Hilbilly is just a great guy. Takes all yalls crap and is never afraid of hard work or getting dirty. What an amazing friend to have.
Hillbilly is awesome however it's a two way street Robby treats him well as an employer. And really the channel is the 3 of them with Hillbilly enjoying the benifets of being a YT personality ..... as he should!
Hillbilly is a thankless dude. He works so hard for his team. Hope Robby appreciates!
Hillbilly reminds me so much of my closest friend, Out everybody I’ve ever known. We grew up together here in Northwest Montana. In YAAK MONTANA.
We went to school together, starting in the first grade. Then we went to Montana Tech together. After I got married, he wound up marrying One of my wife’s best friends.
He’s also worked for my families sizable logging / sawmill company, over in Troy Montana. He is my family’s fleet manager over all the logging trucks. All 72 of them.
And we treat him very very well and he’s always treated me, The same way, I treat him. Outstanding!! Over the years my wife has said we should’ve got married! Lol 😆
And so has his wife, said the same thing because we Pal around together so much. Lol 😂 lol 😆…
Hillbilly is a get-r-done type of guy. He's tough as a Marine and good natured. I really respect him. I'm having a lot of questions as to why the case cans aren't in the car there. I've done a lot of these types of trips when I was in the Navy. Old junkers crossing the USA. I don't miss this stuff any more
Sleep deprived Demori is even more adorable!
She is a Saint!
Adorable is an insult! BEYOND adorable. Goddess maybe?
She really is.
Sexy as hell
Watch how you talk about Robbie's wife before he sends Hillbilly to find you lol
Seems you have more in common with Matt than we ever thought.
LOL, frickin Demri the kid is always smiling! Glad to see her warm up to the camera so that we get to see and hear more from her. She balances out Robby and Hillbilly perfectly and we are left with "Three Amigos". 😊
Matt would be so proud of your efforts! I don't think even Matt has run out of gas THAT many times in one video!
I just don't know why they don't put extra fuel in their trunk. It would save a lot of pushing. LOL
@@Marty54GMC Ohhh! The simple fix! Too straight to the point. No playing "where's Bud?" Or maybe putting a can of gas in the trunk of that rust bucket would be like holding it in your lap, as in too many fumes. Just guessing really!
@@Marty54GMC That's what I,along with Everyone else have been wondering.A simple 2 gallon can, that seals, would keep them rolling another 20 miles.
I always bring a jerry can on trips. No leaks or smell
Lucky chap , your lady has a pretty face and an amusing character. As I have said to yo previously. But now you have a 55 or 6 or 7 and I'd probably forget to be sure she was seated before driving on if I were you 😅 . Mind you I am a bit forgetful in my old age.
Demri has the best attitude. And why arent you guys carrying the spare gas can in the trunk of the '57?
The smell I would guess, plus who doesn't like seeing bud
@@willmeldrum4583I dunno man that car seems to have plenty of ventilation lol
@@zyeborm I hope you're right about the ventilation. I feel bad for Demri after those ol' boys ate them eggs!
Roadtrip in a car without A/C: Reminds me of when I was eight years old (born in 1950). Both parents and four kids, all crammed into a 1958 Chevrolet Del Ray station wagon towing a 16' travel trailer. Two weeks of pure hell, and we all loved it.
At least the car was new . . .
Ah great memories 😊
After I graduated high school back in 1972, I took a trip down deep into Baja California for 2 weeks. I had a 1968 VW bug, two other guys, a German Shepard and everything all three of us owned in the world, packed in that car! It was a crazy hot trip, but what an adventure!
On the bright side, cars designed without a/c actually had better outside air venting systems. Vents down by your feet, in particular.
Yep. Those were the days! And when mom complained too much about the heat, dad would stop and get a block of ice for her floorboard. Memories will last forever!
The Boss needs her own channel
She is funny as hell🎉😂❤
This is a killer video... Y'all are having to much fun. I think y'all should do more road trip builds and start from other parts of the country!
After eating all those pickled eggs that car probably didn’t smell like roses…💩 💨 Poor Demri…
No fuel gauge, No A/C, and no windshield wipers. Sounds like fun.
Demri, you made this video! I love your always positive, upbeat attitude and ability to find humor in ever situation. Plus, your laugh is adorable, as are you. Robby’s a blessed guy having you as his “boss”.
The old '57 Chevy looks SO GOOD when the hood is popped...like a Transformer car starting to change into a modern silver robot or something. What a drivetrain she has, it's something now but it could be upgraded a little bit more. ;)
Here's a crazy idea... keep the spare gas can in the Chevy's trunk, not in the other vehicle..
Naw - that's 'radical' talk, man - where'dya git such ideas from? 🤣lol
The incredible journey continues!! Bravo 👏 Robbie, HillBilly and The Boss ✌️🩵🩶❤️
Hillblly's yawn at the end was hilarious. Then he looked back at the camera... Haha.. Too funny.. What a cool adventure :D
Y’all had such good attitudes with the gas situation. I would have been having a total meltdown.
I couldn’t imagine a road trip having to stop every 120 for fuel but it’s good that you occasionally see your support Bud
I made a trip from San Jose CA back to Oregon in a 77 F100 and 400ci hot engine. Got bad gas south of the climb at Shasta. Had a terrible and worrisome climb up the grade. Got good gas in Weed and things improved. Got name brand in Roseburg and the truck just flew....
You obviously have never driven a motorcycle. 😂😂Two hours, and your butt needs a break. If its hot like they had, you find a gas station with a beer cave, and sit in there for a bit.
Demri was hilarious in this video, especially when she was sleep deprived lol. Also I love how she’s always so upbeat and laughing and never complains or gets too upset with all the shenanigans y’all always get into 😂
Livin tha dream. You guys are so lucky.
The way that light played on Demri's face when ya'll were pushing the car made her even more lovely. I might be in Love.
This makes me want to go on a road trip. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment. 😂
Demri is amazing. She tolerates all the nuttiness and keeps on giggling. Demri, we love you!
Reminds me of the time back in 1963 when my girlfriends mom sent her to stay with her aunt in Marfa, Texas for the summer. I was 19 and in LOVE so my friend, Ed, and I drove my '57 Bel Air Sport Coupe from El Segundo, Ca. to Marfa to see her. We were able to stay for 1/2 hr. before her aunt made us leave and go back home. No a/c, somewhere around 2000, miles for 1/2 hr. What a trip. This has been really fun to watch you guys. Love your content. Keep up the good work.
So, did Hillbilly find out about chiggers after wading through that tall grass looking for the spare tire? Yikes, we stay out of tall weeds during the summer in the midwest. Great show, keep up the good work on your channel.
What a grrreeAATT wee adventure that was☆👍🎉🤯!!!! Ty ty ty for taking us with you on it❤💖🎆👍👊.. From the runnin out of gas, to where's "bud" 🤭lol And the play by play action was [ un-beatable ] and kept me in suspense!!!😮 Ty Robby, HillBilly, & Mrs. Boss [ your filming was "supercalafragalistic"😎 to say the least & really good at catchin the details t👀].. thank y'all for taking some of your precious time⏳ and sharing it with us. It's the lil things that mean the most sometimes... ya know... srry 4 tha ramble... thx for the share.
☕🐢
Demri is such a trooper! And had such a cute little voice, count your blessings Robby, thanks for another entertaining video
This series is awesome. Making so many memories. Safe travels and see ya on the next one
Y’all are so crazy I would probably be doing crazy stuff like that when I was young like y’all!!!😂😂😂😂
Demori is just adorable.
A decision was made and it was one of the best for a channel that has already been huge....... Demri is so awesome in front of the camera these days always smiling and laughing (giggling) is the best always positive and rational, the road trips are like a fun factory and true adventure, my hourglass of life has reached 70 so if this awesome 57 comes up as a give away I'll just have to spend every dime I have on T-shirts, Hats, Patches, Stickers for the chance to revert to my childhood of hotrod heaven, if TH-cam had an awards show Robby Layton Nation would win the most hands down!!!!!!✌
This reminds me of our summer vacations in 1950s. Anaheim to n. Illinois. Windows down 55 mph in 1950 Mercury canvas water bag hanging on the grill 6 kids and our Mother....hwy 66 .......2 days one way, 2days back....10 days visiting relatives.....Dad would take a week off, fly to Chi Town.....stay 5 days fly back to LA so he only missed one week.....several summers in a row we made that trip. Those were the days my friend.....from old guy withblk silverado, broken door lock and loosepanel, Robby!
What an adventure... to say the least 😂... and I am not going to ask the obvious questions... no need... 😊 Looking forward for the next post of the continued saga... 😎👍keep 'em coming...
Driven down that stretch of I-70 a few times myself. I live in Florida now. Not a chance I’d drive during the day without AC down here. Also, you can get Hilbilly in the car going over the skyway bridge over Tampa Bay. Keep it under a hundred!
No matter what happens it's all part of the adventure. Thanks for letting us ride along, Robby.
Did you tell us why you couldn't carry your own spare gas can? I missed that.
Good morning you can tell that the boss is having a good time on this trip. I do think you should let her keep track of the gas mileage for sure.
That smile of hers it is impossible to be in a bad mood around her.
Nothing like driving a brand new old hot rod across the country. The adventures experienced are fun and scary at the same time.
Entertainment at it's finest!
Thank you all for a GREAT Channel.
Maybe this should be like ,a road trip test between, robby ,mat ,and lab rats, etc where they have rebuilt a older car ,truck ,and drive across a few states and have so much time to rebuild ,and they get different points along the way, for getting back home safely. With certain amount time time ,and extra points can be they stoping at some cool place ,that many would enjoy seeing ,that views theres chanels .with people give suggestions to visit. Maybe promoting, restaurants, business, or something like that.😊
Like a relay race with hurdles, except with a car. Great idea!
After living in Colorado for 20 years we moved to Kentucky (hour south of Louisville). I would take 110 degrees in Colorado any day than 90 in Kentucky with high humidity. Worst part about living in this part of US is muggy summer weather!
try Houston sometime, you will enjoy it.
That new drive train is rocking it .Maybe should of put a huge fuel cell in the trunk. My credit card co would have shut down my card for so many transactions in a day , thinking the card was stolen and gassing up the whole gang.
This is a prime example of what a true 'Road Trip' truly is. Glad everyone has a positive outlook on this. Thanks for sharing.
Ya Robbie, running out of fuel that many times, has me thinking 🤔 you've been hanging out with Matt to much... next thing you know you'll be picking up things you just welded saying "WOW, that's hot" 🤣👍
All kidding aside... this was one of my favorite episodes 🤠👍
Demrie...(sorry if I spelled it wrong) you know that you get to pick on him for this for awhile so have fun with it, might even let the kiddos join in too ...be riding down the road and one of the kiddos ask him out of the blue "daddy I think we should stop for gas" 😂👍
The entertainment level of this episode is off the charts. 🎉
thanks for another great video 📹 👍 😀 you guys have great support for each other and thank you for bringing us along and hopefully you are making headway...even if a couple minor stops ✋️ along the way keep making great videos 📹 😀 😊 👍 thank you 😊
I love that Demori is just cool about it all haha. What a great wife
I discovered this channel while in Rehabilitation after my back surgery. Thanks for keeping me entertained. Keep up the great work.
You three know how to make it fun even in adversity. I think I smiled the whole video. You are the best!
Yalls luck with the 57 is about like Matt's trip in the corvair wagon great video and keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
Love it! My family and I cross those bridges all the time! My family is in Kentucky and I live in Indiana now with my wife and kids. We try to go and spend time with my family, so my kids can see my parents!
😂😂😂. Wow. Crazy. Can't wait to see more videos soon
Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
In Alaska at the intersection of the Seward Hwy and the Sterling Hwy, the spare tire cable broke on my sister's Dodge truck. I was behind her and watched the tire disappear into the woods.
NO PROBLEM !
Spent an hour and never found it!
But I did find over fifty other tires. After that we called that jct "Spare Tire Junction".
🙄
Love how nobody gets angry when troubles come around. Running out of gas can be so aggravating but you all only laugh and smile! That's awesome!!!😅
What an interesting road trip. Ya got to love the '57 Chevy, even with the rust !
Robby ! I'm thinking that you may have surpassed Matt's fuel management skills.
just saying.....
I don't get it, a guy who can build a super hot car, but can't put in a working fuel gauge? It's like someone who can build a super sleek yacht, but puts old worn out bed sheets for a sail.???
@@Arzman6011 Whats wrong with wornout bedsheets?
Bud running treadwright recap tires is so on par 😂
I really like the ride hieght and stance you got on the ole girl. Hope you tackle the rust repair fairly soon a lot of projects struggling to hit the finish line on many YT channels. Sucks .....😢
Just think...you'll be talking about this trip for years and years!
Y'all will have one hack of story to tell you family and kids just think when y'all are in your 60s or 70s look back and smile and laugh thanks Robbie for all that you do 😂
I enjoy all your crew and love the ‘57. You have to restore it, that’s what a body shop does! Make it look better than original!
Hardly ever see bud without the unstoppable Ranger
Yeah, I thought I was having another Senior Moment. 😀 Bud shows up on Diesel Bros videos too, right? Has he permanently moved to Robby’s channel?
This is a great series I grew up in ne Ohio. robby drove past my old apartment building in KY and is in Indiana, where I live now btw Santa clause in has one the best amusement parks in the world certainly the cleanest
I've heard of some people who actually keep a gas can IN the car that keeps running out of gas. Radical!
What an epic adventure!
Hats off to Bud for being the saving grace
Good Job , Thank You
Love this road trip..love following you guys
One of your best videos ever!!! Really enjoyed this one. Thanks!!
Ooh, the memories! You should make scrapbooks and publish them on all your cross-country road trips! They could be mini best sellers! Til next time, take care, and we'll see you on the next...
Awesome video, awesome trip. You guys crack me up! 😊😅😂
For the Boss’s sake, I’m glad your rolling with windows down. Picked eggs in closed spaces is not advised.
Awesome guys, I really love seeing more of the Boss, she's so funny..
Awesome video and cool trip.
That was a fun video. Loved it.
Great trip guys, thanks for showing us the countryside!!!that rain looked Nice 👍🙂🙂👍, the rust bucket came through, never a doubt, and thank you summit racing for all you guys did!!! That motor is bulletproof, and sound's like Utah!!! Can't wait for next one for sure.
Awesome video guys!
What an amazing adventure! Oh to be young and full of life. these videos will be forever around to look back on. your Great Great grand children will have so much fun watching these.. Much love to you all.
You guys are having way too much fun. I’m glad I’m only watching the fun, I couldn’t handle that much excitement 😊😊
Great series! I was lagging behind in my viewing of your work until last night. I watched all of the remaining of the series starting last night, 4-1/2 videos. Really good videoS! Thank you all. Hey, next time you're in a Casey's grab a pie, a Pizza Pie....Casey's makes a pretty decent pie (coming from an Italian) ! I really like their pizza! Again, thanks for the effort!
Very entertaining Robby. Kudos to the boss for putting up with all the challenges of driving a partially rebuild classic car across the country.
hahahahah good times; and lots of laughs - going with the flow... the best way to be.. Love it Finding Bud - a good guy helping. awesome.
that rain is typical for everywhere but in the desert lol
Lovely man :D So funnu to watch!
God Bless you all for doing a road trip like this one. I’ve done a lot of traveling when I was in my younger days, very similar.😳👍♥️
Robby and Justin always looking for the best thing when things go to crap.
I wish I could be better about that.
Robby has anyone said to you. You make as excellent educator. The way explained everything in realtime. Happy trails
I forgot you only have a two door model Belaire. Reminds me of the Chevy Impala my dad bought back in the late 1960s. That was always fun to go to church in. Outside of a few trucks I have owned through the years I can't remember owning a two-door motor vehicle.
Robbie you make Matt proud
Road trip warriors... Hell yes!!!
I believe this 57 run out of gas road and finding Bud trip had me laughing so hard! Love you!!
Im 5 hours north of st louis lol. Thats awesome though. Im always up to help if yall are ever coming through again.
I’d love to see you restore the 57 Chevy Robbie, inside and one of your beautiful shiny paint jobs! We had a 57 when I was 7 years old and it was that turquoise color with a white top! I think yours would look awesome like that! I bet you could find the exact original color my friend, I love watching you paint and especially when you clear coat the final coat! But that’s only if you’re asking for opinions on the 57 Chevy! Thanks for sharing and I’m praying for y’all, please stay safe and have a great trip home! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
same car me and my dad was going to build before he passed. nice to see it being restored
You know you're in the heartland when you see Caseys.
too much fun... been there...done that...thanks
Bud was the unsung hero of this trip for sure lol that man deserves a raise or a bonus or sumthin for this
A great journey, a great video, and a great friend you have in Hillbilly, of course you already know that, I feel for Demri though when those pickled eggs get through. And by the by you should pop them in a packet of salt a vinegar crisps if you can get them out there, they are a favourite bar snack here in the U.K. You and your friends and family are great you are so lucky, I wish,,, but never mind, you have fun and take us along as always.
I remember those days. 2 door 67 Plymouth Fury III, windows down, letting the big block breathe on the highway.
Those Belairs didn't have floor vents?
I went through St Louis in 2006, was on the I64 south of the arch. Had breakfast at a Waffle House
Hillbilly should have bought a Styrofoam ice chest and kept a bag of ice in the back seat to help keep cool. I used to keep one in the front seat of my car during the summer and at 55 with the windows down, there was a nice cool breeze.
Haha great video!!! Thoroughly enjoyed it!!
Yes, this was fun! I appreciated it
