The thing about Batman since he has so many writers is that he goes in circles with his development. One day he’s trying to better himself as a person so he can protect his city and the people he cares about then another day he’s using the members of bat family as punching bags and doesn’t give a crap about his son.

3 years ago, I read the seventh part of Jojo, Steel Ball Run. 3 years ago, I began valuing self improvement. After reading the story of Johnny Joestar, I saw so much of myself in his character, most of which were flaws that both he and I shared. I couldn’t believe how similar we were. And after I finished Steel Ball Run, I began to do some reflection. Thinking about ways I can improve my life, primarily by improving who I am as a person. Ever since then, I have always sought self improvement. When I believed I finally got over an issue of mine, I then thought “okay, what else can I improve on?” In 3 years, I have become a completely different person mentally. People from highschool who I’ve seen recently have quite literally told me “you’re nothing like you were in highschool.” (I graduated 4 years ago) And the best part is, I will always continue to grow. Humans can never be perfect, but that means they have infinite potential.
The cinematography is great. I love the mix between manga, anime and live action, all the stories share a common theme that ties them together regardless of medium
One anime that crafts extremely realistically human characters that I wanna give a shoutout here is "Hibike! Euphonium". It is a slife of life - music - drama Anime from KyoAni that focuses on high school girls in band/orchestra, but more so than the actual band stuff, the focus heavily lies on its characters. EVERY single character gets an own arc, development, struggles they go through, making even ones that seem unlikeable at first turn out to be just another character with their own problems just as anyone else and through their development they get more likeable. The way they interact with other characters changing depending on who they interact with and how close they are, the forming bonds and relationships between the characters. Among these characters, the one that stands out the most is the protagonist Kumiko. She is, for me, the most relatable character in all of fiction and definitely my favorite anime character. She is a character that I can put myself into, not because she's this typical perfect anime self-insert character, no, but because I KNOW the things she goes through over the course of the story both in terms of her internal struggles in her mind, blurting her thoughts out out loud, making up scenarios in her head how to handle the situation she's in, and also her outer struggles with her practicing her instrument and trying to improve and how frustrating it is when it doesn't work how you want. Her passive role as more like an observer of the events that unfold in the story and how those influence her and how she influences the other characters are all so incredibly well wirtten and executed, you can't help but love her. The voice actress Tomoyo Kurosawa, who also does Phos' voice in Land of the Lustrous, also does a really great job at making her character seem more alive, like there are tons of videos of "Kumiko noises" here on youtube, just watch those and you know what I mean by that ^^ I guess that's it then, just wanting to spread awareness of the show because of this topic, thanks for coming to my Ted-talk ^^
