I can actually do checkerboard solving at the same speed as my normal solve time, that being said, my normal solve time is between 40-50 seconds, with checkerboard being around 45-55 seconds. It is something I did a lot though, pretty much for as long as I have known how to solve a cube

haha omg that's a really confusing but fun challenge :D I'm still new to cubing and still training to memorize the algs for 2-Look-OLL & 2-Look-PLL so it took me 2m 36s to do a regular solve with looking up the needed algs. The checkerboard solve on the other hand took me 14m 42s because I screwed up so many times xD

When he tried his 1st attempt on solving F2L, then checkerboarding it, he almost got faster than my PB normally

This is how I solve cubes into cool patterns when I don't know the algorithms to create those patterns lol

Nice job! could you try this but superflip it next?

You should solve a 5x5 into a checkerboard pattern! (Btw love ur vids)

I like this idea, but instead of a checkerboard I’d like to see other patterns like a superflip.

Actually I did something very similar with some friends at a weekend away, we had like 10 different cubes, so we had someone scramble 2 cubes into the exact same position (so we can view all angles easily). And started solving for a random position from a different scramble

Checkerboard is so cool, I'll store the cube in checkerboard sometimes now

1:13.13 My normal solving time is about 50 seconds, so not too much slower. I don't have a speedcube, plus I can't do the Last Layer solve (2-look OLL and PLL) yet, though I'm trying to learn it. Nice video. Love your channel

yay i was able to do this by myself since it really is simple, just swap the white cross as yellow and move to opposite side, get f2l dorners good but the edges from the other side, oll is normal and also pll, then do h perm
