Lifted Noise yes. Sometimes I also use this to « resample » a part of sequence (only drums or only bass for example) with some crossfader cuts, like in scratch/turntablism, by sending tracks through a DJ mixer. It takes more place in the projects but it allows a lot of things by directly remixing tracks, that you can also chop, pitch down/up and play something new with...
Pretty cool LN, thanks. Or, you could just drop a loop into a Clip program. That's it. No sequencing it, no duplicating, just assign a loop to a pad in a Clip program.
Thanks 🙏 logic would probably be my go to if I was still on a computer but all standalone now! The setup has changed a little bit. Got a nicer desk and an MPC ONE rather than the LIVE.
Main page Track 01>Transpose set to 1. Program 001>Warp samples> Global tab>note on. Samples tab>pad loop on. For different drum loops, I include them in the same mute group to alternate back and forth.
So after your drum loop, let’s say it’s 16 bars, how do you go about recording new audio loops using, guitar, bass, or vocals? Can you build up audio loops and then have them loop on the pads without having to hold the pads? Something like Abelton clip launching.
Thanks for the question. I don't think there is a way to continuously loop in other recordings without manually Sequencing them. The best thing is probably the looper but loops will need to be exported/assigned to a pad, which is pretty quick but from there I do believe they still need to be sequenced by tapping the pads.
Hi his was great, I use Logic and it’s a breeze to just drag it along. May I ask where you leaned the majority of your information from? Great channel!

@@LiftedNoise well it’s working great for you and I needed that information so thanks ! Question, I heard you need a separate interface to plug guitar into the MPC, can you recommend a handy interface if so?

What if a person wants to perform live? What would be a good way to set up and triggers different sections of a song? Is there a way to play a drum loop and also finger drum fills and variations over the top. And when you stop playing live the regular loop just continues what’s you don’t adding fills over the top?
You could look into clip tracks, I've never used it so I can't say much about it. What you're looking to do though sounds like it could be done if you just sequence that loop and play over top with your live fingerdrumming
@@LiftedNoise fasho. I’m thinking of an audio sampled drum loop playing about 2 or 4 bars while also having that sample chopped across the drum pads. And being able to play fills using the pads to jump to certain parts of the sample and a fill or variation. Then when I’m done jamming the original sample just proceeds to play. Would I need the sample playing continuously in the background . Or would the pads take over for the moment. Muting the sample. Then playing the sample as usual once I’m done hitting pads. Or would I just have to have the full sample on one of the pads and just trigger the looping of the fulls sample by hitting the pad that has the full sample on it?
@ray_maestro_ yea I would sequence the full sample from one pad and have the sequence playing. Put the chopped version of the loop in to a mute group with the loop as well so it will cut off the loop when you trigger the chops. If your triggering the chops/fills right before the 1 where the loop is sequenced it should play seemlessly.
Ahhh ok! In Looper I layered my guitar,Keys and Bass. Is there any way to take that loop and turn into a project or song or maybe record audio tracks along side of it?
Those layers will become 1 sample. You'd have to export each loop as you perform it, assign it to a pad, sequence that pad, clear the looper and then record your next layer, and so on for as many layers as you want.
@@LiftedNoise thank you it's weird cause there are videos of people using other loopers with the mpc but not any showing the mpc's own overdubbing which is something it does do..

@@majorcloud9141 I'm working out a video or live stream for you on the looper. Like you said it's not the best looper if you are trying to do live looping performance type of stuff. But I know of a work around that might work. Also there is firmware update that I hear may be coming soon and could possibly have some improvements on the looper bit I can't say that with any certainty at all.
In the sample edit there is a tempo attributed to your sample that is auto detected. It can be accurate usually but I mostly rely on tap tempo to dial in my sequence tempo to fit my sample loops/chops.

Sorry, I would say it's not possible with one shots. Note on must be selected and pad has to be pressed continually. Maybe look into clip mode. I couldn't tell you much about it. I never use clips.

I have a sample I'm using at 4 bars. But when it gets to the last bar it's like there is a pause in it before it loops. Is there something in one of the programs I can change that to where it is continuous?
Yea definitely ive heard this complaint a few times! Maybe clip programs but I've never got into them to say much about them. The only MPC I've used that can kind of do this is the MPC 500, it's still required that you set the pad to note on but the sample will loop without holding the pad if you press the shift button. Don't think this is possible with the new MPCs but ill check again when I get a chance.
