Melbourne based drummer David Debono teaching how to play 'The Bossa Nova Beat' on drums... Hope you enjoy it awesome people...
If you have any request for future lessons or drum covers, please post in comments section below...
The equipment I use:
Drums: The drum kit I am playing here on this video is a Mapex Orion. Its a 6 piece drum kit. Tom sizes 10, 12, 14 and 16.
Cymbals: The cymbals are all Zildjian: A series...
Moongel: I am a fan of moongel on all the drums. It dampens the sound and makes it more punchy... If you have a problem with overtones, definitely give it a try...
Microphones: I use Audix microphones
Bass Drum Pedal: The pedal used here is an Axis longboard.
Recording Software: Cubase
Video Editing Software: Sony Vegas
Digital Interface: Tascam 1800
Drum Sticks: Pro Mark 5A Nylon Tip
Camera:1 x Iphone 6 plus 2 x Sony HandyCam/ - เพลง

Great 😃 o
My inability to read drumset sheet music combined with my difficulty hearing kick drums makes this hard for me to learn from, so I can't quite figure out where the cross-stick fits with the kick.
this guy made a really good visualization of the beat by putting all the parts on a circle th-cam.com/video/mZ_mEmaJu98/w-d-xo.html
thank you
You are welcome Zora
Nice! I noticed that you bury the bass drum beater into the head. Do you think that the Latin beats sound better that way, or just personal preference?..thanks
Great question... Yes, I think it would be a preference... It may also depend on the situation... If you were playing very softly, then you may not want to bury the drum beater so much, and try and play lighter into the bass drum... But with louder situations, it wouldn't matter....
But, I think if you can play lighter, and still bury the beater, it wouldn't matter...
Really good question... Thanks
Thank you bro g b u
