    OUTSTANDING!!! Especially breaking down knee position; the difference in the two; and then demonstrating it and explaining what U experienced!!! OUTSTANDING!!! Especially explaining the need to keep the body and arms tensed and flexed during this particular movement for support and control of the body throughout the exercise!!! OUTSTANDING!!! Especially the breakdown on finger position placement and why!!! OUTSTANDING!!! Especially the breakdown on Shoulder movement within the Pike Push-ups exercise and why!!! OUTSTANDING!!! Especially the final phase of reminding us just how important a fundamental exercise of DIPS can be so beneficial to developing the strength needed to push the lower body up from the inverted position!!!
    Thank U, very much, Sir!!!😍😷🕵💫

    This is brilliant; really informative a presented well. I just started getting into Calithenics; 2 months now. How long it take you to achieve the handstand? I’m working out 1hr a day and spending 10 - 15mins attempting the frog! 🤣👍

      That's awesome! It took me maybe about 3-6 months to hold a sketchy one. And by 9 months I could hold a straight one.

    How did you condition your body to make a frog stand? i am suffering from a torn shoulder , is this okay to do with a torn rotator cuff?

    • @LiftYourselfFitness
      @LiftYourselfFitness  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can be ok to do. Does it hurt to do a pushup? When holding frogstand (and push ups too) keep your wrists close to your side. You can try turning your hands outwards a little bit also to help with this.

    • @meowtrox1234
      @meowtrox1234 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LiftYourselfFitness Push up is permissible as long as i keep my shoulder distance close i lock my shoulder. Thank you i needed the confidence to attempt this frogstand . Problem i'm facing now is i tend to slip my elbows against my knees , but i'll keep on trying hopefully to gain the strength and muscle memory to accomplish it. Thank you for your response and awesome video explanation best of luck!

      JustKanji SAME. But I can only do a handstand from a frog stand I have trouble doing it standing up which is weird I guess lol

    • @JustKanji
      @JustKanji 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well, its not so weird. Kicking into a handstand is more dynamic, you need to land in a certain position and if you overshoot or undershoot it it's very hard to go into balance. Pressing into a handstand requires more strength but it is a slow and controlled way of getting into alignment..
      I'd suggest to try kicking up from the floor and not from standing up, it gives you more control as there's less variants to the kick up, do it against a wall at 1st and try multiple times to kick and do a handstand without actually touching it, practice pressing with your fingers when you over shoot and letting go if it's borderline.
      Another thing that helps you learn the right balance point is holding it back to wall, resting on the wall and then pressing your fingers to go freestanding.
      Also when you kick up, keep waist high, core tight and swing one leg straight before you kick with the other.

    Hi, Awesome Tips and Exercises! Thank!
    I have a question; I have a decent l-sit(15s) and handstand(20s) and want to learn a transition into the handstand. I finally want to be able to do the press into handstand and l-sit to handstand. What is the better skill to start with or which one is easyer?
    Is it the right way if I do frogstand to handstand first since this is only one part of the transition I want to learn anyway?
    Thanks so much in advance! (;

    • @LiftYourselfFitness
      @LiftYourselfFitness  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      How has your training been going? Frogstand to hs is a bit easier but with L-sit you can use some momentum. I recently uploaded a couple of videos with my favorite exercises for bent arm strength.

  • @STBRetired1

    It's amazing how calisthenics and gymnastics can build strength but not muscle. And strength athletes and bodybuilders have the muscles but may not be able to do a frogstand to handstand. I guess it's all in the direction that the muscles are used to being worked.

    • @ragetobe
      @ragetobe 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But you can build and do build muscle while training in calisthenics and gymnastics when it’s done properly.
