Very clear and informative video! Quick question - I have seen other videos caution the use of brass fittings on the tanks as they will cause the tank connection to split? Do you not find this issue? I see you have a brass ball valve connected to bottom of the interior tank. Thank you!
Great video... im going to go thru your whole series... thanks for doing this. I am building my cabinets now.. hope i have room for all the pumps and plumbing... i am looking at the space you have... and it has me a little concerned.. and thanks for showing me the accumulator... i forgot about that.
One downside of pex is you need special tools to work on it. Most people wont want to carry these tools in their van. Having a system field serviceable with just a wrench is a nice thing. That said, pex is so unlikely to leak it probably is not a big concern.
I wish some one would do a video on tank fittings. Plastic vs metal and the type of thread sealer for the fittings. I feel like no one explains this. :(
I want to build a truck bed camper, instead of buying one. Is there anyone I could hire to do the plumbing? Anyone who specializes in this type of stuff? I want it to be of grid capable, but also able to plug it into everything at a rv campground.. Any advice guys!?
We did use a 20 gallon grey tank in this van. It’s mounted under the van on the driver’s side. vanlandstore.com/products/northwest-conversions-20-gallon-sprinter-undercarriage-water-tank-with-mounting-kit?_pos=1&_sid=6359dc39b&_ss=r
Do you have a video or part of a video showing the drain setup to the gray tank, including the hole through the floor? Thanks.
The best videos on TH-cam platform! Im watching all your videos thank you
Glad you like them!

Is Propex flexible enough to connect directly to the pump without increasing the noise? Typically you would isolate it with flexible braided tubing.

Very good point. And valid follow-up assessment.
Won’t those black plastic elbows crack from freezing?
It's a pain in the ass to replace those connections.

What is that outdoor shower flip up fitting? thats really cool. thanks for the great video by the way!
Found it on your site: vanlandstore.com/collections/showers/products/bullfinch-external-shower
Here it is: vanlandstore.com/products/bullfinch-external-shower?_pos=1&_sid=3d9c53131&_ss=r
Great video! I wonder if you might have trouble filling the tanks in freezing weather with the outside fill?
I'd love to hear how you look at floor passthroughs. Do you use heavy gaskets of some kind? Cable boots? How do you seal? Cheers!
Where do you get the tool to put the connectors on and what is it called
This is very high quality stuff. A bit overkill for my needs. I use a cell phone charger to power a 5 gallon water jug.
Is vinyl really that leak prone?
Amazing!

THERE IS NO BEST
Thanks for the info 👍👍🇺🇸
You bet
Very nice design. 50g is sufficient for most owners I suspect.
Yes that’s plenty of water! More than that is really too heavy to carry.
@@VanLand Does Van Land install the tanks/kits like this?
Love your content! That’s about 400 pounds of water, will the van be OK?
It is a lot of weight, so make sure your rig is under the GVWR. For this build, it works!
Oh yeah, definitely ready for all seasons with a plastic water container underneath the van. 💀That's a dumbass move.
Are all three colors propex?
Yes- it comes in white, blue and red.
Did I miss the grey tank?

@@VanLand do you do anything special for winter travel with that tank? Looking to add a grey tank to my sprinter build right now
Is pro PEX available in colors or just white
Yes it’s available in white, red and blue to my knowledge. Can be a bit hard to find still.
