  • Mercedes CLS550 AMSOIL Radiator Coolant Change was relatively straightforward however you do need a needle nose pliers to open the coolant valve and a gentle touch because you don't want to crack the plastic.
    Low Toxicity Antifreeze and Engine Coolant:

    Also it takes a long time to drain the coolant because the drain nozzle is very small.

    Why do you recommend 50,000 mile change intervals when its good for 150,000 miles?

      To extend the life of the component providing smoother operation faster shifting better gas mileage

      Better cooling capability also less chance for corrosion to set in if there's any mixing of other coolants. I thought this was the transmission video LOL

    Another great video Eben. Is the coolant suitable for all passenger car makes and models? You did say aluminum engines so I would assume it's good for, lets say a Honda Civic?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Richard Ojeda - Amsoil low toxicity coolant can be mixed with all other coolants. However when you mix them it shortens the life of the formula.
      It's always best to get as much of the old radiator coolant out as possible.
      If you leave 10% of the old coolant in it will not hurt anything😊
      Plus I always recommend changing it every 50,000 miles even though Amsoil says it's good for 5 years a hundred fifty thousand miles.
      Because if you change it earlier you'll never get build up in the system and you'll never have to flush it.

      Great question I highly recommend the Amsoil zero 40 European classic that's what I run my car you'll see everything right here in the lookup guide for your vehicle I also recommend the fuel efficient ATF fluid and the severe gear oil for the differential. 3.4 brake fluid and the pi performance improver upper cylinder lubricant and engine flush you'll see all that on the playlist on my car if you go through the playlist section you'll see everything I did to my SL550 and it now runs better than brand new runs longer stronger better fuel mileage than new and more horsepower to the wheels.
      I give a man a fishing pole & show him how to fish.
      Together! We can get your vehicles to run better than brand new!

    Does it require using a vacuum to remove air so not to damage engine?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No there is no vacuum needed You want to make sure you have the heater on high and it turned the maximum heat and you start the car and you'll see how I burp it in the video after all the airlines are out the heater should be blowing hot and that's how you know there's no air bubbles.
      I highly recommend the low toxicity biodegradable coolant and also the AMSOIL dominator coolant boost mixed with distilled water is a very good combo your car will run a lot smoother.
      This is my Amsoil info always happy to help you with your car anytime.
      When you use my link that will give me credit and I'll be your Amsoil dealer in the future I can always answer all your questions

    I’ve been changing my oil 5000 miles or every 3 months. How come you do it once a year? I live in the east coast.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question there's some different products out there most OEM motor oils are called full synthetic and they are 25% synthetic or more.
      Which means up to 75% of it can be mineral oil mineral oil breaks down quicker.
      The Amsoil is 100% synthetic It's good for much much much much much longer.
      The biggest limiting factor is the oil filter I recommend changing the oil filter every 7,500 mi on a car like this especially.
      It also depends on how much dust is in the area where you're driving because some of that dust gets into the motor oil.
      There's other components like how much ethanol is in the fuel you're driving and using.
      For most cars like this with Amsoil the oil is going to be good for 10 to 20,000 miles just depending on how you're driving it.

    Every 5 years for coolant change? I always did mine at every three years, and some cars every two years. I am now converting to Evans waterless coolant that is lifetime coolant.

    Wrong coolant. Does not meet 325.0 spec.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The coolant we use in this video is the low toxicity biodegradable coolant that one is specifically designed for the toughest specifications you'll see all the 18-wheeler specifications on the technical bulletin lookup guide it's also compatible with all other coolants makes models and colors except obviously waterless coolant which is like Evans cool which you can't put anything in.
      This is the specifications and the technical bulletin on that exact product It's my favorite That's what I use in all my vehicles My personal SL550 and my 1959 Cadillac DeVille.
