I have always followed the mentality of "don't like something about your life, then change it" and good on you for making a positive change. I was a front-line nurse for 10 years and just like you I couldn't handle the night shifts anymore. I had the exact same issues as you with sleep issues, mood and general well-being. Night shifts are so bad for your health and longevity so I too had to make a change. I found a nursing coordinator job that's straight days and wow, what a change! Plus, not working 12hr shifts makes training much more consistent as I can work out every day.

Thank you for your hard work on the front lines Ryan! Can’t imagine what you went through as a nurse that’s no easy job. Thanks for sharing that with me by the way it’s definitely reassuring to hear other’s experiences and that I’m not alone in this matter. Congratulations on finding a position that still related to nursing and that are straight days that’s a huge win! The job I work for are in progress of helping me find a day shift position which is couldn’t be more grateful for they’re help.

Congrats on the change - gotta put your physical and mental health first. You've been killing it this season. Can't wait to see what you can do with a consistent schedule and recovery. Get some!

Thanks MisterMcMonty! Really appreciate that. Funny I didn’t even think about my performance potentially increasing because I’m no longer on nights. Guess we will find out in Finland haha
      Hope you’re having a great season 💪🏾
