Its a las pistol. So its not even silenced. But that comment reminded me of OTS-14 Groza with a silencer that I saw at russian military exhibition. Silencer was longer than the damn gun lmao
Tech priest would be completely out of the power scale. But I could perfectly see an skitarii added, making him very robotic and very sassy just because the tech priest on the ship is using him as a speaker.
@@lunasllenas1997 From my understanding, Skitarii doesn't make any sense to add lorewise. They're completely under the purview of the Cult Mechanicus and aren't deployed without a dictating tech priest (I could be completely wrong though). That said, theoretically, an Engiseer or some kind of apprentice tech-priest could potentially work. Given the circumstances Engiseers may be easier to source, and otherwise knicking a few apprentices who broke a few too many rules would likely result in the greater Mechanicus of the system looking the other way. I do agree that full blown mechanicus tech-priests are a no-go. Just from a lore aspect, they're too valuable to be given the roll of throw-away chaff.

Have it be an initiate that dared to take interest in xeno technology so for punishment he is sent with the rest of the team in darktide. Have him maybe have one or two servo skulls and use skitarii weaponry.

I think it would be pretty cool having a robotic/machine-cult character that alternates between being that and an straight up speaker for the sassy tech priest.
I wish the sound design was better actually. Can't hardly tell where the audio cues are supposed to be coming from. You want good audio design, play drg.
The sheer satisfaction I get from the Veteran with upgraded Volley fire and a well-built Mark Vld recon lasgun is SO RIDICULOUS. The new perk trees have reinvigorated my love for this game. It's incredible.
If you had fun with the hammer then the resources weren't wasted! The game is a lot more enjoyable than it was previously, more weapons being usable has really made it feel more like I can play the way I want and not just stuck playing the most optimal items because everything else is trash.

A couple of notes to help you improve you gameplay: 1. With very few exceptions, your primary weapon is your melee weapon. If you are not actively shooting or reloading then you should have your melee weapon out so that you can block attacks. Always favor the more defensive weapon out of the two that you have available, it will keep you alive on higher difficulties. 2. If you perform a heavy attack followed by either a light attack or a push attack then you get two wide sweeps with the eviscerator and can just repeat the pattern for better wave clear.
Hey Bricky! I think I might've encountered you if you played out of party recently! You're videos on this Game convinced me to get it and I have already sunk so much time into it. The Music, the Aesthetics and the Vibe are all worth it. Thank you for making great content and I hope you keep having fun playing!
As a Psyker main, this update has been utterly blessed by the Emperor. Its so good. I love every bit of it. Smite lightning is the best part of the Pysker update. (I can't be fucked to worry about my Guardsman or Zealot yet) My only bit of disappointment is that the Psyker doesn't scream "UNLIMITED POWAAAAAAAAAAA" when using it on enemies. The tribute almost writes itself.
Bricky, for daemonhosts, one thing I would highly suggest is the icon, as that thing will also screw with bosses, which if you have a competent team, can let them get a serious amount of damage off because the thing is stunned
I have like...bloody hell, AT LEAST 10 loadouts for each of my character (with "more loadouts" mod). There are A LOT of ways you can go about builds, even small changes to similar builds make a BIG difference here and there.
I like the new skill-trees, but now we really need a serious penance overhaul. Almost every character has broken/impossible/incorrect penances now due to the skills needed to complete them being changed. For Example: - Veteran can't progress "resupply allies" since they changed scavenger/survivalist (progress just isn't tracked at all since the update) - Psyker can't progress "Blessed by Fate" normally anymore since they removed the peril recovery from the base power (you can still progress by using the venting shriek upgrade, but some tooltips, the penance description and the class' tutorial in the prologue still tells you that the base power recovers peril even though it doesn't anymore) - Ogrin can only progress the "Big Box of Hurt" penance using the base version of the grenade box, this locks Ogrin into only using the first 10-15% of their skill tree if they want to progress the penance, since they are required to pick a grenade upgrade relatively early-on. - For Zealot I couldn't find any... yet. We seriously need an overhaul to the penances, both to fix the broken ones, and to actually fix the really bad ones (limiting the worst penances to private games isn't a "fix", it doesn't make the penance more fun, it just stops people from griefing pub lobbies by even attempting them).

Psyker now has so much variety, it's crazy watching 3 different psykers in the same match do different things, one popping crushers. One lightning a whole horde and the third sending shards to kill elites.
I'm thoroughly enjoying everything about the Zealot. I don't like the stealth perks too much, but support flamer, crit eviscerator and martyr thunderhammer all feel so fucking good to play it's crazy
Picked up the game about two weeks ago and it's pretty much all I've played since. On like day 3 I was playing with a team of randoms and after a few missions the dude puts it to max difficulty and literally all of died like 40 feet into the mission. Enemies didn't even use lube
Just wait until he gets to experience the circus that is Auric Maelstrom missions with Nurgle's Blessing, Weakened Monstrosities, Waves of Specialists / Waves of muties with lights off. Then you're really playing DT. 😁
I still think visually Darktide looks so awesome as a 40k game. I really just want a single player Shooter/RPG that looks like this in the 40k universe and I'd be a happy camper. I just sometimes don't want to deal with other people after work so I barely play Darktide. :(
I main support zealot with fire grenades (fire is OP crowd control), the remove corruption (unless grimoires or deaths, you never have to worry about how to remove corruption from anyone in the team), and immortality. I use cadian chain sword + Kantrael Mk XII to deal with snipers and shooters, thus also not needing to sprint that much. I too have the immortality thingy and martyrdom with toughness reduction, so I am pretty tough to kill
For my guardsman I built him to be a grenadier build. Get grenades frequently, so I'm just constantly tossing out bleed grenades. And I tote around the plasma cannon to deal with the tougher enemies. I'm on the same level as him though...the grayed ones on the top is so frickin' weird. Its a tiny thing...but the hell...
Bricky!! if you want to make Zealot more fun, start down the right path first until you get Blades of Faith. That changes your grenade into a fun as fuck throwing knife that is particularly good at fucking up special enemies and elites. From there branch completely back to the left until you get Fury of the Faithful and then go right on back to the left most tree to get Inexorable Judgement, a keystone that gives a 20x stack based on movement into a straight series of buffs. Its like playing Zealot in Call of Duty. Enjoy.

Been playing this non-stop since the update came out, been a lot of fun. Now they just need to fix the crafting and add some endgame content cause I'm already almost max level on all characters.
I like the rock wish they one shot flamer tho, i love big boom you get one chance to make it or break it. What i wish is that the Rumble have consistent timer rather that just randomly explode when ever.
After some twelve hours of Ogryn I finally gave Frag Bomb a shot in the Meat Grinder today, and I can confirm it is indeed E Fucking Normous. If you throw it perfectly in the middle of the ring I think it hits every enemy in the Grinder at the same time. Literally only balanced by the fact that you only carry one at a time and don't get grenade recovers like Vet does with three different perks
Im a few days late here, but what do you boys think about the Psyker Telekine Shield? I have never cockblocked Trappers, Bombers, Flamers, Gunners, and even Beasts of Nurgle as much as I when this update dropped.
That part with '"is it worth it" made me lol 29:24 As someone who loves objectively bad and lazy cashgrabs like Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Starfield my answer is also yes (for me).
Glad to hear the game is in a better spot now. Looks more enjoyable overall. Still on the fence about it personally. I still enjoy my Vermintide 2. Maybe just the fantasy aspect I prefer.
Been hedging on buying for a while now, as l4d2 has been slowly becoming boring for me after like 6 years (it was a good run), but couldn't justify the price for the content/gameplay for darktide yet, and vermintide wasn't really my style. This update was the perfect reason for me.
Hi Bricky, I have been watching your channel for a long time and your videos have always influenced me to buy certain games from Guilty Gear to Titanfall 2. I was wondering if I should get Darktide as it looks like Left 4 Dead and I think I might enjoy it. However, I haven't played any Warhammer games before and I heard these sorts of games have a steep progression. What is your opinion? Edit: I'm currently trying to get all achievements in Guilty Gear and "Messiah Will Not Come" is killing me. Bricky I don't know if you will play it but getting that achievement without cheese is a real trophy and I would love to see you try and get it.(You don't have to play if you don't want to.)
It's been a fun game, just the gameplay has been enhanced with the new skill trees. The issue I still have is the surrounding systems. Getting good loot is still AAAAAASSSSS, the rest is forum post stuff. Glad it's enjoyable and hope to see the group play more of it.
This is probably the best update for a game Ive seen in a long while. The old perk system was very bland and boring, and compared to vermintide was missing a ton of flexibility and variety in how you could play your character. Now each person has their own unique build, with their own strengths and weaknesses, and the customization and everything feels great.

I like how before you get to level 30, you see the traitor (Mara Vinci) manning the commissary, but after you reach that level, she’s a servitor.

After an entire pandemic of trying to get my dad into 40k, all I needed was this to finally stop on Xbox for him to be all in.

Glad to hear the game is in a better spot now. Looks more enjoyable overall. Still on the fence about it personally. I still enjoy my Vermintide 2. Maybe just the fantasy aspect I prefer.
Been hedging on buying for a while now, as l4d2 has been slowly becoming boring for me after like 6 years (it was a good run), but couldn't justify the price for the content/gameplay for darktide yet, and vermintide wasn't really my style. This update was the perfect reason for me.

I named my characters after One Piece characters. Ogryn is Oars. Zealot is Portgas and Veteran is Dracule

Hi Bricky, I have been watching your channel for a long time and your videos have always influenced me to buy certain games from Guilty Gear to Titanfall 2. I was wondering if I should get Darktide as it looks like Left 4 Dead and I think I might enjoy it. However, I haven't played any Warhammer games before and I heard these sorts of games have a steep progression. What is your opinion?
Edit: I'm currently trying to get all achievements in Guilty Gear and "Messiah Will Not Come" is killing me. Bricky I don't know if you will play it but getting that achievement without cheese is a real trophy and I would love to see you try and get it.(You don't have to play if you don't want to.)

It's been a fun game, just the gameplay has been enhanced with the new skill trees. The issue I still have is the surrounding systems. Getting good loot is still AAAAAASSSSS, the rest is forum post stuff. Glad it's enjoyable and hope to see the group play more of it.

This is probably the best update for a game Ive seen in a long while. The old perk system was very bland and boring, and compared to vermintide was missing a ton of flexibility and variety in how you could play your character. Now each person has their own unique build, with their own strengths and weaknesses, and the customization and everything feels great.
