Hi everyone, who struggles with achieving this centred pivot?

Giles- Very good instruction. The analogy I use is like one is pulling the cord to start a mower with the right hand on the backswing, and the left on the downswing. We always keep our weight centered and turn our hips and shoulders back and up on both, otherwise we would fall over..

That’s a great analogy for a centred pivot!

Exceptional. You covered what other coaches would string out for hours into 10 mins. Chapeau.

    Another Great video Coach!!
I have been following your direction for the last few months and it has helped me out greatly. I am too the point that i have stopped watching most other channels as sometimes it just causes confusion with diffent ways the approach teaching.
I have been struggling with how to complete my swing. Do you have any videos on how to come to a full finish? Or does it make a difference if i only stop at arms stopping chest high?
Again thank you for your time and what you have already done for my game.
I am looking forward for your upcoming videos!!!
    Cheers!!!

I do have some follow through videos, they were made a while ago so you’ll need to scroll back to find them

    Great video thank-you Giles!
I admit that I still get confused between transferring my weight between trail and lead side so maybe stack and tilt might be a better approach for my swing. I do notice that I turn without a sway but I do not see the golf ball space that should appear on my trail side…
Also, I will look at my backswing to ensure that I am getting enough extension I feel that my position might sometimes be chest/head down which likely is the cause of inconsistent contact!
These points will help me to make improvements!

Could be a case that you are reverse pivoting. Do the ball against the wall drill

Wow giles first ti.e i have heard in a video about thoracic exstention... i had a lesson and the local pro tried to introduce it but i stopped as it felt weird l... it feel with thoracic exstention that i am lifting and sometimes my left heel comes off the ground but when i hit it.. its like a rocket going off... is the feel if lifting correct?... should i stick with it.... i am a upper body swinger...

Everyone feels it differently but make sure the pelvis moves correctly as you do it

Joe, should the backswing start with the left shoulder? (Right-handed )

Who’s Joe 😂 No one movement technically starts the backswing. Everyone feels it differently

Not a fan of stack and tilt Giles , even Aaron Baddeley has dumped it , or it dumped him

Did I teach it? No. I simply gave the option. Many golfers like it & that’s okay
