For more than 25 years, Tommy Igoe, has been blazing a trail in the music industry as a sideman, band leader, and educator. Nice. Beautifully played. One of my favorite grooves. I have a bunch of Sergio Mendes stuff in my play along folder. I always thought it was my first big step toward achieving some independence since playing the snare drum on the 'one' and also on the same note as the bass drum is uncomfortable at first and a great experience in getting outside your comfort zone. Also, nothing like the bosa nova to show you can be as groovy as you want to be without ever going faster than eigth notes.
