Thank you for your video! Its a rainy day in PA and I have broken front wheel studs on our 2012. I stopped in to see your video to see if I could spy a spot in the assembly process where without going out to the car in the rain, I could determine whether or not the studs can be pulled without pulling the bearing. My patence in watching through to the end was rewarded when in a BRIEF glimpse you provided, I could clearly see at 947 and 948 that mazda provided a small notch in the assembly to let the stud pass through! It is shown in your video at the 3 o'clock position at 9:47 and 9:48! Now I can hop in the car and go get some studs and lug nuts.

Perfect! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! No press needed! I rented the bearing tool from Advance and my son and I knocked this out in no time. I really appreciate your taking the time to post your video.

Thank you for this. Replacing the front hub bearings and hub on my wife's 2012 Ford Fusion which is the same chassis as your Mazda 6.

I've got winding in the front of my car I'm just specting it's the bearings but I've also had the auto done lately could that be the noise I'm hearing instead overbearing because I've checked the bearing and it's got no play in it at all

How'd you remove the bolt on the axle? I've broken a cheap breaker bar on it.

You should have not cut out the part where you removed the rest of the bearing from the hub. A FYI for anyone doing this, just buy a new hub to install on the new bearing. It is not worth saving the old hub.

Frankly the process is "take it off". A bearing separator works better to me in these situations. The instructions for either tool are on the tool and not vehicle specific. For the separator put it behind the race you need to take off. Tighten it. Pull it off using the puller.

@@Rainmotorsports it was a nightmare to remove is why I commented that. I ended up having to beat the bearing to move it just enough to get the fingers behind to remove it from the hub.

I immediately stopped the video when he started pounding on the socket with a hammer! Don't EVER do that!! This guy is a hack and should not be posting videos anywhere.

It's a diy video.. it's all about trying to use common tools you probably find in any simple yard.

He did not pound on the steering bearing, just on the shaft, there is even a clunk space there, to release som tension on the boltshaft. He could used a decoupler, with the risk of tearing the rubber boot. Its totally fine like that.
Not sure why he did not pull the lockspring form the bearing first...
