Bristle nose plecos are easy as long as you have a big enough tank 25-30gal and in my experience are incredibly active and my tank In direct sunlight has never had algae since I put my pleco in there! I'm not sure if khuli loaches eat algae but if they do they would have been a great addition to this video!
Ohhh wow. A Bristlenose Pleco is on my list of tank mates to try one day, possibly for my 55 gallon. At the moment, I don't want to put any in there as I have Otocinclus Catfish and Hillstream Loaches in there, and don't want a high competition for algae. As for Kuhli's, since they are scavengers, they could possibly eat some algae that's growing on the substrate but that's about it.
They can be picky when it comes to BBA but from what I've read, if you don't feed the tank, they will slowly pick at it. Every shrimp is different so there may be cases where they don't even go after this type of algae.
Which of these algae eaters do you keep? If you also know of any others, list them below.
Great video!!
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
