Every time I watch you do an engine build I imagine myself walking into the workshop, then leaving with my perfectly built engine to install in my own car !! Oh well, dream on !!! Great work.
You are by far the best video out there for ej rebuilds. I have an ej205 that I want to rebuild and your videos are a huge help. I watch your videos to relax. Your videos are awsome. Thank you for letting us watch you work. Hello from America.
After building engines myself for numerous years, it amazes me again and again that I enjoy watching someone else doing that same thing. It's probably, because I enjoy a professional building the engines properly, instead of some hysterical kid throwing an engine together in a cringe-worthy manner in his parents garage. And nice too; no blasting "music" either!
Congratulations, beautiful work! I have a question, what material do you use to lubricate the bearings? (9:40), Where do I find?, Is it possible to enter the name? I do not find anything similar in my country Thanks for any reply!
Big fan, can you show the various sealants that you use. Also if there is a North American equivalent. The Europeans get the high quality product and material thing. It can be tough to source them on a local level. Keep them coming. It's definitely about your work and style and shop practices that has many watching. Thank you for doing it the way that you do.
You have video, where you finish the whole process, I mean the installation of the engine ( engine - transmission ) in the car and connection of all the electric wire and the ignition
Really nice attention to detail! How do you like the Mahle Motorsport powerpak pistons? I'm assembling my EJ257 with these and everyone I know uses the other big manufacturers.
@subi performance: you guys should record engine build video with stereo mic and then tag it as an ASMR video :) . Anyway, thanks again for an great video !
Where can I get a step-by step list of everything you do including all of the materials, components, and special tools used? If you put it in book form, I would gladly buy a copy.
He marks them so he knows that he torqued them down properly and also if someone decides to disassemble the engine later he'll know that they touched the bolts

Such a pleasure to watch you work. It's not every day you get to watch a master mechanic do his thing.

I wish there was someone out there who took videos like this while building the VAG 1.8T's.
Man another great job!!!The piston ring end must align or not ?Thnx

Great Dr. Car Motors.

I know you’ve done this many times at this point but in the beginning how many times did you drop that wrist pin retainer clip into the block?
What weight of engine oil do you like for an EJ257 driven in warm weather only?
Great videos, thanks!
Great video 👍 What brand piston did you use in this build?
mahle motorsport ❤️
@@SubiPerformance So weird, you can buy everything you need on their North America website. But not on the European one -_-
Where can I get a step-by step list of everything you do including all of the materials, components, and special tools used? If you put it in book form, I would gladly buy a copy.
Also would like to know the differences in block numbers/ castings, and recommended heads/ head combinations. Thank you.
Magnifico!
Great Video again ! What application is this engine for ? What is this engine capable of power wise ?
Also did you say you sell that assembly grease ?
Flower George on his website subi - performance .com
Owesome❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Is this going to be naturally aspirated? If not, why use an open block?
subi my friend your job is perfect ... I would like to see you and a close friend from Greece.
Nice so nice only jealous people put dislike.
Awesome !
Perfect👍😁
Mecanic for sleep oulala no !!!! yes finaly .....
Why do you mark the screws after adjustment?
He marks them so he knows that he torqued them down properly and also if someone decides to disassemble the engine later he'll know that they touched the bolts
What is the red paste you use on the bearings called?
Being open deck engine, how much power those engines can take?
Subaru needs to build a flat six and give Porsche a run for their money.
fw1421 I think they did for awhile, and may still.
@15:36 - what is the purpose of that little bolt?
To seal the block halves at the oil gallery.
@@troyfankell6581 Thanks, but it is just so small that it doesn't look like it is really necessary.
It may seem small but it is definitely necessary.
No ringland failure here, kiddos.
Bravo.
nive vid man !
What's the tube of gasket maker being used in the beginning?
@Ro Bert I was just wondering if it were some aftermarket brand.. .
Where is the dog
Do you build EZ30s?
no problem
open decks make me cry
Should be building Porsche engines.
😍
Schön
German perfection...
Guessing that you don't paint your completed engines? Not even a clear coat?
