      They can feature me if they run out of pros. I usually start with a bacon sandwich and a bit of TV. I may walk to the shops at some point for a mars bar. If I'm feeling motivated I'll smash out a 5k in just under 35 minutes. I'm not even sponsored if you can believe that.

    Better nutrition than the previous video, but still poor for an elite endurance athlete with such a high training volume. There is a noticeable lack of protein, insufficient meal frequency, underfuelling and a general carelessness that is shocking for someone who has been so successful in the sport. Perhaps investing in a personal chef or dietician who can properly calculate your macros including your immense calorie expenditure so that you are eating enough to perform well at every session, to prevent injury, and to promote longevity in the sport by increasing your muscle mass. Your diet isn't good which is why you have nutritional deficiencies, grey hair and wrinkles at such a young age despite being an elite athlete with an otherwise healthy lifestyle. All the best, still time to improve and make changes before Paris!

    • @neilfox9540

      @@neilfox9540 thanks for the compliment. If he gets to Paris and doesn't win gold, he'll be disappointed. Better to refine things now than get there and underperform. Easy to change microwave meals to home cooked, nutrient dense food rich in protein.

    Presumably a promo as that diet is pretty poor. Alo shocked that todays athletes are still consuming such vast quantities of carbs as percentage of macros. Theres much evidence to suggest this is why so many endurance athletes suffer from heart disease, heart attacks and diabetes and much higher than normal in later life. They consume such vast quantities of carbs for such a long time and likey keep up that habit later in life also. More fat and protein is the way forward (also contains more nutrients, typically animal foods) with only enough carbs to sustain workouts (much lower than people think).

    • @joshyaxley1198
      @joshyaxley1198 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      literally zero evidence behind endurance athletes carbs and heart issues. Cardio issues arrive cos the heart like any muscle grows and can become too big, so actually causes issues with pumping blood around the body. 'So many' wouldn't say that either, but i am sure you have the qualifications to tell people you know best.

    • @ln5747
      @ln5747 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@joshyaxley1198 ah good old credentialism. Where did I say I know best? I gave my opinion. You didn't like it.
      And to say there is no evidence is absolutely daft. There is considerable evidence (which isn't proof of course) that high carb causes huge issues to people's health, if you aren't aware of it that's your issue. High carb consumption/low fat/low meat etc has a significant correlation with cardiovascular disease. Paul Lauren has done research and argued about how elite Endurance athletes can be fit but unhealthy (an observation i have seen and makes sense) through insulin resistance and inflammation. Redgrave is an example, developed Type 2 diabetes (now moving towards being seen as a lifestyle disease, which it is I believe, not genetic). He said his diet was huge in carbs and sugar.
      Peter Attia is also famous for his work on insulin resistance among athletes.
      Perhaps the most famous of all Tim Noakes, a Comrades Endurance runner, diabetic and world leading sports scientist. Oh and the guy who helped to develop the carb gel and of course now says they're terrible.
      Athletes are now understanding the benefits of CGMs.
      High fat, high protein, low carb is the way forward. Do as you wish, doesn't bother me. But try not to be as close minded and ignorant.
      Yea zero evidence.

    • @joshyaxley1198
      @joshyaxley1198 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ln5747 I surprisingly know all of that, I was pointing out that you indicated that a high carb diet causes issues with the heart, which from the research it doesn’t.
      I don’t disagree with long term affects of a high carb/sugar diet, I listen to a lot of Attia’s work and agree with that & all of what you said about its relationship with type 2 diabetes etc…
      Just pointing out high carb & heart issues aren’t directly related for endurance athletes, is a bit more compact than that, which is what to me it seemed you indicated.

    • @ln5747
      @ln5747 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@joshyaxley1198 because I believe it's all essentially related and arises from insulin resistance on the most part. Which comes from carbs/sugars in the diet. I believe in 20 years athletes will not be eating anything like they do now and I'm surprised they still are. They think because they're fit, they're healthy. They aren't unhealthy as such compared to much of the population, but they aren't optimal and I believe the extreme carb consumption is causing issues which may only manifest later.
