its a fun album for me and it gives me a good feeling, i also prefer anthems but at the same time i do get bored of hearing a singer do the same thing so its refreshing to hear different styles of singing on this album. but i do think liam needed a good guitar player on the record, he really lacked that on his solo stuff. big fan of this album and i think it'll grow on you more over time to be honest
I really like this album but i can see why it may not be for everyone, i think cos liam is the front man people would expect an oasis feel to tge album but thats just not the kind of music john squire writes or wants to write. Overall i love the bluesy feel to the album and cant wait to see them live
U think I'm a wheel is the best song on the album ❤ but i do get the feeling that this album focus on Johns guitar and Liam just pops in for the singing
I love this album. ITS BIBLICAL, CELESTIAL, OUT OF THIS WORLD & 100% MAD FER IT! 11/10 I Think it's better than As You Were and C'mon You Know (but I still love those albums). It maybe better than Why Me? Why Not. but I don't know that album is good as well. LGxJS is definitely one of Liam’s best post oasis work along with some of John Squire best since the last time The Stone Roses were together. Also some of the best since Beady Eye’s first album. Favourite songs: Raise Your Hands, Mars to Liverpool, One Day at a Time, Just Another Rainbow, Make It Up as You Go Along, You're Not the Only One & Mother Nature's Song Here is my ranking of all of Liam’s solo album and the two Beady Eye albums along with LGxJS: 1. Different Gear, Still Speeding (2011), Why Me? Why Not. (2019) & Liam Gallagher & John Squire (2024) 2. C'mon You Know (2022) 3. As You Were (2017) 4. BE (2013)
It’s a good album that achieves that easily. I get where some people are coming from as regards the lyrics etc. liam sounds great, John does too. There are some many other artist that are trying so hard, lyrically etc and not connecting These two are just coasting , not giving a f***, and connecting anyway.
I do enjoy the blues but it doesn't really work here, like you said Liam works better with anthems or psychedelia but not blues....maybe a reggae album lol kind if enjoyed 'im free'
@@playitloud88 no it's definitely not, its a strange one because it kind of does make sense on paper with both of them but it just never seems to mesh.
It's quite a weak and forgettable album not many will still be talking about in a few months time. And that Squire chap is both boring and pretentious beyond belief.
How rude and hurtful comment, squires a very quiet and introverted guy. Very polite and genuinely a nice chap, we could do with less bad vibes in this world
The two singles are so much better than the other 8 songs. Raise Your Hands is absolutely awful, surprised you picked it as your fave, but for me, it sucks badly. Squire said, and I think Liam agreed, Mother Nature’s Song was the best song on the album, and I was left so disappointed. This song wasn’t good enough at all I’m So Bored - indeed. What a pointless song A couple are pretty good or have some amazing guitar sounds and work in places, but it doesn’t kick in perfectly Some of Liam’s vocals aren’t the best, and some lyrics might seem created by AI - but it’s above average I expect and hope it to be a grower, but for now it’s nowhere near the hype. Definitely not best album since Revolver 🫣🤦♂️
Respect your opinion on raise your hands. Best album since revolver is a bizarre thing for ppl to say since all the Oasis albums and stone roses came after revolver lol and it's defo not better than them 🤨
@@playitloud88 well Jim, four weeks on and I’m starting to grow into liking Raise Your Hands. It’s not brilliant but it’s not bad. So originally after a handful of listens felt it was awful, having heard it a lot more it sounds alright. Won’t have opened with it though. It’s good. More like Seahorses than Oasis but obvious reasons why
Couldn't agree more!

Nice mate, tbh Im expecting this album will likely grow on me 🙂

Fair points mate 🙂
Love you forever hendrix domore
It sounds like you like pop music which is up you but this isn’t that
I do like a lot of experimental stuff but I guess I just get a bit too nostalgic for the Liam anthem... I do think this album might grow on me

I'm glad it's not just me .. I just don't feel like he fits on these songs

Is it the best album release since Revolver...
No chance haha
