I would have never thought those pigments could be used in such beautiful subtle ways. The seagull is exquisite :)
😂🤣🤪Please never stop including your bloopers! I enjoy that so much. Thank you Louise i am really enjoying your Patreon tutorials. They are really helping me get my confidence back. 🥰
I am just delighted that you chose shimmery paints for your tutorial today! I purchased a set a few months ago but I just was afraid they might cheapen a watercolor painting. After seeing your tutorial I can hardly wait to give them a try. Thank you once again
Apart from your amazing knowledge your bloopers are the best. You make us all feel so human and laugh at our own mistakes . Loved it . And I love seagulls
I’ve never been a fan of metallic paints but I love how you used them on your seagull painting! ❤
Bloopers and outtakes are adorable!!! Thank you for sharing Louise!!!
Your bloopers are classic, you facial expressions are the absolute best and these things keep your videos real. Thank you always for providing excellent content and a bit of a giggle at the end too.
🕊️ Your shimmery Seagull is beautiful 😍
I have a few sets of Gansai Tanbi. They are lovely and shimmery! But I rarely use them unless on holiday paintings. Thanks, Louise! Your video was inspiration to try them on other work.
Your videos are always so instructive 🥰 I’m amazed by the color shifts going from black to white paper! So interesting!
Love your work and your hair looks fabulous
I’ve been wondering the best uses for those pigments. Thank you for this. Your seagull is especially beautiful!
Always I am enamored - watching you paint, especially with voiceover.
Questions - what paper do you use for a graphite drawing in advance of a watercolor of that subject, and what is your preferred method of transferring your drawing to watercolor paper?
Thank you.
Louise I just love your bloopers 😂
Love all of your videos. This one was informative for me, thank you.
Loving your fresh new look and as always your wealth of information. Enjoy your bloopers, they show the fun side of your personality.
Thank you so much for this post, Louise. My nephew gave me the Kuritake set which I love as well as some Primatek paints and some interference paints. I never know what to do with them! The seagull is gorgeous.
I am in love with the primateks in the seagull! They are some of my favorite "pants". Ahahaha! Thank you for a wonderful video (as always) Louise! And the little man, its all i can see now in every video. He needs a name.
🤣😊😂 Love the bloopers! Thanks for the examples of how to use sparkly paints. I have several of the duochrome and primatek paints so appreciate seeing how I can better use them. Also, only have one of the metallic paints in gold. Love having a bit of sparkle.
I live this so much. Thank you!
Love the out-takes...and the rest of course!
I love watching your videos!! You are so knowledgeable, and I love your delivery. Your bloopers are the best!!! An amazing artist!!
Very interesting video Louise thank you.I have recently purchased some metallic paints, homemade with honey !! they are lovey in the swatches so I look forward to adding to paintings as you have suggested xx
Gansai Tanbi Starry Colors!!! I love them all.
Enjoy your videos on painting but just wanted to say that your short hair really suits you!😊
As always, thank you for the lovely video ✨ I didn't know about mineral watercolour paints!
PS: this haircut suits you very well ☺

Hi Louise, this subject reminded me of a question I've had in my mind for a while.. re specialty colours and things like gold and pearlesent etc.. even gold leaf.. What happens if you want to create and sell prints of a painting that the original has these effects added? Can they be reproduced?
Hi Micky, I'm hazarding a guess here because I've never tried to create a print from a painting where I have used these specialty paints - I don't think they would reproduce well. The unique reflective properties would be difficult to replicate......I'm not 100% sure though.
Keep those brushes separate because you may never get glitter out of brushes. At least that's been my experience.
Thanks so very much for that advice. I am ok with metallic finishes, but our home is a "glitter free" zone. It gets on everything, and one never gets rid of it, only passes it on. Glitter is the herpes of the crafting world!
Interesting! Which glittery paints were you using? I haven't had it be an issue for me before, its always come out easily. (Knock on wood)
The shimmery paints look beautiful on your seagull. However, my instructor said if I used them and then wanted prints, the gold, for example, would look brown. Any thoughts on how they look in prints?
Love your videos and your bloopers! Thank you! 🇨🇦
I haven't tried these as a print yet but we can always adjust the colours in Photoshop. That and use a high quality art scanner and pigment ink printer to ensure a good colour match.
