The lighter weight translates to better performance and range. While the initial cost is higher, the long-term benefits in efficiency and maintenance can offset this. Modern carbon fibre repair techniques have also advanced considerably.

Its collapsible - it will damage solar cells. They did not figure how to do it.
Can be made of aluminum for ease of repair and cheaper ?
