- I've been waiting all week to share this video! For those who watched my "live" video about elbow/shoulder issues, this is a MUST SEE! I never had a reason to go to a Physical Therapist, but my MDS recommended it when medication wasn't fully helping the pain. The results...let's just say I'm a believer in PT! I'm not a doctor, and I know everyone experiences different symptoms, but I highly recommend using all the tools that your doctor provides you! Check out why.
Amen Jessica. Reaching over to the passenger seat is awful... elbow/shoulder
Thank you for your dedication, both of you ❤
Hey guys, here's a topic that you should consider- "Embryonic Stem Cell Therapy" (primarily for tremors)
Big pharma and religious zealots continue to lobby against it here. But many have had the procedure done in Panama, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, etc...with great success! ❤
I did the LSVT "Big" therapy (prescribed by my PCP), but like Brian, I am fortunately very early in the progression of the disease, with only somewhat of a minor tremor in my left hand. I'm right-handed (whew!).
I went through the LSVT BIG program with a PT & OT as well! Very worthwhile. The exercises greatly assist in keeping my range of motion. I plan to perform these exercises every day for the rest of my life!
You're just lucky. You connected with a good physical therapist. I went twice soon after I was diagnosed and she just had me do regular exercises.
I went when I was first diagnosed and nothing really happened. But now that I went in with this very specific issue, they were very helpful. Did you have a specific issue you went in for?
@@thesecretlifeofparkinsons No.
This is a question for Brian which DBS do you have?
Metronics if so what number are you at?
I don't think he saw this question yet, but he actually has Boston Scientific
Sorry, this is unrelated to today's topic. But have you guys done an episode(s) on the challenges of living alone w/PD?
We have not, but we can! Assuming you live alone and have PD, are you concerned about the challenges you may face later in the diagnosis? Let me know if there is something specific you would want us to focus on. I'm sure Brian can discuss.
