Wow that was an incredible game, amazing macro from both players during early-mid game and then once the all out war broke out that got very APM taxing for QiaoGege leading to the gas mining issue I think. Also feel like some of those early engagements he did not get the best storms off on the tanks, that one clump got to all red/yellow hp tanks but didnt quite finish it off. Great game and great cast arty!
Thanks for the BW casts! I love the longer series matches - watching how the pros adapt to their opponents playstyle/maps, and seeing trends in their play is super cool to me!
Hey Arty. If you're reading this, i love all the Broodwar content you make! I'll also say i really love when you cast games like this one between great players that aren't quite ASL caliber. (whether they're Korea V China or the lower level ASL casts you've been doing, or the NA series) I feel like it gives me more opportunities to learn because the games are less perfect and that gives you more things to talk about. hey ! look last I played was with dial-up so i'm dating myself, but with toss, IMHO shield should be first upgrade,like AS SOON as you get that first 200 gas. then whatever, but in early game, that regen rate with that upgrade, matches or beats zerg heal rate. artosis has the numbers on that, but i remember it serving me well. You've mentioned that Mihu plays a really unique style, I would love to see some casts of Mihu games! Especially considering he's one of the strongest non-Korean players
I love the early game explained in detail, the little differences and the nuances of build orders based on spawn and map fascinates me as a 5 pooler because I shut most of it down with no effort.
Its crazy how everything is BW is op, yet its balanced. Thats the beauty of the game. I mean, terran army vaporize protoss. But protoss can have 7 bases while terran is on 3-4, have infinite gateways, rebuild army instantly, have total map control until terran is ready to go out, have more tech earlier, etc
I'm sure Arty won't see this but as a new brood war player I really would trust him to give me a deep dive into the basics of mechanics. I can't find anywhere online how to split SCVs to mine at the start. Or an 8 racks versus a CC first open. Arty set up that patreon, I'll subscribe. Arty's YT SC academy..... but never academy first.

This is very strong player but terran is just better at unit control. This chinese guy is no doubt very good but its just not good enough vs this Bishop guy.
QGG got chances, but he didn't let probes mining in the bottom bases and didn't make getway over there as well. Due to those factors, his bank dropped quickly and his army is stuck in his main.
He lost as soon as he wdecided to fight instead of recall.... Like 20 zealots died for 1 tank 4 vultures. What a stupid fight. Arb died before casting stasis but he just yoloed it

Take all the map if you want but if you leave Terran with 3 bases for 20mins, you are going to have a bad time.

Qiaogege is a great player but these games have shown that he's mechanically weaker than Bishop, which really manifests in the lategame imo

Artosis is much better commentator than he is player, so there is a solid gap between what he *knows* is best, and what he can actually do :)
Its a RTS game, so much things you can do… in general 5x2 exp, who have 5 problely Will Win but is not 100 for sure…

Yeah, that's a very strange behavior. He must have really been focusing on that part of the screen to see that flash by for like 50 ms.
