    Removing a Honda crank bolt is the ultimate test. Those bolts are tightened by the hand of Zeus himself

      Ir ti and a flameles torche took 1 minute. But that's after i broke a 1/2 breaker using a 8' cheater, a 1.5 foot extention, and 19mm impact socket actually exploded. Made a nice bang/pop.

      ***** Haha nice :) My brother had a ZX-14 for quite a while....his license plate said "Bye-busa" or something like that.....a brand new ZX-14 + a power commander + pipes = the fastest thing with a license plate (for a while anyway) ;)

      ***** I Have a Ducati 1198 S with full exhaust and that's it. I reached 186mph but the speedometer stops reading any higher but the rpms kept climbing so I know it goes faster than that. And now the Ducati 1299 has 205hp on their baseline Panigale. I am going to wait a year or two to see what their special models like a Corse comes out, then I'll pick that up. I can't wait. That much power and it weighs under 400lbs wet. Dry weight is probably 360ish. Talk about a pocket rocket! As far as I am concerned it is the ultimate street superbike.

    I bought this IR W7150 cordless thanks to REAL TOOL REVIEW, I work as a diesel mechanic on Buses and the W7150 Has the POWER! , I have used it on removing Radius Rods, Spiders, 30mm caliper bolts etc. what I have Not used it on, are on the lug nuts on the bus just for the fact that we "at the shop" have a 1" impact gun which we over torque the tires , when the real torque should be 550 ft lbs so besides that I love this gun every old timer at the shop couldn't believe the power of this gun just because its quiet and cordless , it also holds it charge and chargers lightening fast. no dealing with air hoses , unfiltered dirty shop air and lubricating . and since its cordless I take it home and use it on my car suspension excellent piece of equipment

    For anybody watching this in 2023! The Ingersoll rand W 7150 has been replaced! You still may be able to find this from distributors but, it will not be worth the investment. In 2018 Ingersoll, rand released the second generation high torque impact in the W 71,52. This model comes equipped with a 360° LED ring light, adjustable forward settings, brushless motor, and has a redesigned housing and grip. It is accompanied by its bigger brother the Ingersoll ran W 7172, which is the 3/4 inch version. You can get these with extended anvils as well. in addition, these kits no longer come with the blow mold case because it has been replaced by the TB5 tool bag. Finally, the charger has been updated to charge both the 20 V and 12 V batteries.

    I was thinking of buying one. Thanks for your demonstration. I'm definitely going to get one now. I've read reviews on a lot cheaper ones and they put out just a fraction of the torque and don't last very long. Thanks for letting us know that the gun won't fit in the case right with the protective boot on. I decided to get the one with two batteries and the protective boot. I'm planning on buying it from Amazon. It's about half the list price there,46% off. The one with the extra battery is only around $65 more. A new battery alone is around $128.

      This is Gary again. I got the W 7150-K2. I haven't got to use it yet but I have a 95 Ranger that I'm selling and have at least one wheel I got to take off to replace a tire. My impact WILL fit in the case with the protective boot on. With the impact seated fully in the bottom of the case there's about a one inch gap at the front. I just have to push down and hold the front right side closed while I snap the latches down. I had to do some trimming on side vent holes on the protective boot. The openings were cut slightly too far forward or back and at a slight angle blocking some of the areas of the vents on the impact. I surely didn't want

      @Bagman57 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gary T. Gary again. Sorry I accidentally hit send on the last post. As I was saying I didn't want to burn up my new impact. Also the cases that the tools and sockets come in are a little too big. They take up a lot of space. I'm also getting the D5140 1/2" drill too. I like that I can use the same battery on both.

    Hey dcm I need your honest opinion wich gun would you perfer for automotive use between this one and the m 18 fuel I am haveing a hard tine choseing and I need one because my snap on cordless just gave out on me out of warranty

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would depend on the other tools in the battery platform that you would want to expand into later. I would suggest looking at the M18 lineup & the IQv20 lineup to see what else you would want to buy later. The batteries & chargers are a huge expense & if you can buy some "bare tools" later on, you will save a lot of cash. Both are extremely powerful & its about 50/50 when I show auto-techs them both in person, one will like the IR more & the other will like the Milwaukee more.

    • @oscardiaz6361
      @oscardiaz6361 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would end up buying a 3/8 and 1/4 inch impact and maby a 1/4 air ratchet witch one do you think has a better line up? Sorry about all the question but I want to ask someone with a unbias opinion

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oscar Diaz Well, it sounds like you will be buying tools in the 12 volt lineup & an 18/20 volt lineup. If thats the case, you could go with IR with one set & Milwaukee with the other. It really would boil down to personal preference, but I know both companies make very good tools. I have reviewed the IR 1/4" impact if you want to check out that review....I REALLY like it & the batteries last an extremely long time.

    Lucky dog you have the two best high torque impact on the market to play with I would kill to have one or the other :-P but since you have the two how bout a little competition I'm sure you can come up with a few test ;-)

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol....well I will definitely agree that the W7150 & 2763 are the top dogs in cordless 1/2" impacts :) If I can come up with a reasonably fair comparison test, I will think about it....but I have yet to find one fastener that one couldnt remove & the other could. They both have an extreme amount of power, and are great tools.
      As far as runtime goes, it would be unfair in a video...simply because the 2763 has a 4.0 amp hour battery & the W7150 has a 3.0 amp hour.....so due to the lower capacity, it will discharge faster.....but on the other hand, it will charge faster....so who "wins"? Thats the worst part about comparison videos, they are typically steered one way or the other (even if unintentionally).

    I tried it on 2 Hondas that have never had the crank bolt taken off before with full battery power and it failed, this gun is still bad ass and has a lot of power but the Honda crank bolt wont come off with any 1/2 drive gun unless its been removed before. Ive only seen a 3/4 gun do it. Or the Honda holding tool and a very big breaker bar or a long pipe. Ive been a technician for 30+ years and worked at Honda for 5 of those years. Still a great tool
    Thanks
    Howie

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Howie Walton I agree......there are some bolts out there than nothing will remove.....on average though --- MOST impacts cannot remove any Honda crank bolts.....the W7150 popped two off in this video with ease.

      Gold63Beast You should see the new IR 2235tiMAX2....it puts this to shame (power-wise).....it puts out 1,350 ft-lbs of nutbusting reverse torque! The W7150 has 1,100 ft-lbs reverse nutbusting torque :)

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes...that is the most powerful 1/2" impact there is......and you are correct, it is pneumatic (air) powered. I assume battery power will get there before too long, but for now the 2235 is king.

    I disagree with cutting the case. I keep the boot on mine and the case shuts. As long as you push the gun firmly into the tray portion, the top will shut and lock without any distortion to the case or damage to the boot.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried that initially, but it was putting way too much pressure on the hinges themselves, and I was afraid that it would end up breaking them, since that would be the weakest link on the case itself. If your case wasnt doing that though, I am glad to hear you got it to work without modifying it. Thanks for the reply!

    awesome video! I'm looking to get either this impact or Milwaukee's. from the comparison of the two and rest of ur videos the Milwaukee seems to be slightly better. I don't know still what would be my best pick. I'm leaning towards Milwaukee because I couldn't use the same battery for other tools or buy a impact just the tool itself? I'm not sure if it's in the same line as the rest of their products that can interchange batteries. can I do that with the IR? which one do you think would handle longer constant use? sorry for all the questions, any advice will help! Thanks!

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Arthur Garcia All of the brands can use the same batteries on other tools in those lineups. With the exception of IR....the W7150 will only work with the high capacity packs (3.0ah & 5.0ah).....the compact packs will not power the W7150.

      They are both very good impacts.....the share the top spot as far as power goes. I honestly think it would boil down to personal preference & which tool line has other compatible tools with what you are looking for. The IR has the IQv20 line that is compatible with batteries/chargers.....and Milwaukee has the M18 line. Each company caters to a different crowd, so just check out the other tools & see how you would want to expand later. Both are excellent impacts.

    Cool review, when it come time to replace the battery would the cost of the battery almost equal to the coast of replacing the whole set?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! And nope, a battery for this costs around $125 I think....so it would not make sense to junk the whole thing later when/if you had battery issues (out of warranty). I do know that IR is keeping the IQv20 battery platform & is not changing it anytime soon....I specifically asked them about that & they said there are no plans to change it. So, finding batteries down the line shouldnt be an issue.

    1 bar isn't 25% power it's 25% capacity and with lithium ion they give pretty much the same "power" all the way through there capacity except when they die its pretty instant

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep thats right, 25% capacity....aka 25% power remaining, sorry if it came across the wrong way. I did mention that the lithium battery provides the same power output from start to finish...thanks for commenting!

      dmcguinn1 I wasn't saying it as if you didn't know I just said it because you mentioned it only had 1 bar left and still removed that bolt with ease and like you said same power all through its charge so that wouldn't matter

      The W7150 has a brushed motor which is serviceable (replaceable brushes). The brushless technology is relatively new, and as far as I know is not a serviceable motor. This particular impact has been out for over 2 years & I have not read anything online about the power/motor life having issues due to brushes wearing out.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cameron Grady It's up in the air about 50/50 with all the mechanics that I have shown them to. Boils down to personal preference & which battery lineup that people want to go with. They are tied with power levels.

    • @camerongrady580
      @camerongrady580 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      dmcguinn1 Understandable... I haven't invested in a battery system yet, so I guess I'm looking at the bigger picture here as well. It wasn't until VERY recently that I've taken these cordless 1/2" impact systems seriously... There are things I like about both systems, but I do feel I am leaning toward the IR. I also like both their 12 & 20v 3/8" drive impact wrenches (from the specs/vids I've seen) Which one (of the two 1/2" options) was your personal favorite in actual use?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Cameron Grady Well I think you are going to be pleasantly surprised with either of them. For me, it depends on what else I am working on & what other tools I am using.....I hate having to carry around multiple types of batteries. The feel/balance isnt as noticeable to me as it is to some, and I think they are both very good/well made impacts.

    M18 and ir tool fight would be good

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      If I could find a way to fairly make one, I would try.....the problem is finding materials/fasteners that are consistent (for example.....wood --- you cannot install a lagbolt the same speed because of the wood grain, hidden knots inside, etc).

    • @neezardehni8799
      @neezardehni8799 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point, why dont you try tightening a nut onto a bolt with each gun, as tight as possible, and then measure wich one has more torque then you could check which one has more nut busting torque and also a runtime challenge, that would be good.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      neezar dehni
      Well I tried that already, with the 2763 I wanted to see how tight it could make the nut on the trailer ball (1" shank & 1 1/2" nut) & it literally made it so tight it fused the threads together & when I removed it with the W7150, the threads all stripped off. Milwaukee told me that the larger the fastener, the tighter it would make it.
      As far as runtime goes, the 2763 has a 4.0 amp hour battery & the W7150 has a 3.0 amp hour.....so I think the runtime would be longer with the Milwaukee, but the re-charge time would be faster with the Ingersoll Rand.
      This is pretty much why I haven't done a comparison test, since first of all I cant show which would be more powerful (if either) and second, with the different battery capacities it would not be fair as far as runtime goes.
      With these two impacts, it really boils down to personal preference I believe. When I show one mechanic them, they will like the IR more.....then the next mechanic likes the Milwaukee more. Both of them are excellent impacts.

    • @angelisone
      @angelisone 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Real Tool Reviews That was a fair statement. But you work on equipment & vehicles, right?
      When was the last time you've stripped the stick shift car?
      My question is very common that many people would want to know rather than buying a battery for as high as $200.00.
      If one has this impact, most likely he or she knows basic electricity.
      And know how to work on equipment.
      Heck, you & I know not short out a 12v car battery.
      Nor would I shave my legs in the bathtub with an AC razor.
      Any site that will show us how to DIY on IR that you know of?

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      angelisone There is a lot more to soldering batteries in place than "basic electricity". Like I said, some people do it.....I am not one of them. A 12v lead car battery & high-powered lithium cells are not the same by any means, and are very dangerous if you are not extremely experienced & safe when handling them.
      I would imagine that there are TH-cam videos showing you how to do this, but none I would feel comfortable doing.

    Nice demonstration young man, I wish I could invite you over to loose a couple of nuts in my semi-tractor. I bet your fabulous tool would run out of charge before it even warm up a bolt. I own myself one that is rated at 900lf forward and 1100lf reverse. The specs for the wheel lugs on my semi are 480lf and for the main bolts on the frame is about 900lf... Let me tell you, if those lugs could talk they would be giggling at my very "Powerful" gun. It uses only the standard 90psi to operate and it doesn't even come close to loose anything. Im am plain tired and I find ridiculous whenever I see the newest "nut busting", "big torque", "lose everything" impact wrenches on the market.

    • @RealToolReviews
      @RealToolReviews  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Luis Gonzalez It would appear that you have faulty equipment, you are not using it correctly, or whomever installed your lugnuts did not torque them correctly. You need 90SPI working pressure (meaning 90psi when the trigger is wide open....not when you are just pressurizing the lines prior to using your tools). Secondly, any fastener takes more torque to remove it than it takes to install it after any period of time goes by.....corrosion, salt, dirt, etc gets into the threads & this is why you can see a 250-lb guy standing on a breaker bar and not loosen the lugnuts on his F150. I am sorry that you have had bad experiences with impacts, but I would assume that there is more going on than you realize if this is a consistent problem you are having.

    • @LuisGonzalez-ds2qo
      @LuisGonzalez-ds2qo 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Real Tool Reviews I already knew that, I know 2 or 2000 things about tools. What I use for those lugs/nuts is a 1 inch, 2400 lf torque and it does the job. And if anyone ever comes up with a CORDLESS gun that can loose the 10 lugnuts in a single tire on my semi (it has 18)... IM IN!!!
