  • Most people believe the Great Wall of China was built at once, by a single person. In fact, it was built on earlier, individual foundations, over several centuries.

Why not just ask Matt Damon, he once fought and defended the wall against monsters.

Looks more like the Great Wall of Tartaria to keep the Chinese out of the land you never hear about in school......strange how that civilization has been wiped from history....or attempted.

Brendan Frasier fought mummy Jet Li because Li built it out of dead enemies and then Matt Damon defended the wall against lizard monsters.

    1. Emperor of Qin Dynasty was not the first to build the Great Wall, before him, the warrior states had border with the northern nomads had had built their own shorter walls.
Emperor Qin simply connected those walls, although it was also a hard job.
    2. The Great Wall we see today, was built in the 14th to 15th century by the 3rd emperor of Ming Dynasty.

Wrong. William Lindesay did not walk it's entire length of the Great Wall. Not even the Ming Wall, never mind the other Dynasty's Walls.

One thing people get wrong about it is that it's worth seeing...
I've seen it and most of it? It's in utter ruins and disrepair, kept so poorly that it's dangerous to even walk. China only bothers to keep the portions that are tourism hotspots looking nice. 90+% of it is falling apart.

so why dont you ask the Egyptians to re-clad the pyramid? fix up the nose of the sphinx? ask the Brits to finish the Stonehenge? how about asking the Italians to reopen the Colosseum for gladiatorial matches? historical artifacts are not some play things for people to fix up, serious considerations needs to be taken into account, on preserving the essence of these ancient wonders.
the most charming parts of the Great wall are the parts that weren't renovated. parts like Simatai and Arrow Nock is much better than Badaling.
but of course there are people in the world who would rather check their facebook status than marvel at the will ingenuity and determination of our ancestors.

Yes and No. Chinese first built the wall from barbarians' invasion but never really worked. After each invasion, barbarians found out they actually pretty like the Chinese civilization. After a little history, they would actually prefer to brand themselves Chinese as well. And Chinese had to build a new wall along the new border. So yes, All those walls were built by the Chinese to serve a single purpose. And no, they were built by the different dynasties and eras with different building techniques. Those brick ones were built during the Ming dynasty. And after few hundred years, the Manchus invaded from the Northeast border. Later became Northeast China as a part of China. The collection of these fortifications is named the Great Wall of China. Spanning a little over 20,000 km in total.

? Huh..? Why, we would fail without immigrants, there would be little food and what we would have to cost too much, they contribute more to our Economy and Tax Revenue than we do..they make up 13% of our population yet paid 30% of our Gross income, America would fail without them. Plus would would work our Restaurants, Landscaping, baby sitting and all the other jobs that mainly are done by immigrants because its easy to take advantage of them monetarily..Immigrants are Absolutely no problem at all..they are 100% Necessary, our only Enemy is in fact obviously The Republican Party, the Do Nothings of over 50 years... that rake in free money while digging us and our Counrtry in debt, and raising cost of living..they're the problem yet you believe their proven lies about immigrants..? Wake up..fact check anything Republicans say..its always a lie.
