- When asking any New Yorker or foodie what the best steakhouse in NYC is they will often say Peter Luger Steakhouse or Keens Steakhouse. However, what if I told you the best steak in New York City was actually in Times Square? I have eaten at Peter Luger and Keens, but I find Gallagher the best steak in NYC. It is one of the best eats in Times Square and one of the best restaurants in Times Square and it's a great non tourist trap restaurant in Times Square.
The best part about Gallagher's Steakhouse is the Gallaghers lunch special. For $29 you get a three course meal, including a soup or salad, filet mignon, and a delicious dessert. The Gallaghers cheesecake is one of the best New York cheesecakes I have ever had and one of the best cheesecakes in New York City.
While I had the Gallaghers Steakhouse filet mignon, I hear great things about the Gallaghers Steakhouse porterhouse, the Gallaghers Steakhouse ribeye steak, and the Gallaghers steakhouse sirloin steak. And the Gallaghers steakhouse steak sauce recipe is amazing, it pairs perfectly with the steak!
This review was on the Gallaghers Steakhouse NYC location. But outside of the Gallaghers Steakhouse New York location, I hear there is a Gallaghers Steakhouse Las Vegas location as well. If anyone has been there before let me know how it is! In the 90s, I was a vegetarian for 3-years, and worked out in a NYC gym. One day, I was walking by Gallagher’s window, and decided I wanted the biggest steak I could get, and went in. Had the greatest workout I had in years, and it was my last day as a vegetarian.

Great review. My wife and I treated ourselves to dinner at Gallaghers last night. Fantastic food and excellent service. Shout out to Robert our waiter. About 3 blocks away from our hotel. Well worth the price.

Looks good, but Delmonico's is my choice for best steakhouse in the NY. The bone in rib-eye is life changing; seriously one of the most perfect-in-every-way steaks I've ever eaten. Perfectly seared and slightly crisp on the outside; endless juicy, tender, flavorful bites when you start working your way through the meat on the bone. Every bite was a wave of euphoria washing over my brain continuously. Paired with their perfectly blended potatoes; dragging a forkful of that juicy steak through those creamy clouds, I can't recommend it enough.
here in philly our top spot imo is barclay prime (formal attire recommended) The wagyu ny strip I had was on another level of taste
I went to Gallagher's the last time I was in NYC, definitely one of the best, if not the best steakhouse I've ever been to. Great channel UA, keep up the good work!!!

If Gallagher's ages their meats in the front window. For a fancy New York steakhouse the restaurant must stink to high heaven as soon as you walk in the front door.

that steak and cheesecake look perfect. As for a wedge salad, if you ever get to Morris Plains NJ, you have to have the Wedge Salad at Arthur's Tavern... it is fantastic. Thank you for excellent videos.
Interesting to me that a steak house has photographs of horses on the wall, like the horses are showing the cows who's boss.
Wonder if they would let you order 2 lunch specials... Imagine soup and salad, sliced filet with roasted potatoes mushrooms and onions plus chicken with green beans, cheesecake and key lime pie! That would be a feast for only $58
Loved eating frequently at the bar here in the '80's. I was very pleased to see that it is till going strong. Only problem eating at the bar was when a group of guys wearing heavy cologne came and sat beside me. I didn't even have to ask, the waiters knew. The immediately found a table to move me to. There is a lot of New York sports history oozing from every corner of this restaurant, and the high energy of the crowd is always a big part of the whole experience. Thanks for the enthusiastic review. Oh ya, the steaks really are sensational too. Simple and delicious.

You should go to Benjamin Steakhouse in NYC. One of the best Dry Age Ribeyes with great popcorn / nutty butter Umami. You might have a better experience at these steakhouses if you spend a few more bucks to get a proper aged cut in my opinion.

This is by far the best steakhouse in the area (including NJ), I've been to all the big hitters like Keen's, Sparks, Quality Meats, Peter Lugers, Wolfgang's, Roots, and Gallagher's is consistent with great service and food.

I had a fabulous lunch special I will never forget at The Palm in Las Vegas Forum Shops. It was a 8 ounce FM with Bordelaise Sauce, Mushrooms, and sautéed Onions. It included grilled Asparagus and mashed potatoes. I had a Cesar Salad to start and cheesecake for dessert.

I'm sorry UA, but a review on the Filet Mignon? Filet Mignon is the most tender part of the cow. It's extremely hard to cook a filet bad. Even if you forget the steak and happen to cook it more than well done, it's pretty TENDER! Also, in my opinion, if you Happen to over cook a filet, it will be Tender! Hard to go wrong when cooking a filet. Also, just because filet is the most tender part, not always the most flavorful.
