Another gold nugget from Eric - just the best teacher of whatever he wants to convey - has good pace and shows patience where he needs it and explains the nuances that really make the drill super effective
Appreciate your kind words and support, Larry! Thank you!

Fantastic detail, very easy to follow. Everything is explained very well and watch all the videos he has. Result you will get eventually will be a fantastic timed swing. Remember don’t just watch once, learn and make sure you understand.
👊Thank you Jim!
I love the way you explain things, and then show them visually piece by piece. These are the things I've been working on, and having you talk about what to "feel" and exaggerate while training is great. Thank you!
Appreciate that Doug!
Eric one of the best golf teacher on the net, always clear detailed and easy to understand info to apply to our golf games.
👊Appreciate the kind words and support!
My swing thought is to ignore the loft of the club in my hands, and just try to hit the ball FORWARD, with power. Never try to hit down AT the ball. This causes rotation to stall, and divots that are too deep. And never try to help the ball into the air. This causes you to be leaned back on your right side, hips slid forward, with a flippy release, which makes consistent strike almost impossible. Another good thought is to imagine that you’re wanting to sling the club through 3 pieces of drywall with power(drywall 10 feet in front of you towards the target). Your intentions will automatically be focused forward. You’ll naturally turn your hips. Your right shoulder will go down, under, and through. And you’ll have full extension of the arms, and shaft past the hitting zone. Your body will move better than you think, if the “task at hand” is correct.
I love everything you said here.
@@winstonsmith11 Thanks man. It’s just how I picture the golf swing. Hope someone out there can relate.
thank you for this
sounds good !!
I went to the Stack and Tilt clinic with Andy. It was awesome to work with him one on one. This was the biggest takeaway he had for me. This is all he wanted me to work on.
Love it!
Great lesson thanks Eric, so well explained and it makes so much sense. It certainly has solved a massive consistency issue I had. Thank you
Thanks Bert! Our pleasure!
Love working on turning the right shoulder thru the ball. Also helps my chipping tremendously
Love it Steve!
Eric, this video was a blast from the past! What do I mean! I attended a PGA section teaching
event several years ago, hosted by Jim Hardy. He said virtually the same thing you covered
in this video. When I applied Jims "right shoulder moves towards the ball", first thing in the
forward swing my ball striking greatly improved. Sadly I started sh*****g the ball and stopped
incorporating this movement. I watched your video last night, and tried this initial forward
swing motion again today. Great ball striking session for me today 🙂! Thanks for bringing
this movement back to my swing motion!
👊Love to hear this one helped! Appreciate you watching the channel!
@@CogornoGolf Eric, thanks for replying! I'm surprised with all the comments you get on your vide, you returned my email. Your drill helps me with my main problem in the forward swing, my
right shoulder goes down, but not forward enough. The club gets stuck too far behind at times, and I struggle to rotate my body enough. I will keep this drill on the front burner in the future! Thanks again!
very applicable to me, thanks Eric. Just need some decent weather here in Texas.
Hope this one serves you well, Jim!
Thank you very much Eric! Congratulations for being so practical and didactic in teaching Swing. Lowering my left and right shoulders greatly improves my swing. I'd like a practical example of "you must tilt" in Driver's swing. Greetings. Nico from Brazil
Our pleasure, Nico!
Lots of the same principles here with driver👊
Here is a video Marty and I did on some differences with irons vs driver to keep in mind that might help:

Excellent instruction once again, Mr Cogorno..!
Thanks,
William
Thank you William!👊
Eric is the only instructor that I can click the like button before I even view the content. He's that good!
👊Thank you, Jeff!
Nice explanation of shoulder movement
Thanks John!
I already incorporate “tilt” in my swing but really thinking about that right shoulder, I feel like my swing is more powerful and puts more control into my right dominant arm and hand.
Love it!
Love this drill! Thank you for the quality information Eric
Our pleasure, George!
FREAKING ERIC BRILLIANT, plus keeps club-face more stable thru impact , rotate rotate rotate no stall …..great stuff
Thanks Bryan!
Hi Eric...I have the forward part, but struggle with the down part. My shoulder keeps hitting my chin instead of getting it under my chin. Please show some slow drills to improve this .
Hey there!
Check this video out and let us know if you have any questions!

@@CogornoGolf Thank you so much. Just what I needed. One question. I am 5' 8" in my shoes. I think I would find it much easier to drop my shoulder if I choke down on the clubs. I usually hold it at the absolute end. Is this something worth considering?
I know when I’m striking the ball better I feel a side crunch and my right wrist bent. This all makes sense
100%
This was great, but can you do a video talking about parabolic acceleration of the grip cap and how it ties into this video to create clubhead speed, as if your hands/arms hit a wall for a split second as the clubhead rips thru impact as the grip goes up. Padraig Harrington did a video on this, tip 36, but you explain things better!
Great video!
Thanks Mike!
My upper body moves towards the target as I come down. A reverse spine tilt that, I believe, results from poor shoulder turn coming down. Any suggestions on how to correct this so I can stay behind the ball?
Hey there!
I think these videos below will help a lot!

How do I keep my trail right foot down during the downswing?
Hey there!

Excellent!
Thank you!
How do u keep from hitting the ball fat when u lower your right shoulder
Down and forward two moves together
The FORWARD part
Also....your trail arm and trail wrist need to be bent (as good ball strikers do)
More details on that here: th-cam.com/video/EtGRf3FSY34/w-d-xo.html
Great video
Thanks Jacob!
Life changing
:)
I have an AC joint separation and my right shoulder is always forward no matter what I try. What can I do?
Hey! Good question---I don't know.
I can't say for sure without seeing your swing on video and seeing what it looks like/how you can/can't move and how that effects the other parts
Send videos in to www.cogornogolf.com so we can see and help or find good coach in person to work with!
Shoulder down creates side bend and shallows the club.
100%!
Is it wrong to feel as if the shoulders/rest of the body bring the club down instead of the arms/hands?
Hey Ross! I wish it were that simple for everyone. Some players may feel that and get the motion correct----others need to feel arms....others wrists...etc. Really depends where youre coming from
Does this move apply to when you are hitting the driver?
Hey there!
Here is more on the driver vs iron----we talk about the shoulder differences within
th-cam.com/video/TJtx-qVSgVU/w-d-xo.html
Head should be more back with driver:

won't you get the same impact position if you rotate yout left shoulder up and around ? seems to me this thought is more natural since the left hipp is already one of the biggest power drivers of the downswing.
Yep!
Neither one is more natural than the other nor right or wrong.....can feel trail side or lead side both good
Great stuff as usual. That guy right behind you is really stuck in his swing thoughts. :)
Nice weather there. We've had snow continuously on the ground in Denver since before new years. Not 1 day to practice at the range, and that is no exaggeration.
Thank you!
Will this work with my driver?

If i do this i hit the ball a mile to the right but really good contact though
Hey rocco!
If its CURVING right I would look at closing the club face more
If its not curving right but going straight right that's likely a club path too far in to out
If you don't get it sorted send swings to www.cogornogolf.com that should be easily fixable
👍
👊Appreciate you watching!
I enjoy and get a lot out of your videos. Now you would be a wizard if you could help me get a Tee Time at Osprey :)
Lol :)
