Again, you've not only hit the nail on the head, you smashed it into smithereens!! I love that simple thought of a backhanded slap with the left arm and hand. As you well know, so much of the flip and chickenwing are caused by slowing down in the downswing. From there, the club is unconsciously flipped by the player. This first drill is my favorite because it causes ACCELERATION in the downswing. "Lighting the match" as the great Gary Player refers to it. Again, options are the key to your game. Allowing the player to find what best suits them. There is no "cookie cutter" approach in your coaching. The more workable drills you present, the more you can be "all things to all people." KEEP SENDING MORE.
Excellent explanation and demonstration Giles on how to make a proper release of the club in the downswing! One thing that I always try to do is to rotate the left forearm
Excellent job Giles on thoroughly explaining how to release the club in the downswing! I really like your reverse hand drill to emphasize the proper hand position at impact. I also try to rotate the forearms as you illustrated in this video! I'm still puzzled as to whether I'm a arm or body release golfer. :-) Always learning and validating through your videos Giles! Keep up the good work!!!
This makes perfect sense when the clubface is slightly open at P6 as yours is. How should the release pattern look when the clubface is slightly closed at P6 as might be used with driver and long irons?
❤️❤️❤️⛳️⛳️ I literally believe the one armed drills in this video, if performed correctly with repetition and correct body tilt will transform your game and definitely your ball striking. You have to give it time and repeat daily! This will help you.. Thanks sir. Always consistent quality videos sir
Hi everyone, the last drill works like absolute magic! Give it a go and let me know how it goes
YT magic right here. It’s literally what I’m working on right now!
Thank you!
The best lesson to fix chicken swing and how to release the club face. Thanks so much for lessons.
No problem! Glad you enjoyed it

Is your clubface toe up or face down to the ground at shaft parallel in the downswing?
I believe my clubface is in a toe up or semi-closed position at this parallel position!@@Gilesgillgolf
Great drill, I like the thought of pre-setting the release and swinging from that point
Such a simple but affective way of training the new move
Great video as always
Thank you

My normal swing it’s closed, which is a body release

Amazing!
