    Can I just use a 3.5mm to usb adapter and plug it right into my Canon m50? Just like I would use the lightening to USB Adapter to plug it right into my iPhone?

    I use a dummy battery too… I plug it into a extension cord that is then plugged into the wall and the white noise/humming/hissing is terrible especially right before the talking begins… I don't know what else to do… any suggestions? You said you will be making video soon about the dummy battery issue… what is that link?

    Question, how did you connect your headphone? To the Blue Yeti? Or the Canon Camera? Both my camera and Blue Yeti have only one 3.5mm jack that I use to connect to the camera to the microphone. Which headphone would work best in this case? A USB one? Thanks!

  • @BeautyBeatdown

    I got the Nano microphone a while ago, but never really looked up how to use it. I just plugged it into my m50 (and into a power source instead of my computer) and tried to go to town, lol...And of course was wondering why the audio was bad. I'm going to try this out now! I'm assuming it will be a similar set up at least.

    How to connect while live streaming?? In OBS or Something else Software??

    • @HustleSavvy
      @HustleSavvy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For live streaming you should connect your camera and mic separately to your software (e.g. OBS) instead of connecting mic to camera.

      With capture card also??
      And connecting to the software the Audio and video match??

      @@akulmistry yeah either capture card or EOS Webcam Utility will work. Check out my other video for a comparison between these 2 methods

    Thanks for the video. I have tried to connect my blue yeti with canon m50 for long time but haven’t succeeded yet. I connected them with 3.5 mm cable, set sound recording as manual but it didn’t work. What should I do?Thank you

    • @HustleSavvy
      @HustleSavvy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hard to troubleshoot as I can't see your setup. What do you mean it didn't work?
      1) When speaking to the mic, did you notice the audio levels going from left to right on Canon M50 or none at all?
      2) Did you try changing the Blue Yeti settings itself? Adjusting the volume and sound pattern can change things.
      3) Try bumping the audio level in Canon M50 higher and turn on Attenuator.
      4) Lastly, it could be that your 3.5mm cable is faulty.

    • @MaiODonnell
      @MaiODonnell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HustleSavvy Thank you very much for getting back to me. I have tried everything you mentioned to set it up but the audio level is not moving when I plug the audio cable in. I have just changed 2 brand new 3.5 mm audio cables but still doesnt work. Perhaps my Canon M50 microphone jack is faulty? My canon M50 is a brand new one I bought 1 year ago but rarely used.

    • @HustleSavvy
      @HustleSavvy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MaiODonnell yeah the camera mic input might be faulty.
      Few more things came to my mind:
      1) Did you connect Blue Yeti to a USB slot on computer? It won't work if you connect to power socket.
      2) Did you use video mode on Canon M50? I don't think audio input would work in other modes.

    • @MaiODonnell
      @MaiODonnell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HustleSavvy Yes, I did connect Blue Yeti to my laptop and also used video mode on Canon M50. I have checked my 3.5mm audio cable is TRS as well. I also tried Boya mic with Canon M50 but it didn't work either. So perhaps I will need to record audio and video separately which is not convenient at all. Thank you very much for giving me your advices.

      @@MaiODonnell have you tried using OBS?

  • @AllisonMozingo
    @AllisonMozingo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used OBS to record videos and have my Canon M50 and Blue Yeti connected to my computer. I've noticed that there's sometimes a lag between my lips moving and the audio. Would this been fixed by connecting my Blue Yeti to my camera or by using a HDMI capture card?

    • @HustleSavvy
      @HustleSavvy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This might be because of computer not being able to process the video fast enough. Try lowering the settings on OBS. Connecting the Blue Yeti to Camera might not solve it.
