    Yo Eben, I bought my dad that Coolant Boost for fathers day. He put it in his 55' Chevy and he swears by it now. The car does run about 15° cooler around town which is damn impressive

      I know I used to get them mixed up when I used to work at the Honda dealership from the front at a glance you can't even tell the difference.
      I always used a point at a ridge line and say hey look at how nice this pilot is!!!

    Very interesting. I have all digital gauges in my car, would be interesting to compare how quickly the car warms up that way. I'm guessing you could time it and see the improvements, assuming ambient and starting coolant temps are consistent.

      I think it would be mind-blowing!
      Because the Porsche engine runs nice and warm and I think it would warm up about 15% faster than the Honda

    Its all in the block. There's a bleeder vavle on the rear of the block specifically for this. Theres probably close to a gallon in there.

    The best product you can use for your vehicle is waterless coolant by Evens. You never have to flush it and you will never deal with corrosion issues.

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Evans does recommend you call them for your application because if you are doing racing and other things like that you may need a higher specific heat which would be distilled water to cool the system depending on the capacity so there are some other variations Evans is in great option but not for every vehicle.
      I called Evans and had a talk with them and they were very professional and honest about all the applications.

    Hi Eben!! If your car's coolant capacity is 6.8 quarts how much of the coolant booster should you use in a 40% coolant 60% percent distilled water mix on a all year round warm climate? Thanks in advance for your prompt response.!!!

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If it was 40% cool and concentrate I would run probably about 2/3 of the bottle

    If I had my transmission fluid mix with my coolant (strawberry milkshake of death) because of a radiator failure, do I have to flush the system out really good? Or will filling and draining new coolant a few times filter out most of it? I tried to flush some water through it with a hose but because of the thermostat it didn’t really go though the system enough. :( thanks

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a great question I really don't know anything about the GTR I would consult an expert with that vehicle.
      I do know I wouldn't drive it if it didn't look right if the fluid doesn't look right I wouldn't continue to drive it.

      Synthetic Oil Protection oh it’s not on a GTR it’s on a ridgeline lol. I haven’t driven it in a few months. I replaced the radiator now I just need to fill it with new coolant. But I’m sort of afraid there’s still transmission fluid in the engine block. Thx for the reply!

      @@thefastandthefurious1 hey, what ended up happening to your fluid coolant mixture in the radiator ? I had the milkshake issue in my Ridgeline and the mechanic told me he flushed the transmission and installed a new radiator but there is still a bit of milkshake fluid floating at the top of the radiator cap. I tried siphoning it and am contemplating doing a radiator flush myself

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I would do a couple of draining fills and fill it with distilled water.
      When you feel it the last time it's good to use the amsoil low toxicity biodegradable coolant and also the other one that's great is called the amsoil Dominator coolant boost which is the orangish bottle.

    How do you get out air bubles?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would want to squeeze the radiator hose and let the car idle.
      Usually all the bubbles come out then.
      It's also good to run the heater core and turn the heat on high.

  • @Killmonize

    What makes this better than the honda coolant?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It lasts longer it's also biodegradable and low toxicity.
      The Honda coolant will kill animals because it has it's a standard coolant that's toxic to them and also taste sweet cats and dogs.
      Also you will find that the Dominator coolant boost will make your car run smoother also you'll feel a little more power and you'll get better gas mileage and your car will warm up quicker.
      These are all improvements over OEM Honda radiator coolant

    If you are doing a brand new coolant change, why do u need the boost?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question Jay Just depends on application also depends on coolant mix ratio and coolant being used

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are coolants that are racing coolant that have special additives for surfactant some have no surfactant the Amsoil has that in it however it does wear off and it also depends on the mix ratio the more distilled water you run the more surfactant you want the more coolant you run the less surfactant you want because the surfactant is in the coolant.
      Also the surfactant is a chemical and that chemical breaks down with oxidation and heat so it has to be replenished in the coolant system You do not have to change the fluid but you actually want to replenish it and it says right on the bottle on Amsoil dominator coolant boost good for 1 year or 30,000 mi whichever comes first So what I usually do is around the 10 month mark I start adding a little teeny bit and I keep it supplemented throughout the year incrementally adding into the system.
      Also most systems have breathers so they all go down in volume so I always top mine off with distilled water to keep it up at water level.
      Just subtleties but all the subtleties add up and make a difference in power performance fuel mileage and you'll also notice your motor will run quieter and smoother
