    So I picked up a few small pieces of the Mr Clean Magic Erasers and they do work. I made the mistake of keeping my folding bicycle in the sleeper of my semi tractor. It bounced all over the leather interior wall and scuffed it pretty good. I used a combo of small spot sprays of bicycle chain degreaser and then started scrubbing with the Magic Eraser. Started coming out gradually.

    You can use a heat gut on a low setting and a tight cone tip for those last marks you can get off with a magic eraser. Localize the heat on the damaged area and brush with a plastic brush. Be careful not to overheat the area especially if the plastic has a texture.

    Totally unrelated but it was some plastic I needed cleaning. I was using my Oculus Quest 2 and I thought I was facing my open space not my wall. I was wrong. I hit the fattest right hook on my shelf trying to stab a zombie and it left a huge grey mark on the controller. I used mineral spirits before but I ran out so, I looked up this and just used a magic eraser and it worked great. Thanks for the assistance.

      Any light scratches in metal can be compounded and polished. They sell simple kits at most car parts stores. You don't need a polisher for it, you can usually do it by hand. If they are deep scratches, you can sand with 2000 grit, then 3000 grit, then compound and polish.

  • @naegleriafowleri1715
    @naegleriafowleri1715 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It removes them but also removes the color. You can’t fix that and you created a lighter shade spot which stands out even more. Just replace the part

    • @wilsonautodetailing
      @wilsonautodetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      With everything there is a right and wrong way to use it, yes if you scrub for five minutes you will damage something, but no it was not faded after used in this video

    • @naegleriafowleri1715
      @naegleriafowleri1715 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wilson Auto Detailing it does create fade but it didn’t in your case because you mr cleaned the whole plastic 😂 obviously it will be uniform but If you do it on one spot, it will haze the area just like it does on paint. I’ve tried on my car and just a couple of second of using it, created a haze and how do you remove that haze. Polishing it? I haven’t tried that which is why I never used mr clean for anything else except maybe serious cases like removing paint transfer or something. If is the door sills, I would just replace it but most people don’t know is possible

  • @DarDarBanks1
    @DarDarBanks1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I just picked up a new 2019 Honda pilot with the black plastic trim on the lower portion of the bumpers and it pretty much wraps around the wheel wells too,I just saw there are some light scratches from when the guy pulled into the washbay..... I wonder if I could use the magic eraser on that to get rid of the light scratches, I can’t even feel it with my nails to be honest but it just looks horrible since it’s a brand new car. All they did was put some more dressing on it but I could still see it :(
    What would you recommend I do? Thanks in advance bro
