- This beautifully designed app for R-Series cameras is easy to use & has soooo many features! Just like any surveillance system, R-Series security cameras and NVRs come with an app that lets you view your camera feeds from anywhere in the world right from your mobile device. You can use the app to view and interact with your camera feeds in real time, view recordings from your camera's SD card or your recorder's hard drive, set up push notifications so you can always be notified of important events happening on your property, manage camera and recorder settings, and set up camera groups for quick and efficient surveillance review. The RXCamView app has multi-device support, meaning you can add all of your R-Series devices to the app and view them at once, even across different locations. This is great if you have a few different properties with R-Series cameras installed!

First off let me say thank you for taking the time out and making this video it is truly appreciated I do have a problem though my wife got me a tablet and for whatever reason after downloading the rxcamview app on my tablet I go through all the prompts give it permission to do everything like you said but after I scan the QR code it just shuts down on my tablet. Please help

I want to set up ground zones & get notifications. I've tried following your direction but when I get to the list where u click on "intelligence" that word doesn't show in my list. Is there another place to find it or add it?
Also, if I get a new android phone (probably a samsung) is this app compatible with most phones to be able to set up ground zones & notifications as I'm not a business, someone set it up at my residence so I can monitor notifications when I'm away from home.

So I upgraded phones and it is now working. I have 2 more cameras, is it just plug and play to add them? 1080p cobra wireless
Can you do something on the notifications when I click on the clip it says record no data I have to go and find the time on the line it’s self to find the exact spot

My system isn't recording anymore after scheduling got changed. How do I get it back so I can playback recordings again?
Rxccam was working I was in the settings and I hit the ip/p2p switch now it's off line right now but still getting notifications but every thing says it's offline so I can't open them up and view them. How do I switch it back to on line I can't get in to my setting
I don’t know what caused the change but now when I try to view past recorded activity using my phone, my time line is solid blue with no activity marks rather than the green time line with yellow activity markers. How can I get it back to where it should be?
Have a beautiful good morning. I hope you can help me. How did we have these cameras with this app for years. At the beginning everything was perfect, but suddenly the playback was disrupted. Camera 1 has a jerky image. Camera 2 has a smooth image. I made a video. Can I send it to you? .. We don't know where we can change the setting and the seller can't help us.
Does this data upload to a cloud service? It's down to this or reo link for me and reolink has p2p vulnerability. But I need cloud storage.
The only data that is transmitted is either the footage when you are viewing the system, or when you receive an event notification. There is no first party cloud storage option for R-Series currently.
Does the notification has a setting where i can set an start and end time to receive notifications?
In the NVR interface when you set up event triggers, you can indeed set up a schedule for push notifications
Is there any way to add a single camera vs an NVR? It says IPC in the description when you hit the plus but it doesnt work.
Yes, you can add a single camera the same way you add an NVR.
My security guy set this up for me but with an app update, I lost the configuration on my iphone. After I scan the QR code on my DVR; I get the IP address/ID to fill in; I am assuming that the password is the same as needed to login into the DVR. When I use it, the device is still not coming up. Help
So I have the RXcamview3.0 but the mic isn’t allowing me to turn it on. Can you help me figure out why that is ?
What model camera do you have? Did it come from Nellys?
You may need to enable audio when logged into the camera directly if the camera has a microphone.
my only question is where is the log out button in order for me to log into other user?
Will this app work on hd tvi eyeball type with it hooked to a hd recorder
Yes, if you have an R-Series DVR, the app will still work for any of your TVI cameras. As long as the DVR is connected to the Internet.
How do you kick someone off of the app say they moved out and are now stalking you through the cameras

Just set up my system and I can see it as long as I am on my Wi-Fi. Wondering why you changed the Port number? Trying to figure out if this is the reason I can't see it from REMOTE location.
If you can only see it while you're on your local network, you may have added it via the IP address instead of the P2P ID. If you type in your IP address, you'll only be connected to the local camera and not the remote viewing client.
@@NellysSecurity Why did you change the port to 7050? Ours is 80 and we can't view cameras if we're away from home. How do we know what to change it too?

I keep getting a first log in error in red to modify password and does not connect

Going with an NVR on this app would still have the same layout and concept.
My system was set up by a local security company. Everything worked great until recently when my timeline went from a green color with yellow motion detection marks to a solid blue color with no motion detection marks. I called the security company but they could not help me get the app to work as it did before. Is there anyone that is familiar with my problem and how to correct it? I have tried unplugging the system and restarting it, but that didn’t fix the problem
I’m having issues with my camera they are working they are on the tv. The only problem I’m having is the cameras connecting to my phone. The steps are very easy but mine keep saying connect close but all my cameras are on the tv? I need help
I would try enabling DHCP, then setting the DNS servers to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4.
If that does not help, reach out to the distributor that you purchased the unit from and see if there are any available firmware updates for it.
You can also try re-running the app as well to see if that helps after youve switched from wifi to cell data.
Does this work with DVRs?
With R-series DVRs, yes!
Most camera vendors support only mobile app which is a real problem for me. Mobile app is fine on the go but poor experience due to small display. I view live and recorded footage on my Mac laptop 95% of the time. That's why I went with brand X which supports desktop app.
R-Series has a Mac application called "Camviewer Pro"
At 4:14 you added a port #. Where did you get that port #?
RXCamView auto adds 80 here as the port number. You would need to modify it to either 7050 or 9000 depending on your model number.
@@NellysSecurityI have an Amcrest model IP4M-S2112EW-AI camera. How Do I find which port number to put in the RX cam view app when adding this camera? I have a port forward setup for this camera for remote viewing through Synology Surv Station. Don't know if that matters. Any help is greatly appreciated
We don't carry Amcrest so we can't promise they will be compatible with the R-Series app!
Have you figured out how to cast the screen from your phone to a TV?
As of right now, using app cast from your phone to the smart TV is the best route. That will mirror your entire phone to the TV however.

You probably have the wrong port number there! Try either 7050 or 9000.
@@NellysSecurity I have the same problem. Tried both 7050 and 9000. It only connects with my NVR. Says connect close when I try to add the cameras.

I would recommend doing the following:
1. Set the DNS servers on the unit to 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4
2. Close the app out completely, and re-open.
3. Enable DHCP on the device you are adding to the app.
the app will not let me use it unless i give it full access to my camera, microphone, music and audio. I feel very reluctant to allow a Chines company to have full access to all my information.
You don't need to give it those permissions, you'll just miss out on some features. With no camera access, you can't scan the QR code for your devices, but you can opt to type in the ID instead. The microphone permissions is for 2-way audio, which is an optional feature. It needs access to your files in order to save screenshots and recordings to your camera roll, which is again optional. For just viewing and interacting with your cameras, you shouldn't need to grant access to anything you're not comfortable with.
password reset, change is greyed out and the app is useless for me.

How in the world can I retrieve my username and password on my rxcamview app
Hi Ken! The username and password by default is "admin/admin" for cameras and "admin/admin789" for recorders. If you've changed the password and need to reset it, follow these instructions: support.nellyssecurity.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041463173-How-To-Reset-an-R-series-Password
My app will start to open then it closes...
You may try reinstalling to see if that helps!
I've tried a few times and nothing.
It's my phone, I tried it on an iPad and it's improving. Now it is asking to change passscode, but keeps failing, "password modification failed"
The app did not work with androids. iPad and iPhone only.

Change your playback speed. Make it slower.
Every time i search it to add to app i add my id and password but it keeps saying incorrect
