Warhammer is my favorite sci Fi universe. 10/10 recommend learning about it and playing the games in it's umbrella. A lot of them are garbage but there are some gems. For RTS fans there's Dawn of war: soul storm ultimate apocalypse mod, pretty much all the dawn's of war. For fps fans there space marine, fire warrior, darktide, vermintide. 36:20 lmfaooooooo

There is about 500 books. If we don't include the actual tabletop game material (Codexes, the main rulebook, etc) As for "no equal" it certainly does. 40K casts a wide net but there are universes equally if not more detailed; such as BattleTech.

You've just gotta take your time and make sure you teach them how to shoot one the way you would teach a five year old. Do it right, and you have some of the best bodyguards you could ask for, and in more than a few situations, the best FRIENDS too.

I feel like this game will reveal to be an absolute blessing for the 40k community. Sure, we already had dawn of war as a great game for rts fans and mechanicus as a fantastic game for tactics fans, as well as other neat games like battlefleet gothic armada or gladius or others like that but those games were mostly just great for people already deep into it, whereas darktide is the perfect introduction to 40k for normies, especially given how streamable it is.

Id recommend looking to Vermintide 2, Darktide is good gameplay wise but at the moment content is dry and would would wait for them to add more to the game later.

Ye it's great for headshotting bosses, or 1 shotting mini bosses, there's a perk that makes it explode when hitting armoured enemies
