This high performance recirculating blow-off valve is precision machined out of aircraft grade billet aluminum. It features an internal brass piston design and is pressure tested to withstand up to 75psi, allowing it to compliment even the most aggressive turbo builds. Spring pre-load determines the pressure differential required across the piston before the BOV opens and releases the pressurized intake charge. Designed to be a replacement for the OEM bypass valve and is available in 4 different colors.
-Larger cross section compared to stock
    -100% recirculating
    -Higher flow
    -Pressure tested to 75 PSI
    -Easy install
    -No need for re-tune
Installation is simple and all mounting hardware is included.

Greetings all. I just installed my new Boomba bypass valve on a 2018 WRX. I test drove it, and all felt great. My boost gauge showed a peak of 22.9 psi after one pull. I don’t know what it showed before with the stock part. Wish I had noticed.
Like “Subaru WRX” says below..... our newer cars are different than the one in the video. I’m glad he made his comments on this matter. It did help. Thank you, Sir.

It fit and lined up perfectly on my 2018 WRX without trimming the bypass valve connection on the turbo inlet. Some trimming may be required on older FA20 WRX models though. I however paired this with a Perrin charge pipe, Apexi drop in filter and a Perrin turbo inlet pipe and love hearing the turbo spool and bypass valve sounds that are audible. On a side note, 2015 to 2017 WRX's have an intake silencer/milk jug whereas the 2018 and newer ones do not have that on the factory air box, which can affect hearing the turbo and bypass valve

Do you have any other modifications done to the car, preferably to the air intake so the engine breathes easier? If you haven't removed any of the plastic intake ducting and replaced it with something that lets the air flow freely, you really won't hear any bypass valve sounds at all. If you want to know the most audible method of getting the sound, though, it will require you to install an aftermarket cold air intake and get the car pro-tuned so the engine does not get put in danger. On a side note, the Cobb OTS tune is not the way to go because that tune was not designed for your car specifically. That Cobb OTS tune possibly could work fine with your cars engine, or it could become a ticking time bomb due to your car residing in a different environment than their shop cars

JP NPC I also have a 2018 WRX and I did not have to trim the bypass valve connection on the turbo inlet at all, it fit perfectly. I however paired this with an Apexi drop in air filter, Perrin charge pipe and Perrin turbo inlet, and I can honestly say that I love hearing the turbo spool and bypass valve go off due to those other parts amplifying the sound a bit. Our 2018's and onward do not have intake silencers/milk jugs like the previous years so that lack of restriction allows us to hear the turbo and bypass valve a tad more without the need to go with an aftermarket air intake setup

I’ve had this BPV for over 6 months now and it’s been great. Recently when I hit around 10 to 12 psi the boost hesitates and stutters for half a second then it acts normal and starts climbing again when I’m on the throttle. My DAM on my accessport drops after hard pulls. My tuner said he thinks the BPV has a leak and is causing it. He even went as far as saying that the stock bpv is better then the boomba from personal experience. Have you guys heard of this problem before?

Depending on how the vehicle was assembled, the line may have a kink in it if it is not trimmed when installing our BPV. We do have customers with our BPV installed without trimming that inlet. Even if you trim that inlet, the car will still be able to be returned back to stock should you ever want to go that route.

I only trim like 2MM and fits well but the the video instruction isn't a good representation of the 2017 model. My turbo inlet layout is different from their model car they were using. I skipped most of the step that recommended. I worked from an angle on the side instead directly under it. I was able to remove the stock BPV without removing the turbo outlet vacuum hose. I be honest I don't feel like reinstalling those cover that muc

We have heard of some tuners that have found leaky BPVs on totally stock WRXs. You can use this part on a vehicle that is totally stock, or heavily modified. There is no need to retune after installing this piece. If you are already working with a pro-tuner, it doesn't hurt to send them some logs to see if they can squeeze you out a little more power after the installation of this piece.

I have the stage 1 eTune by MAPerformance along with a Nameless Muffler Delete CHE.
Would like to do this someday but concerned about stalling, etc...It seems relatively simple to install and wish I knew for certain that this would be far superior to the stock one. It seems that way per your videos though. Hmmm...what to do.

You will not need a special tune to run that piece on your car! Our BPV operates in the same way as stock so there is no need to worry. We have customers running these on stock vehicles as well as highly modified ones. It holds boost much better than the stock piece.

Does this offer any performance qualities?

    • @BoombaRacing
      @BoombaRacing  7 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes this is a huge upgrade over the stock BPV which is known to tear and leak boost. The stock BPV features very poor construction and is made from cheap plastic and rubber and features a very flimsy spring. Our valve has aircraft grade billet aluminum, a brass piston, and Viton O-rings and is tested to 100 PSI to ensure leak free operation. All of our BOVs also carry a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Our BPV helps to eliminate boost spikes and holds pressure much better than stock. Check out this video to see the power gain we picked up! th-cam.com/video/QFyw-ktSQEQ/w-d-xo.html
