    YES!! I’ve been shooting and editing raw with Lightroom mobile for a good while now getting the most out of my iPhone 11Pro, and finally just bought an a6100 as my first dedicated camera. While being excited about the new possibilities with the 6100, I’ve been slightly worried as to how I would go about viewing and editing photos, as I’m unsure whether my pc is capable, and Lightroom on pc requires a subscription. I was discouraged with the raw to jpeg conversion with wireless transfer. So the fact that I can use an SD card- to iPhone- dongle and view, edit, and post images anywhere on the fly with Lightroom mobile for free is amazing. Thank you!!

    Converting RAW files to JPEG is actually a feature to me! Because I often go out to trips with my family and sometimes I shoot landscape sometimes just some fun family pictures so converting and sending RAW files to family is a big headache. Thank you for the awesome information.

    Following your instructions, the cameral goes to QR code. However, there is no function on my IEM app to scan. If I just try the iPhone XR camera, it states that there is 'no data'. In wifi, the Direct-RwE1:ILCE-6100 reads Low Data Mode. Camera is in Send to Smartphone mode and shows 'Sharing..." Nothing showing in IEM images after many minutes. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    This is one of those moments where I'm glad I use a PC/android and not a Mac/iPhone (I know its super sinful hahaha). I can just connect my camera straight into my computer.

    This is an embarrassingly simple question.
    First, may I say, that despite virtually every American TH-cam site, not everyone owns, or will own an iPhone- I will not.
    That said, how do I transfer my files from both my a6000 and a6400 basically to my Intel-based notebook ( may be getting an Ipad and will need to transfer to Ipad for editing- but that is not the present issue).
    Need to transfer Raw and jpg files from both cameras to my Wintel notebook as do not really intend to upload to social media and have deliberately had large SSD drive installed on the notebook.
    Want to transfer via Wifi, everyone else seems to find it as easy as pie, but not me.
    Looking forward to your assistance, Thanks in advance.

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re zooming in on your camera and see the detail is much better than after you transfer it, then it’s definitely the transfer affecting it.

    I am a beginner in photography and I am looking for a mirrorless camera solely for photography. Can you please let me know which camera - Sony A6100 or Canon M50 Mark ii is better for photography including low light performance? Or are both cameras equally good as far as photography is concerned?

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really equally as good. I’d say the canon is more beginner friendly, so it depends on camera body style you’d prefer, or if you wanna try Sony vs canon. Flip out screen vs flip up, etc.

    • @ayushp5323
      @ayushp5323 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kyletaggart Oh okayy sure. Actually I just wanted to know performance wise which of the two cameras Sony A6100/Sony ZV E10 and Canon M50 Mark II performs better? I can adjust with the body/dimensions and screen type, but performance is something I can't alter once I have made the purchase. Hence I just wanted to know which of the camera performs better in photography alone along with the performance in low light situations/indoor situations at home etc. I am not into videography much. My primary focus is clicking pictures/photography. So your opinion will be highly appreciated in this aspect.

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s not dramatically or noticeably different. The Sony cameras have a higher shooting rate, for say sports, but only slightly. Sensors are very similar between the 3. The Sony cameras have a bit more sophisticated eye AF/focus points. The ZV E10 doesn’t have a viewfinder, so I’d eliminate that for photo only use just my personal preference to suggest cameras for photography that have a viewfinder and screen.

    Hi 👋 I have a problem. When I take pictures and send it to my phone (Wi-Fi so turn it into JPEG) why it look so different. I mean in the camera monitor looks bright but when I send to my phone, on my phone looks so dark (I already change the setting in my phone tho) so I don’t know what to do :/ thank you

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      interesting, would have to see what your camera settings are at. As in ISO, Aperture, shutter speed. You may see a slight brightness difference from camera to phone, but it shouldn't be anything dramatic. If you transfer it to another device - tablet or computer, is it dark there as well?

    • @fredhernandez9935
      @fredhernandez9935 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kyletaggart yesss actually that’s what happens. On the camera screen look amazing. With good light I use, ISO auto from 100 to 12600, f 3.5 1/60 1/100 depends, and and white compensation around +0.5 or +1.0 anyways. On the camera looks awesome but once I send it to my phone (iPhone 11) looks very dark, poor colors and not definitions. I mean my phone camera take better pictures, and I’m so disappointed because I bought the camera to have a better quality and now I kinda want to sell it cause I don’t want to use it anymore

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fredhernandez9935 it's definitely not the issue of the camera not being able to take better photos than an iphone. The settings will determine how bright the image is, but if you can see it on the camera I'd imagine it should reflect similar on the phone. Like I said, check to see if the same result happens if you transfer photos directly to a computer. Also, try to take a photo outside of the auto mode, take a photo in manual - maybe you don't understand the settings too much there, but just make sure the photo is exposed ok(meaning it's lit ok, looks like an ok photo), then transfer that photo to your phone and see if it's the same result.

    • @BULLIER8
      @BULLIER8 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@kyletaggart I'm actually having this same issue as well. I'm not sure if this is the issue by using IEG sending images to a phone? The colours and overall exposure is way different from in-camera live view. I have to try sending it to PC and see if there's any drastic changes.

    When you shoot JPEG and then transfer it through wifi to the phone does the jpeg keep its quality?

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It does lose some quality. It will transfer as a smaller file than a full resolution jpg. If you’re not doing serious editing, it should be fine. I use the wifi transfer when traveling and uploading/posting in the moment.

    Side note: I haven’t been able to find how to read that QR code to connect my phone to my camera - have you found out where in the Imaging Edge app is? (Now my phone remembers my camera - only ran into the issue when I got a new phone...)

    • @kyletaggart
      @kyletaggart  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Imaging Edge Mobile - is the app name. They deprecated the Sony Play Memories app. The camera shown in the vid is the a6100 - I changed the title from a6000. It’s a very similar process though - and all Sony cameras use that app.
