When you got to add a device at the top right corner in the app the next screen you are able to either scan the qr code or click on online search. Once you click on online search if you are connected to your wifi it should automatically show your device on the next screen. Once you click on your device enter the password you created for the camera system and it will connect.
Mine would work perfectly and then after 24 hrs it would knock me offline but after rebooting it would work again. I tried everything and it always did this so now I just have it reboot every 24 hrs and it works great.

Well the issue I had was it wouldn't connect to the wifi and the reason for that was because my ip address on the DVR didnt match my actual ip address. Idk how that happened but it was after the app update. If you fallow what I did in the video and use the setup wizard you should be golden

I don't find the system (cameras and dvr) too bad, the cameras could be made to be more adjustable. The biggest issue is in fact this rxcam software! It is too iffy. It will work for a bit then offline, no amount of messing with it helps! I played with it for hours! Same ip addresses, same everything! It needs a complete rework/redesign! For the cost of this system, they must have working software BEFORE it was released for sale!!
I do agree with you about the software. To be honest since I have done this I haven't had anymore issues. Maybe I got lucky. Its working for some but for others it keeps going back offline. Maybe software version?

Ok well maybe we can try and figure this out together. I'm going to do my best to dig into it but first I want to know what version of the app you are using. Comparing could help the situation. I have the version 2.1.9(build003) it should show in the about tab in the app.

Once you have everything set up open the app and on the top left corner press the human icon then from the list press notifications. When the next window opens up press on the top right corner where the settings gear icon is located and on the following window your device will show up and on the right swipe right to turn notifications on for that device. You will receive notifications when the cameras sense a movement. Make sure to adjust the sensitivity on your cameras to your liking because if it's to sensitive you will get a lot of notifications of like just the wind blowing tall grass or trees moving or anything else of that nature. Hope this helped.
This video sucks the bad it's just factory reset All your settings they don't have you get on internet at all cuz it pops up when you look up what you're looking for so yeah great video didn't help me at all this person it's a scammer where you ruin your cameras Don't do nothing this person says

The way I did is reboot the system and unplugged the ethernet cable for 15 minutes and worked again.
