    Silk Shine has a lot of uses. I like the smooth, clean look it gives when used on tires. If you want to keep the freshly washed look on them but not going for a wet look, it's a great way to get it

    What would you recommend to removing the scuffs rather than hiding/blending them?

    Great vid! I love silk and shine but have been spraying it directly on the interior and wiping it off. Should it be applied with a microfiber applicator or applicator pad?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we recommend using an applicator to apply Silk Shine!

    @Chemical Guys - I got both products and used Nonsense in 1:5 ratio and it didn’t remove any scuffs. Used it full strength and still doesn’t remove anything. Used Siga professional microfiber towels. I wonder what else can I do given this was the recommended way to get rid of foot marks on door plastic.

    Hey Nick: What about really "serious" scratches - I've got a few of those in the kick panel areas and in the back of my Honda Fit in the cargo/trunk area ...any suggestions? Silk/Shine works great for the scuffs, however the scratches are still there . I'm tempted to take an angle grinder to them, but ...

    • @JM811Cars
      @JM811Cars 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If they're like frayed, if that makes sense, you can take a heat gun to them and itll sort of melt the frayed plastic and blend it better into the panel... obviously do a test section first to get an idea of how much heat and how long to hold it in an area without damaging the panel

    • @susansmith6576

    I bought a bottle of silk shine , with the sprayer nozzle already on it, is this already diluted ? If so what ratio ?

    • @tmd1505
      @tmd1505 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want super shiny vinyl; don't dilute, if required matt results; dilute as per your choice, I usually make 2 bottles from 1 silk shine, 8 oz silk shine 8oz water, works great for me.

    I have a question in regards to a job I was charged for, the owner stated that he would buff and wax my vehicle removing scuffs and swirl marks within the clear coat. Problem is, when I washed the vehicle everything was present again how does that happen??
    I've never seen or heard of that oh, how can you make it look good on pick up but not say that way after a Car Wash touchless at that??

    • @HantsLeo

    Can you do one on light scratches on a newer cars paint it's a 2019 and I sorta lightly messed it up. Only I see them but they bother me. Being new paint and all what all is different.

    • @bangmygears
      @bangmygears 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use some VSS, you can also use it by hand , works really good on the light scratches and swirls

    • @DatGameCollector
      @DatGameCollector 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bangmygears that's what I was thinking. What would u put it on with a teary cloth, microfiber? Or a pad of some sort?

    • @bangmygears
      @bangmygears 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DatGameCollector you have a couple options for hand polishing. www.chemicalguys.com/hex-logic-hand-polishing-applicator-pads---3-pack/BUFX_204.html www.chemicalguys.com/premium-grade-microfiber-applicators/premium-grade-applicators.html
      The foam pads have more cutting properties. A white pad should do you fine since it's very light minor scratches. Then you could use the microfiber applicator for a glaze,jet seal or butterwax.
