  • In this first part of my two videos I present you the new BREGUET three-hands-watch. In part two you will discover the new BREGUET Marine Chronographe 5547. BREGUET has completely overlooked its Marine collection and given it a new, contemporary design. No doubt this is a BREGUET, but a very modern one, featuring as all the BREGUET watches a mechanical movement decorated and finished as one can expect from a brand like BREGUET. It is all about fine watchmaking and many, many little details. Enjoy the video!

Thank you for the presentation. So many beautiful things to comment on; The price point seems very affordable for a Breguet. The rotor and clasp sharing design cues works quite well. The coin edge of the case and embellishment of the movement are in keeping with Breguets' high standards. I must admit I was taken aback at the applied roman numerals and the rubber strap. Perhaps I would feel differently looking at it on my own wrist.

The last time I commented to a video of yours I was critical. I'm happy to say you did a great job on this one. The watches are stunning I'm so glad you picked them to present. I personally can't afford either or better put shouldn't spend that much on a watch. But I will say to those who feel the same way, the value to watching a excellent presentation like this is what you learn about style and fashion. I for one was able to connect the dots from this beautiful gold Breguet to Omega's Seasmaster Aqua Terra blue dial in Sedna gold on a rubber strap. Now I'm not going to tell you both watches are even close in horology but they do give off a similar look on the wrist. Neither is ever going to be confused with a a diver but they can go for an impromptu swim and then off to a dinner party with ease. Yes the Omega for the budget restrained would work nicely. So when you click on a review like this drink in the beauty being shown and learn and if you can't afford it look around for something that will give off a similar vid.

Robert, thank you for your thoughts and the positive feedback. All these watches are objects we should admire even when we are not able to buy them. It is the art of celebrating time in a very old fashioned but vivid way. Up to everyones personal budget I would like to state the following: 'Time is too precious to measure on a cheap watch.'
So guys, how much money you will ever invest in a good mechanical wristwatch... it is worth doing it ... Just do me one little favor: Keep your wrists free of smart watches!

JOHN DROSSIS 28.800 A/h (4 Hz), 55 hours op power reserve, -4/6 seconds per day (BREGUET does not officially communicate the daily deviation, but the watches will for sure meet or exceed the COSC requirements)

The watch with its flexible attachment of the bracelet fits very good on a wrist. My wrist is 17 cm and for me Marine looks great. Can you try the BREGUET somewhere? What I can try to do is to send you a picture on a wrist of someone having the wrist size you have. I will have to organize this but I think this should be possible... What is your wrist size?
