Thank you sir. My neighbor asked me to fix his machine with the saw blade attached. It was upside down. And the assembly parts were all in the wrong order. Never seen anybody destroy equipment like this guy. You came to the rescue! -- North Central Florida
I am a Stihl junky Have a lot of Stihl products but this blade is SHIT old school I bought two chain saw disks on Amazon and I got two cheaper then the price of a single Stihl disk The difference is day and night! Absolutely amazing ! A real game changer!
Did you set up the handle for left hand side chest harness? Or was that unintentional. I was thinking that the way you were holding it would be very tiring on the arms holding it underhand that overhand?
I just bought one today. I also own a fs 130r which at the time I didn't buy the blade adapter kit and now can't seem to buy one. I've had it for 6 years. A Stihl dealer would call me and say I found a kit but the shroud bolt pattern was not right, so I gave up and bought the 91r, so now have 2
I love TH-cam for the funny shit like this. A guy who clearly knows absolutely nothing whatsoever about brush cutters has made a video about using a brush cutter. 😂😂😂 Love it! Keep 'em coming sir.
You should try out the Forrester chainsaw blade. I went with an FS 70 and fit it with the Forrester and it cuts small trees and the weeds. I bet it would work great on the 91. It lags a bit on the 70 but comes up to speed.
Haha I had the FS38 previously and just got the FS91 as well as the same blade you have. Very happy with its performance so far and can’t wait to use it more. Great vid!
Thanks for this video, I'm looking at the FS 91 as well. I also have the FS 38 and while it's a great machine it's a not quite up to snuff for big time brush and weeds.
Using the handlebars looked very awkward. How did it feel? I've got carpal tunnel and tennis elbow in both hands/arms. Trying to find something that doesn't completely wreck my week whenever I use it.
Do you happen to have the part # for that adapter? Looking online the Stihl OE adopters I find do not list the 91r as being compatible. What is your long term opinion of that blade? I see some of the other designs are such that they can be sharpened as they dull. Thanks!
You could probably find one at an Ace hardware or any Stihl dealer. When I went in to buy my rig at Ace, they had all the accessories right there and a kiosk to look up parts.
Really liking that FS91. I have a Ryobi and a brush blade for it but it doesn't look like it works as good as this or have as much power. Nice review Roland.
Thses chisel blades are expensive . Is theer a way to adapt a standard skill saw blade to this Sthill Bush cutter. FS91 The problem is the bore on the adapter head is 25.4 mm which is much larger than the circulare hole on the skill saw blade
hi Roland, can you buy this attachment without buying the new FS91? i have an older stihl trimmer, i definetly need one of those? LiveLifeLoud, Chees and Cheeks out!
not sure if its volontary, but you're using the handles the wrong way around, they go vertically, trigger on the right, and your blade kit should have come with a smaller metal gard, that plastic one is definitly in the way of an optimal use
Did you get a real harness for it? That sling is for loop handle trimmers. If you're working long hours with it get a Stihl Advance Plus harness, then all the weight of the trimmer will rest om your hips and shoulders. Otherwise Stihl have a "simpler" harness that put the weight on your back and shoulders.
Ran mine 2 times. Already wont idle correctly and lacking power. And instructions for changing to blade were missing. I wont be getting stihl again. My echo trimmer been in use for 5 years, never had toadjusted a thing. And to top that the tools that came with it dont fit. Lmao
@@snoopfurlow1275 yup tried. Took it to thw saw guy said all the new stihl runs like that. Wont start warm and doesnt like being used in heat over 95. We returned it got an Echo, 0 issues

Can you send the link
Str8 up bro… give up the sellers name so we know who to buy from.
Was out back yestarday with the Forester chain saw tooth blades on my new 91. Thing is a beast. Cutting through 2" and 3" scrub trees no problem.
Heck ya!
I enjoy your demeaner as much as the video. Great content.
I have never seen someone use a bike handle brush cutter the way you do.
Lol 😆🤣 I corrected that. Thanks for the laugh !

Yes but I learned and I know now. I know it was funny. I'll take that. The handle was all wrong. Not afraid to put myself out there and learn.
Thankyou. I was thinking I needed a special tool to remove the head. Very good.
I love the 3 blade brush cutter on mine
You are missing the metal safety guard made specifically for the woodcutter blade.
Nice stihl collection...the 91r looks sturdy. I wish stihl would make a chipper/shredder to turn those tree limbs to mulch...

I had them mounted wrong lol

That's interesting how you have your handle flipped like that
great demo video Roland... i need something like that at my place for keeping the yard cleared off
Hi there, it works amazing. I'm happy with it.
Thanks for the video!! Great information! Getting ready to use mine to cut some trails!!
question: did the blade cup come in the tool bag with your FS91 or did you have to buy it seperately?
nice looking machine by the way.
Cheers
The cup came in the bag with it. Have a good day!
@@GettingItDoneRepairs Thanks.
Thank you both for asking this question and answering! I searched whole internet to find the answer:)
oh man you were being SOOO gentle with that thing!! crank that shit n get in there boy!!
Lol
You make it look easy.

I just bought this model and now I’m scared I made a mistake. Can I put a hedge trimmer attachment on it?
I don't think so

I don't think that would be safe

What size of trimmer do you have and is it a straight shaft?
Fantastic Demo,,thankyou for sharing my friend
Thanks for the visit
Thank you Sir! Your video was a great help!
You're welcome!
Very nice and best information content. thanks for shering.
I want to purchase one, but there's no one in my area (Maryland).
Very informative video thank you for posting.

No I didn't. I don't put a lot of time on it.
Bro you put the bars up 😂😂😂
Yep
Great video
Nice 1 Brotha
Can I have the Stihl FS 38
Finally got the blade on, that things a mini brush hog
I know it rocks!
I have the same brush cutter but i have a full body harness from Stihl
That full body harness would be great!
you turned the handlebars backwards
yep figured that out quick lol
You put the handle bars on backwards
I sure did lol. All straightened out.
@@GettingItDoneRepairs after i thought about it idk it may feel better the way you had it ? How did it feel backwards?
I will try to do it with woodglut plans.
