Seeing all these comments from 15 years ago is crazy. I was just a kid, coming home from school to play Halo 3 on release day. I remember watching all these in my xbox 360 dashboard. Man, times were simpler.
Unlike other youtubers, I will admit my fault, when he said "there was a ceremony 5 years ago" I thought he was referring to the ceremony at the end of halo 3. I didn't notice in the intro it says 43 years.
This is a pretty great video. The scars are a nice touch, and the fact that they could find elderly actors to say words like "Brutes" or "Master Chief" or "We call it the Spiker". That's pretty impressive.
In case you still care it was outside the town of Voi near what was originally believed to be the Ark but discovered to be a forerunner portal. There was fighting along Tsavo Highway and around the perimeter of the portal after the destruction of "Crow's Nest" as the remainder of the UNSC navy prepared to destroy the key ship in order to prevent the Covenant from from activating the Halo array. And then the Flood showed up and reminded everyone why the rings existed.
i love these videos, they actually make the game look serious and have some meaning to it(besides the "i have a gun, im gunna kill" one many of us love) and i so want that music that they play
Okay something has struck my curiosity. Remember in halo 3 the had all those commercials about remembering the chief, and like believe. Well I notice on one of them they interview Lt.Niraj Shah and his active duty dates were from 2548-2573. As I recall wasn't halo 4 in 2557? In that interview they mention a funeral for the chief and how he said "no solider should be honored for doing what's expected." Curious is it possible that the cheif will finally die (Mia) or will there be another battle on earth?? Serious if you think about it. Feel like I'm the only one that has noticed that. Just wait oni is gonna show up at my front door tomorrow. Haha

Well, there was a cover-up by ONI to hide the knowledge of the Ark and the Forerunners, the fact that they don't have a body, because they literally don't have one, however ONI invented the fictional "Second Battle of New Mombasa" to cover this up.
man i have watched all 5 of these little tv spots and all the stories of how they fought when death was unstopable on the grounds just becuase the master chief was there really makes you think about never giving up hope no matter what happens
Just to make it clear, Noble team spartans were a part of the spartan 3 alpha company that that guy in ghosts of onyx took them in because of their exceptional training scores so they replaced the armor with more upgraded spartan II armor. Jorge is an exception because he is a Spartan II. Thats how it goes
At the legendary ending, it shows Master Chief floating toward some planet in a cryo tube in an unknown time in the future. He shall return... He shall return!

These actors, the whole crew, must be from the heart halo fans. I noticed the actors thumb shaking as he clinched the sniper shell. You can see how seriously he takes his acting role, as if it were actualy true. I no longer need to imagine it.
Reach was a highly secure UNSC base, almost as well defended as Earth. It was where the Pillar of Autumn launched from on its course to Halo. It's also where the final Spartans fell, according to the games.

Linda was put ino a cryo tube, and jetted into space above halo before the pillar of autumn crashed. When chief escaped the halo ring he found her cryo pod with some others and took them with him. although her injuries were grave they did save her and she was put back into active combat. She is still alive with the other remaining spartans (aside from john) inside of the micro-dyson sphere.

you read the stories he is enlisted under Navy. The whole Spartan Project was under the Navy. Almost like Spartans being US Navy seals and ODSTs being USMC Force Recon.
If they made a mocumentry on this, I think it would be fantastic, these Halo 3 "believe" commercials are just so believable to a real life event such as WW2.
yea at the end when whats his name says "its hard to believe he's dead" the arbiter replys "worried so easy" or maybe its "were it so easy" which ever one it is he is still saying he's alive.
@Halo1138 the only way it could be a .50 caliber round is from the Light Anti-Air gun on the back of a Warthog (12.7x99mm). They said it was a casing from a sniper rifle and that uses a 14.5x114mm Russian round.
i think when they're talking about his grave, they mean the monument-thing you see in the final cutscene. after all, they do assume hes dead since he didnt make it back to earth
I think hes referring to one of those cutscenes at the end of halo 3, when they have that tribute to the fallen soldiers and all that has the marking "117" on it, and the legendary spartan warriors of greek mythology.

If your talking about that cool short then those were Brutes with Spikers, shooting spikes at the marines. I think, for the budget they had of very little, they did an amazing job. Just think Transformers quality for Covenant... I would be blown away.
I lean towards this "Believe" ViDoc as the best of them all because, aside from the Enemy Weapon, it has the most emotional pull imo. If Bungie and a good hand full of Producers and a spectacular Director (Danny Boyle really popped into my mind here) pieced together these docs and brought the Halo universe alive in a trilogy, this could be a great one (hoping along the lines of LotR trilogy).
this video is another reason why microsoft and bungi finally stop fighting and make the dam halo movie, this video is so heart touching and sad, it makes u wonder when humanity will stop all this fighting and come to peace and make a monument dedicated to everyone who has died because of war and foolishness.

how the spartans trained has always been a model for how certain special forces train today, the SAS takes some of the spartan tests to use in there own, although they made them slightly less barbaric

The spartans IIIs had absolutely no contact with spartan IIs before the incident at Onyx besides with Kurt. The Alpha generation was wiped out on a mission, and same goes for Beta. The only two that survived were picked to train Gamma (a group of teens) at Onyx. No Spartan III ever set foot on Reach, because ONI wouldn't risk having the project leaked. And it's confirmed that Noble team are IIIs.
actually certain spartan 3.0's where given prototype energy shielded armor and sent in two man teams to do difficult missions. it was called project headhunters. it is very likely that noble team where at one time members of project headhunter and then later where combined into a full spartan squad rather then two man teams. halo reach barely breaks cannon especially if you have an imagination.
He actually said "No soldier should be honored for doing his job" which is just Master Chief's kick-ass way of saying that he just does what's expected. It's by no means dishonoring to veterans. It'd be the same as him saying "It's just a job"

"Halo: Reach" is based before all the human's outer colonies fell and so it couldnt continue from wher Halo 3 left off.
At the end of the game on Legendary you can see that he is kept in hibernation on the ship, "until he's needed again."

there is already one in the making. its set to be realesed in 2008-2009. but production has been temporaroly shut down due to buget issues
