    Need to make sure the cable is routed to the left of the frame but then ABOVE the rubber gas tank mounts. Mine was sticking on the tank even though it matched the picture Murray provides. With the bike OFF and the pods OFF take a look at the slides when the handle moves side to side. My right slide was WAY open when turning right. Video author may have actually fixed his issue by freeing the cable up from under the tank without realizing it.

    I had the same rpm issue which does not drop quickly with this same murrays kit on 1982 cb750k.
    It was not a cable routing problem or air issues but the size of pilot jet #35 too lean for the configuration of my bike, I increased it to #50 to finally obtain a stable idle and a normal behavior. I also had to change main jet to #210 and lower the needle a step because the intermediate revs were ridiculously too rich and the bike was doing brrrrbrrr, spark plugs were weet.

    What about squirting a bit of CLP, which is generally used on guns between the cable and the outer sheath so the cable will slide more easily? Clip stands for cleans, lubricate and protects.

      Same. My 82 I spent 10 hours redoing it over and over. Ran great except the slide. Misfire #4. Gas in airbox from #4. Finally a gasket failed, leaked fuel and my backfire got it on fire. Guess I'm buying a murrays now.

    where did you find your brake lever? i dropped my bike the other day and broke my shift lever so need to get new levers for my 2001 cb750 but im worried the "universal" ones on amazon that claim to fit the bike wont actually fit... have you dealt with this issue? is this possibly why you don't have the matching shift lever installed? i was looking at ordering some MZS levers similar to yours but dont want to order them if the shift lever wont fit properly.

    • @billsfabworks3188
      @billsfabworks3188  ปีที่แล้ว

      My brake setup was off of a cbr600 apparently it’s a common swap. The universal levers always give me the heeby jeebies as well but anything 7/8 inch should fit, good luck!
