Thanks for your in-depth process of creating a starlapse with the QooCam 3.
The interval between shots looks as long as the shots. 1 minute expose followed by a 1 minute gap. Is there anyway to reduce this gap?
They need to add feature to turn off the screen when taking nighttime shots. Although pointing the screen at the stars reduced the issue I bet there is a difference if you covered with black tape.
The AI did an amazing job at reducing noise, but I think I would still take some dark frames. Screen off to taped and camera in lighttight bag. At least 4 frames. Average them. Then use these to remove the noise out of the rest of the shots.

I choose the minimum interval gap. But notice, saving the Raw file to SD card does take time.

I appreciate you technique on dark frames. That is so-called dark current compensation.

@@YuqingGuo I am guessing that during the saving process the next shot is attempted but fails. Then has to wait until next attempt to actually take next shot. The time stamps on the original files should tell you the number of seconds between shots. Trying a time lapse of 1 second every second should determine how much time is needed to save the files then give 30% margins to never fail and skip.

Thank you for sharing. In the last section you said you used an interval of 1 second and only 119 images were taken, is that correct? Or a genuine mistake. Thanks

Thank you so much dear friend for your always interesting rws.
As you know, I'm only interested in photography, and I'm disappointed with this new QC3 vs previous QC8k for action and vr photos.
    I`ll appreciate your comments ...
    nice arm
