✨️I just came back to this video... it's extremely helpful and the exact info I am seeking. Thank you again my brother. Happy New Year to you and your family. Blessings Always 🙏🏾💯🙌🏾💚
Nice vid on sampling and smooth chops as always bro. And I do agree to that in the end, we are recording raw audio no matter what the source. But what is really cool is that we as producers have all the tools necessary to dress up a sample (filtering, bit reduction, resolution, effects, etc) to shape a sample texturally into whatever we want, even in the case of non-traditional sampling techniques. I respect your talent and game Darrin (my given name as well) and will say, keep the heat coming.
First and foremost.. Great name to have my brother lol! Thank you so much for the kind words and awesome feedback, and you're absolutely right; digging is digging, and while I love grabbing some vinyl from the record store, if it's not possible, e-digging is just fine! Appreciate you man!!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
@@djaffbolik LOL!!! Yes I did bro, good eye! When I ordered it, I saw someone else who had a retro knob, so I went to MPC Stuff and got one. It would have been NICE if Akai would have made all the knobs retro!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
@@djaffbolik Yeah man, they dropped the ball with that bruh. Overall it's a sweet piece of gear, especially in person, but the knobs REALLY would have been hot.
Nice video!! I've got the same first setup as you, cord, dongle, & everything!! I e-dig a lot because I can't always get to the record shops. I'm like you, digging is digging!! Where ever you find the dope samples!! Gett'em how you can!! 👊🏾💯
Yo big bro i just figured recently. First of all I don’t know about android phone but I use iPhone with mpc live 2 and literally you can transfer files via lightning to usb type B cable also you can transfer files from mpc to phone
Just ordered those cables from all 3 links, what cables should I buy to hook into my apollo twin to get it to my daw? I'm guessing a couple 1/4 cables. Anyway, says my retro 2 will be here on Wed. I'll be making a unboxing vid right away. ✌
Sorry bro, I can't help you with that because I'm DAW Less, so I don't want to steer you down the wrong path. There's tons of guys who can help on TH-cam that operate in DAWs tho🙏🏾✊🏾
Not working with the usb c adapter to rca. Same exact cables, no "moniter" button only says "in" and "off" for options. I have the back volume up and using the built in mpc speakers. Phono is on too. Getting only a low fuzz sound. Still waiting on the other cables that don't have the adapter. I have it set on line 1,2 and stereo
@@ryanreedtv3242 double check and make sure that the rca is plugged in correctly. Hopefully it's maybe a poor connection with the cable and not anything else
@@lindasson figured it out, the usb c adapter to rca doesn't seem to work for my s20 ultra. Has to be the 1/4th to the adapter with "line" switch on. I plugged the rca cables into my Nintendo switch headphone jack and now it works. Other than that, I'm not sure why mine says "in" instead of "monitor" on the screen. Maybe it's the 2.9 update? Anyway thanks man
@@ryanreedtv3242 Glad it worked bro! I have the same phone, and I have no issues, but as long as it's working, you're good. Rock out bro, have fun 🙏🏾✊🏾
Oh wow I'm sorry fam, but I don't even the software, I use Standalone only. Maybe you can record the sample while using Standalone, save it as a sample to your MPC, then go into controller mode and load the sample
Make sure you check the cables that you're using, because if you're MPC functioning you should be good to go. Hopefully it works out for you my friend!🙏🏾✊🏾💚
@@lindasson thank you I figured it out I actually had to change the Sounds input in the preferences menu to have it running through the audio box it worked fine in stand alone but not in controller mode but I figured it out
@@lindasson Scott Magil is right bro, I bought the same cables as you and the sound quality seemed off, I then replaced the cables with the 1/4 and put them in the input after checking for advice on MPC world and the sound quality was greatly improved
