Hope you don't go in any cold areas because your water pump will freeze and burst outside. Also you will have heat loss and heat transfer by zipping the 2 water lines together. If you are in a cold area you can also use heat tape to keep water lines from freezing. There are a lot of right angle connectors when the hose if flexible and can bend it and not take the chance of water leaks with so many connects - besides they can get costly. You need to insulate your water lines separately! Thanks for sharing your videos - Im not trying to be critical - just helpful!
What about the watertank, i'm afraid that could freeze... I'm mostly going to cold plaes as sierra nevada alps, pyrenees. I need to find a solution to that...

A few have mentioned the exhaust proximity to the water lines and drain line. One thing that you'll have to remember, is to close your ball value off when you use the pump. If not, the pump will just circulate the water out the tank and back in through that closed loop, never building pressure to the other fixtures. Great job on the install.
Thanks yes since this video I have installed exhaust heat wrap which contains nearly all the heat extruding from the exhaust, so the pipes are safe. Thats right, if I left the "tank fill" valve open the pump would forever circulate. I can see you are paying attention ;)

Excellent video, as usual! =) One small recommendation: I would put a one-way valve into the top of the breather line for the water tank. So that water can escape and overflow, but nothing can travel back down that line into your fresh water tank. You never know, but you probably don't want dirt or critters to go down the line and contaminate your fresh water. :)

Hi Mate, you're absolutely right! I had completely ignored the fact that the pump will generate a bit of a vacuum when running, so yeah. It would be a little awkward if it couldn't draw air back in! ;)
Great video! Loving the build so far. However, I just have a few concerns about having the water tank to one side and the grey water tank to the other. At some point, they will have unequal amounts of water and that might impact drivability of the van. Furthermore, if I might add, adding baffles inside the tank will help a lot in stability as they reduce lateral motion of water during driving, especially when turning. Although that might be an overkill.
Both those points a super valid, although I think once taking into consideration all everything in the van build that this van shouldn't be weighed down to much to one side, a small amount should be ok. The baffles I did want but would've cost me a lot more so I just ran with not having them, I'm sure all will be fine ;)
Doing the plumbing was a fun step and wasn't too hard to learn (similar concepts to electrical). Using the JG (John Guest) connector methods made it very simple also. I recommend installing tanks underneath your van to take full advantage of this space and save space inside.

Fantastic work! Great videos, really informative. Looking forward to seeing it all finished :)
Thanks heaps!
Danggg man, are you a plumber? This one is the most comprehensive setup I've seen yet!
Amazing videos!! Can’t wait for more! Thanks so much for the awesome build vlog
