I love how companies have thought that maybe someone will buy a wrx and then transmission swap it with the STI drivetrain.... Bader makin’ it look so easy!! Great video, and thank you!!
Bader, THANK YOU for making this video. I just saw this a year later ha ha. Been trying to figure out if my transmission has DCCD. I saw the same plug atop my transmission, so... Yes! Yes! Almost done getting the thing bolted up to the WRX. I was so close yesterday but then had to leave for work till Thursday morning. I HATE that.
Got a 2020 WRX, about 33k miles before I start turning wrenches on it, gives me time to build up my parts inventory anyway. Eagerly watching this and your other builds!
Man I appreciate you and your channel. Josh i love your passion for Automotive Engineering. You seem really happy when your tuning the cars and just removal and replacement of components. I was like that in the Navy as an Aviation Electrician on the F-14 Tomcat. Stay safe brother.
"No problem", for the man with a plan 👌. Just another day at the office or under the hood for you. The speed of your supply chain and your work in your blue sky shop "driveway " :) is impressive 👌. Think, do, done!
so did you get the stock sti dccd controller to work and read on the sti cluster and how did you get it work ? and with what iwire kit any info would be great thanks
love the channel, is there a video inbetween this vid and the finishing touches vid? already bought a sti trans and now researching what controller etc and what i need to make the sti cluster work
well man, watching this upload just pushed me to submit that Cobb stage 1+ order lol. I swear I get so motivated to do more stuff with my subie watching your vids!! Btw, iWire stuff definitely seems top notch! Pricey but quality.
You got sweet vids man of what I’d like my wrx to be. Great videos man. What can a stock FA20 safely handle power wise. I don’t want too much horsepower to where I blow my motor. Was looking for about 330ish on stock rods and everything.
_BaderBuilt do you know what the stock wheel torque is on them. I’m very new to modding cars and by far your vids have been most informational. If your able what mods would you recommend. I was going to do grimmspeed charge pipe, grimmspeed tmic, grimmspeed 3 port electronic boost controller, Perrin turbo inlet, ma performance j-pipe mated to a invidia r-400 or tomei, and tgv deleted, and a iag air oil separator, and a boomba bpv
Hey Josh, super cool to see the channel blowing up and the content has been great! Btw I believe I have a head mount for a gopro lying around somewhere that I never use that you could just have if interested. Not sure how often you use gopros for wrenching but if it would help lmk
Hey boss! If awesome videos! I actually have a quick question for you regarding the STi swap for the WRX. I have an 18 wrx stage 2... working on suspension now, but for this summer I was hoping yo start shopping around for that trans swap. But I wanted to ask you if you were able to use the STi DCCD controller? I was thinking of getting STi center console, so did the controller work? Would I need the gauge cluster as well? Please let me know! Thanks!
I'm definitely interested if you can get the 2015 STI cluster working as well. No one seem talk talk about swapping them on the 2015+. Keeps us posted and keep up the good vids!
I bought a 2014 wrx hatch with 77k miles. All it has is a cat back exhaust and it has been making ticking noises when it idles. Is this normal? When i am at a drivethru it sounds like something is about to break
It unfortunately does not, although im looking into making it work like oem. There is aftermarket standalone units available to resolve the dccd though.
@@BaderBuiltRacing Did you ever figure out if it is possible to get the DCCD to show up on the STI Instrument Cluster?? Can you get a DCCD PRO or Spider to stop the instrument panel from flashing?
so i really want to get a newer wrx with the FA engine. but i keep seeing things about carbon build up being a problem in these engines. any suggestions ? or anything that you can tell me about that?
Hey there! Love your videos. Did you ever make a video on how to wire up the iwire dccd harness?? That’s the last hurdle for my 6 speed swap, and honestly wiring intimidates the hell out of me.
I love how companies have thought that maybe someone will buy a wrx and then transmission swap it with the STI drivetrain.... Bader makin’ it look so easy!! Great video, and thank you!!
Pretty sure they just make most of the parts the same to cut costs
It definitely was super nice to see everything literally is a bolt in deal. Im looking forward to the content to come soon :)

You should get the UEL tomei header for the wrx
Christopher Powell can’t put UEL on the FA20
Armand Rivamonte -Young yes you can they released it a few days ago look on subispeed website and you will see they even made a video
Christopher Powell HOLY SHIT THAT’S THE MOST EXCITING THING IVE HEARD IN A WHILE. THANK YOU FOR CORRECTING ME!!
I will buy you a ticket to Australia to come do sum work to my sti 😃😃
Great content. Much love from England 🏴
Thank you sir!
Man there is just a certain care and personal touch you put into these videos my friend. Keep the great videos coming Man.

There is an RA Trans near me and I'm considering doing the same after watching these
Thatd be a great idea to swoop!

did u have to use a clutch kit from an sti for this or does the wrx clutch fit?
Loving the videos man!!

Their main issue is the weak rods, no more than 350wtq is key on them.

That would be awesome! Im pretty sure thats what id need to do head mount content. Ive been looking into what i should get recently.
Hey Bader! Keep up the great work! Sharing all your videos! Greeting from 🇨🇦🤙🏼
I appreciate the support!

Whats the exhaust setup on the wrx
Invidia R400
why does that wrx have an sti badge on the front...
So does the wrx ecu accept the sti dccd? Or will u explain in another video?
It unfortunately does not, although im looking into making it work like oem. There is aftermarket standalone units available to resolve the dccd though.

A lot of people run egr deletes which really helps carbon build up and also AOS’s
Now that's a true wrx sti!

How much for a sti drivetrain swap from you? I'm literally thinking of sending my wrx to you from Ohio.
I don't know who is recommending head mounts for the camera but I can say that most of the head-mounted recordings I've seen are seasickness inducing
Cheese and rice your ride is sweet!
where you located so i could bring my car to you
Spokane wa sir :)
Can't wait till you put a front mount intercooler on this lol
coming soon :)
Check your Dm in Ig i got some extra gloves
I will check sir!
