    The sea peoples were most likely a confederation of different peoples because Ramses commemorated his victory against the seas people and he lists the different tribes.

      I believe that we know of six different people groups, from Sardinia to Asia Minor...and, those are just the groups named by the Egyptians. It is also widely thought that many of these groups participated in the Trojan War, either for plunder or as mercenaries, including the Jewish tribe of Dan, which is likely where the name Danaan Greeks comes from: (Danaoi). But, many others believe that the Danaans came decades after the Trojan War.

    • @zlatni_orao

      Rumi Davinci DNA testing on him as well as Akhenaton, Toutankhamon and Hatchepsout. Also, the ginger hair is common amongst black people even to this day. A similar narrative was also put forward for Hatchepsout (ginger hair ergo...). I actually saw the evidentiary documentary here on the History channel.

      @Rumi Davinci as previously mentioned, I have seen the documentary on the HISTORY TH-cam channel. now I could not fathom for the life of me why they would like about this, especially because the narrative has always been the opposite. I was flabbergasted at this, which is why this info stuck in my head.

    • @jackoenyegue
      @jackoenyegue 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Rumi Davinci as far as the ginger straight hair part is concerned (apologies for the 2nd message), I also happen to have learned that the African gene pool is the largest of all types. which is why there are black people with blue/green/brown/honey eyes... blond/brown/ginger/black straight/curly hair and also why 2 black people have a white/blond hair/blue eyed child. granted, the probabibility of that is literally 1 in 1000 but it is 1. I have never heard of any of us white people having a black or brown child naturally.

    • @mch7933
      @mch7933 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Rumi Davinci there is nothing like "sub saharan" outside geography, this term does not apply and should not be used to refer to the actual people. because their historical and current spread is beyond "Sub saharan africa"

    • @mch7933
      @mch7933 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ϥⲣⲁⲟⲛ As far as you are of no significant non-african ancestry, you are "black" by the understanding of what black/african is.
      Most Egyptian Pharoahs were native africans (Ramses III's lineage for example) with their lineages going back to Pre-dynastic Upper egypt which had a dominant black population...while the lower egypt was occupied by a large number of levantine descendants. Egypt was a mix. The DNA analysis, Egyptian depictions and just common sense geographic proximity denotes this

    Who are the direct descendants of the pharaohs? I read an article about how Egyptian government have been hesitant to allow geneticists to test remains from ancient Egypt, out of fear that it would cause others to question whether they are the “true” Egyptians

    • @cloudy4621
      @cloudy4621 4 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Stop spreading rumors, it is very clear that Modern Egyptians are descendants of ancient ones, it is not their fault that you are not proud of your history.
      And many Egyptians have done DNA tests, more than 50℅ of their DNA indicates they are related to the ancient ones.
      The only thing that changed is the religion and culture, just like what happened with the Rome and Greeks.
      Arabs are descended from the ancient Egyptian due to their ancestor being Hagar( mother of prophet Ismail 'peace be upon him' and Ismail happens to be the ancestor of Arabs)
      The Nubia was a kingdom alone before it got conquered by the Egyptians and became a part of Egypt.

    • @cloudy4621
      @cloudy4621 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @Matthew why do you act like the Arabs are horrible people? The ancient Egyptian language died before the Muslim conquest, all thanks to the roman empire.
      Why don't you blame the Greeks or Romans, why always the Arabs?
      Thanks to the Muslim conquest Egypt got saved from brutal Roman rule.
      Go educate yourself more about history before spitting out your racism that the media feeds you here.

      @Matthew Egypt was a Christian majority till the 14th century AD! Arabs did not have the numbers to replace anyone, let alone displace one of the most populated countries of the ancient world! Islam is a religion, not a race. Modern Egyptians are phenotypically distict from gulf Arabs.
      Speaking a language now does not say anyting about your genetic origin. Language change over time as a matter of convience for goverments.
      Orthodox Coptic Christians never converted to Islam. They don't inter-marry with other christians/jews/muslims, they are the closeset you can get to undiluted Ancient Egyptian genetics, yet, they are phenotypically idetical to other muslim Egyptian.

      That's inaccurate. Coptic Egyptian (the direct linguistic descendant of ancient Egyptian) was spoken by the indigenous Egyptian population till at least the late modern era.
      Christian Coptic Egyptians, as well as Muslim Egyptians spoke the Coptic language as recently as the 19th century AD. Coptic Egyptian is still heard in every Coptic Church till this day as a liturgical language. 👍
