Absolutely loved this series, and I'm inspired to check it out. I live in Kansas and had no idea there was such beauty so close. A lot closer than Colorado, anyway! Thanks for putting this together.
Really enjoyed the videos! I especially enjoy that your group has capable vehicles but still realistic for the average person. I get sick of channels that show what you can do with a vehicle with 50k worth of mods!
This series is great! I love motorcycling in Arkansas but now my dilemma is finding the time to, both, ride and overland Arkansas! Wishing you the best and much thanks for sharing!
thanks for sharing a great series on this trail. really enjoyed watching each episode and seeing the trail and camping segments. looking forward to my next ozarks trip and doing this.
Dang it... it's over.... :( Thanks Matt! AND OMG!!!!!!!!!!! I have the 0.0 sticker on my desk at work!!!!! LOL! Never caught that before. Awesome work.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures well I tried to save them for my trip down this weekend but it says I cannot view and it is not public depending on which device I use.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures You the MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well if it keeps working this way you get to pick and choose who gets the routes...LOL. Thanks again!
Those Patagonias look like they are getting you through the trails with no problems. I installed a set on my jeep but I haven't gone off road to try them out yet.
We went to the dover lights a couple of weeks ago. My wife said you can see random lights. Of course I didn't believe her until I actually saw them. It was kind of weird.
I just run across this awesome video series! A buddy and I planned to make the trek this summer 2023. This was filmed about 2 years ago, so can anyone confirm this route is still "open". Thanks!
First off, thanks so much for putting this together! We are heading up there for our 2nd trip from Louisiana. In your opinion, can this be done in “almost” stock vehicles. We have 3” lifts and 33” tires on a 4Runner & Tacoma, they’ll also be a Bronco?? I’m especially curious about the water crossings… not sure what kind of rain y’all get in April.
Enjoyed this series! I’d love to do these trails but I think I’d come out with a lot of body damage to my Tahoe. Maybe oneday when it isn’t my Daily Driver
@@bubbacharpentier1286 They do really well. The key is knowing your rig and what it can do and don't be worried about taking the bypasses. Each rig has their pros and cons.
Interested in looking at the route you took. I clicked the link for route and am having trouble opening it. What system are you navigating with? Gaia ect...
Eric Cassoutt day 4 is definitely the hardest. I put campsites along the route so you can run it as far as you want and be able to find a campsite whenever you want to stop.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures thanks for your thoughts. We plan on trying some trails in April there. I do have 33” RT tires on the Gladiator but stock suspension still.
@@abouttime7316 I'm sure you will be fine. April is typically high water levels so be ready to find alternate routes if the streams are too high to cross.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures I was wondering about the water levels after watching your videos. Nice job btw on the videos. We have someone from the area that has been on the trails before going with us to guide us. Hopefully he too is aware of routes we can take. He was the guy that introduced me to your channel stating this is where we will be going. Trails near Oark from my understanding. I’ll be new to the area. Expecting a group of 6 vehicles.
Planning on making a 10 hour trip from Indiana to complete this next month. As this was filmed almost a year ago, can anyone that may have completed it provide an update on trail/road conditions? Thanks in advance.
Cody3232 Cody3232 they do wear faster because of the softer compound but I’ve got 16k miles on mine and will easily get another 10-15k out of them. So I can’t complain too much about that. I’ll get another set for sure when it’s time.
Going to hit this trail probably Sunday. Will let y’all know if all is open and how it was

Thank you for the wonderful tour of OOAT. I have never had the opportunity to off road in Arkansas, it is now on my bucket list.
Thank you. I highly recommend it.

Oh yeah. You’ll be fine in those rigs. Water levels are high in April so be sure and walk any crossing you’re unsure about.

Days 1 and 2 could be done in a Tahoe with only a few scratches. I tried to make it as full size friendly as the Ozarks would allow.
Ozark Overland Adventures it was really cool to see what those 4runners were capable of on day 4 and 5. I was impressed.

Do you have a map of the entire route? This looks awesome!
Look in the video description. The entire 5 day route is linked there. There is also a Facebook group for it called Ozark Overland Adventure Trail.
Any recommendations for a primitive campsite accessible by an easy trail or sort road around Campbell cemetery area on a stock outback?
The full route file with a bunch of possible camping spots is in the video description. There may some options in that for you.
Interested in looking at the route you took. I clicked the link for route and am having trouble opening it. What system are you navigating with? Gaia ect...
You should be able to download the GPX file and upload it to Gaia or OnX.
From what I'm hearing day 4 is the hardest. Could you do a couple of days in one if you dont have 5 days to do the whole trail in?
Eric Cassoutt day 4 is definitely the hardest. I put campsites along the route so you can run it as far as you want and be able to find a campsite whenever you want to stop.
Would a Jeep Gladiator Sport have any difficulty hitting some of these trails? The wheelbase would be my concern.
The wheelbase wouldn’t concern me. But running this on the stock tires wouldn’t be advised.

A few of the mud holes are a little bigger now.
Am I good with a 900 Polaris with original tires 26x12”?
No. Too many miles are on highways.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventuresI was more worried about deep water and clearance over big rocks
