- I have something new to share in this update video. Come check out the new medical mini-mall built in the old Herberger's!
I also share what moved into Northbridge's other empty anchor.

This Herberger's used the rose logo until the closure in 2018. Even after the Bon-Ton acquisition, some Herberger's stores continued to use the classic rose logo until the company's closure in 2018.
You might want to come back for an update. As of January 2025, Leutholds (clothing store) has left the mall and relocated downtown. Anytime Fitness also left and now has a free-standing location further south on Bridge Avenue. MercyOne Clinic is gone and there is still no new clinic in its place. It was supposed to be United Health District out of Wells, Minnesota. Oh, and Big Lots closed their Northbridge location.
Dang! It’s getting really bad. Thanks for letting me know.
@@YodelingLoonRetail I meant January 2025, by the way. Yeah, the mall is pretty empty. They did fill the former Hardee's/Dairy Queen out front with a Mexican restaurant, though. That just opened the beginning of this year.
Great job!
Love your videos, there well produced.
The thumbnail brought me in. I will have to watch your 2021 episode 1 on this. Thanks for this.
Thank you letting me know! I thought I'd try something different from the usual, but delightfully gawdy lighting.
Loved it!
I had a chance to visit Northbridge in August and November (2023). Harbor Freight, Big Lots and Dollar Tree are nice, new additions to the old Shopko space. Got to see a movie at the theater in the mall as well. It's a shame Mercy Medical Center is closing soon. The city needs a 2nd healthcare provider that can bring back the necessary services that Mayo moved out of town. Parts of Northbridge still scream 1987, and the stained carpet kills me. Lots of memories of this mall!
I enjoy your videos.
Great job!
Thank you for sharing your memories!
You're welcome!
Looking forward to the DSM series!
It’s fun to see this video, I used to go regularly when I lived closer and it’s good to see a little life left there
Mercy Medical has announced that they will be leaving the Northbridge Mall at the end of 2023.
How about a revisit of Skyline Plaza in Albert Lea?
Hmm, maybe I’ll check it out next summer and see how much has changed.
Grandma's Gourmets has just announced that they are now closed.
Dang, thanks for letting me know. That’s unfortunate. It looks like they might be surviving as a pop up at least.
when is the last time you were there? I love the corner of the mall in your thumbnail. do you know if it still looks like this? I would really like to take a photo of it but its like an hour and a half from me, just want to know if it still looks like that
I took the thumbnail photo in July of this year. Unfortunately, I won’t go back until next July unless I hear of a mall closure in central or eastern Iowa.
Are you using a gimbal with your IPhone when you record? That should improve the stability of the footage.
I’ve become better at filming with a iPhone by hand. I also gifted an Osmo 3 which I’m hoping will not try to film as much as my Osmo 1 does.
The "new" sections look far more liminal than the original mall
