Mike is a great guy. I was watching and said “Hey I know that Jeep”. Then I realized you had one of the best leading the way. Next time I see Mike I’m gonna get his autograph since he’s TH-cam famous.
You guys did it right! I’m a newbie, I’m planning my first overlanding trip ever to LBL. I’m working on getting everything I would need for a safe weekend. Camping supplies such as cookware, sleeping gear, tires and winch. I’ll be overlanding in my 09 f150 longbed. Really my only worry is breaking something like suspension or 4x4. I am getting the fever, I can’t wait to spend a few nights down there. Thanks for the video!
Matt and Cara!!! I just noticed Brad was rocking that Long Creek Overland Merch!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!! We need to talk about your premiere times LOL that is exactly the time I have to take my lunch break at work, so I miss out on the Live chatting!! lol Great vid as usual
I belong to a FB group called Pennyrile Off Roaders. We are planning our next ride out there on New Years day, you're welcome to come along. Check out the group page on FB.
At 22:40 where you go down the hill, that's beyond where 139 ends on the MVUM and rangers are suddenly enforcing this with $180 fines. You can park on the hill & carry your gear across the gravel but vehicles are NOT legal beyond where the road ends. Read those MVUMs carefully.
Looks awesome! Do you think theres very many areas I could get to in my 2wd truck? (Its gonna have a hidden whinch and some decent MT's along with a lift.)
I know you don't use the trailer anymore but how bad was it pulling a trailer through trails? I'm thinking of building an offroad camper/trailer myself and curious how difficult it was when you pulled it
Others shouldn't follow your example here as driving on any of the beaches in LBL is not allowed (Turkey Bay is private land) and will end up getting you a fine or worse.
We are doing a LBL trip this year at end of April, trying to do some recon ahead of time. Any POIs we should definitely hit besides what is highlited in video. Any gpx suggestions?
Thanks for all the great content. We really enjoy following what you’re doing. My Wife and I have some time off between Christmas and New Year. We will be travelling in a 4Runner and a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. What’s your opinion on visiting Land Between the Lakes this time of the year. It looks like you did the trails Mid November. Thanks

The picture of the moon through the trees was awesome!
Thank you!
I could stay on that point in the opening drone footage for a month.......absolutely beautiful location.
I agree! It was awesome!
Persimmon Beach, the road in was a whole lot more interesting before the graded it.
I'm ready to watch another great adventure.
Thanks!!
Michael a good dude he taught alot of us in Paducah KY how to wheel
That’s awesome
I’m glad to see the Disco making this trip. I recently bought the same year (2003) with similar lift/tires, and looking for trails to ride.

LBL is a pretty mild area. You should be fine in your truck with some decent tires. It's so beautiful there with great places to camp!
It's awesome to see you in my neck of the woods! Another great video.
Thanks. It’s such a beautiful area!
You had another amazing journey with some awesome friends and I can’t wait to see more
More to come! Thanks!!
Looks like lots of fun mud.
I don’t think my camper would do as well against the mud hole... I’ll get there tho! Great video!
Thanks!!!
Great overlanding
Enjoyed the video... Great drone footage. Looks like a beautiful area.
Thanks!!

We can work on that. 😂😂 thanks.
I live right by lbl. Would love to meet up with some people that know the roads out there and just cruise them and camp.
Super Jealous!! With there being very few technical trails there, just get out and explore.

Great job. Watch a lot of your videos. I live 5 minutes from LBL and enjoy it many many weekends a year.
Thanks!! Sounds like a great place to live!
That camp site was amazing!!!!
LBL is a really cool place!
I have been fallowing you for a few months now and I like how you record the trails more than talking whatever, great job.
Thank you.
Kentucky has a lot more beauty to offer than people realize, any plans to do the KAT?
Yes we definitely want to do the KAT and the DBBW
Nice video. I miss KY.

What road is that observation tower on? I wanna take my kids out to it.
2006 Alfa Gold 35RL Fifth Wheel, 2 Slides
Looks a lot like the Ozarks
It is but much wider. lol. No scratches on this trip.
Is that a bit of Every Rose Has it’s Thorn I heard there..... great video.
Thanks!!
Love it
Thanks!!
Looks awesome! Do you think theres very many areas I could get to in my 2wd truck? (Its gonna have a hidden whinch and some decent MT's along with a lift.)
There are lots of places you could take your 2WD truck on the Kentucky side. Some of us even ran in 2WD until we hit the one deep mud hole.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Sweet! Thanks for the insight!
Good stuff, any info you can share on the trails you hit?
Thanks. I’m not even sure what trails we ran since I was just along for the ride.
I know you don't use the trailer anymore but how bad was it pulling a trailer through trails? I'm thinking of building an offroad camper/trailer myself and curious how difficult it was when you pulled it
It wasn't bad at all. Just gotta be careful turning in tight trees.
I am headed to Crested Butte from NC and want to stop by LBL on the way. Where is that first campsite? looks awesome
Others shouldn't follow your example here as driving on any of the beaches in LBL is not allowed (Turkey Bay is private land) and will end up getting you a fine or worse.
We camped on one beach and it’s a very popular camping spot 🤷🏼♂️
Was this in the OHV park, or just out in LBL proper?
Just out in LBL proper. I didn't have a chance to get to the ORV park.
Great video, looks like a great time. Is this area dispersed camping or camping in designated campgrounds? Thanks!!
LBL has both camping options.
great video
Thank you!!

I didn't mark any POIs. Shoot me a message on Facebook or IG and I'll share some intel with you.
Can you share the location you first camped at in this video?
What tires are you running on your jeep? You seem to have absolutely no issues with them.
Milestar Patagonia’s. I love them!!
I will have to look into a set for my truck. Thank you!
Love the videos. Any plans to post on Rumble?
Thanks! That's something I need to look into. I haven't even tried Rumble yet.
Great video thank you!!! I camped LBL for over twenty years and love it! Where did you start this trek and where did it end? Thank you!!!
Thanks! We started on the Kentucky side and ended on the Tennessee side.
Let’s go
What kind of camper is the orange one? Great video
Thanks! It's a VRV Eco Flyer. Sadly the company went out of business in 2019.
Are you going to do Colorado again next summer??? I would love to tag along
We will definitely be heading out west next year. Just no sure on where and when yet.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures love the videos! Keep up the good work brother
👍👍👍👍👍👍
What trailer do you have?
In this video I had a VRV Eco Flyer. It was a great little trailer.

Looks a lot like the Ozarks.
It reminded me of the Ozarks but a lot wider trails. LOL.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures hahaha. I can see that. Kind of nice.
