This seems like a pretty cool game, the controls seem very fast, and the art style is very nice and cartoony, even at a high resolution

I'd recommend that you at least make auto-pick-up an option. Some people may prefer it and persons with disabilities may appreciate it
I agree with a auto pickup option, your already doing a action to chop down a tree, having to walk to every log and pick them up 1 by 1 feels tedious to me

Wow looks really good and promising. Make sure to mention to add this game to wishlist on steam cause it is a big factor in the steam algorithm about how much they will suggest your game, and do a lot of teasers around the interenet and obviously create a community that will play your game when it just comes out :D anyway good luck with that i am following !

This is 3rd game similar to what I want to do:) Forager, Keeper, and this one, I love all but so far this one is looking really cool, I really really like forager and I want to make something similar but searching on youtube I see a lot of people doing something similar, anyways, so far this is looking really good, great work man👌
I think a lot of people are wanting games similar to this! I've been wanting a game like this for over a decade. So far all the released games fill some of that desire but still leave me wanting more.

Just discovered this what seemed pretty much out of nowhere (Thanks youtube!) and I already know I'm going to adore this game when its released. It makes me think of so many of my favorite games, but it feels like its own. You've done a fantastic job and I can't wait to see the finished game! The sprites are so adorable as well, I love the sprites and the menu icons!

I share the same view on items not being auto collected. As you said it takes interaction off the game and in my opinion gives you control on what you want to pick up and what to leave behind, saving you time from putting unwanted items in your inventory and then trying to find them and discard them. The art style of the game looks amazing and i like your take on the genre. Hope to see more soon!
Yeah I'm glad you get it. I think people like auto-pickup for the convenience but quickly forget that it means you're going to pick up a lot of stuff you might not want, and then you have to spend time cleaning out your inventory.

first of all I loved the idea of manually picking and being able to throw them, it both adds more realism and a game mechanic where you can use found items to throws certain points to solve puzzles or draw attention of monster away from you etc.
This looks incredible! Just started learning game dev recently and this was really encouraging to see. Keep up the good work! Definitely looking forward to the next dev log

This looks great, very nice art. Really really good, you must have been working on this for quite a while. This is a really small thing but I think when you pick up an item it should go straight into your quick access toolbar instead of the inventory if you have space. And its obvious this is gonna be optimised for controlled but it might be a good idea to have mouse functionality in the inventory and menus (if you dont already). It must be annoying having so many people sh!t out ideas for you in the comments. Anyway good job I will be watching your devlogs for the foreseeable future :D
There's been some good points made with the item pick-up stuff... I'm actually addressing that issue in this week's development. :) Thanks for the comments. I actually appreciate any ideas or feedback as it will help to improve the game overall.

The graphics look amazing!
this is an interesting start however, the game feels like its lacking a major theme besides just resource gathering, basic enemy combat and crafting. the art style is pretty generic but I like the unique design of the character. for the devlogs, people wont really care about what keys do what, you can always add key binding as an option in the game. lastly, if you have to fast forward through gathering just a small amount of resources, that will become very annoying very quickly. consider either speeding up resource collection or something else to make that part of the game less boring and repetitious. anyways, those are just my suggestions, do what you want with them and good luck on the game!
This looks really nice! The mechanic that you pick the resource up first was a very good decision - it makes the resources feel much more physical and present, not just abstract icons.

It's a more relaxing and realistic minecraft I like the dimmer areas of the forest with the cloud and all :) so beautiful to establish a mini base there :3

I was just thinking for like WAYY down the line but a character customizer seems cool, the player character seems very customizable with different hair/face accessories/skin tone options. I really love the art style, keep up the good work! :-)

Point of feedback: I didn't even notice that the build preview was two different colors. The contrast of the red and green are low enough that my colorblindness obscured it.
Kind of getting forager vibes from this and I love it! The art style is amazing and the animations are clean too! Saying that this game is in early development it already looks like an almost completed game! Keep up the good work!
