I love watching your videos. Not only that they are entertaining and well put, they are also educational for insta 360 camera beginners like me. More power on your channel.
We are still discovering all possibilities of our 360 insta, but are already pleased by the results 5:53 , but these tips will help us even more. Thanks!
omg I'm so glad I run into this video. Thank you so much for your precious tips and tricks. I wish I found your channel earlier. From now on I'll have better insta360 videos for my channel thanks to you. Quick question, what should my camera setting be to have clear video in the dark with less grain? thank you.
Thanks, I’m still learning I only have iPhone and iPad Pro for editing do I really need computer for editing? I only want simple way it the editing is getting a complication on my part. I still need more tutorials to watch before I give up on my insta360 x3. Thanks for the tutorials
This is super helpful! I was wondering if I have to select the setting before I start shooting, or can I choose the setting later? For example if I want to do hyperlapse or freeze frame, do I have to select it prior to shooting? Or Can I select it after when editing?
Great instructional video. I'm really hesitant in buying the Insta 360 but I am afraid that my PC is a little outdated to edit the 8K footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. What PC minimum requirements do you recommend? Currently I have Intel Core i7 9750H, 16GB RAM and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Cinema in the early days had the problem of HUGE cameras. They even had to dig pits in the ground to get the camera low enough for low angle shots haha.
Really enjoying your video's Ben..... What I think would be a great future video is combining Insta360 video's with say Mini 3 pro video's to make a product.... I imagine you already do this, some tips would be terrific...
Please make tutorial on how to do sky swap. How did you go about replacing the sky 360 degrees like that? Ive replaced the sky with normal video but never a 360 video while rotating like that
@@BenClaremont thank you! I figured it out. I didnt realize its one of the preset things. its too bad those presets werent longer. I hate how they are all so short.
I’m trying to record 360 videos to view in VR. Is this mostly for flat videos? I have the insta360 X (which I know it’s a bit outdated) and my videos don’t look sharp what so ever 😢
What phone do you use to edit your videos? The phone I have, although it exceeds the minimum system requirements that insta360 has listed on their site for the app. It still stutters and lags so bad that it's completely unusable. And comically enough I don't have a PC that can run the software. Hoping I can upgrade my phone to something that's capable of editing these videos. Any thoughts you have on my situation would be greatly appreciated!
If there is a setting to add front and rear camera photos separately. So you will not have to move away from the camera while taking 360 images. When away from the camera, the camera falls off and the lens gets damaged.
watched many of your vids and have found your work useful. that being said, most 360 cams have perfect stabilization? the massive numbers of X3 owners complaining and returning their cameras seem to be evidence against that thought. I apprecieate the amount of stabilization the camera DOES do but footsteps have made many an enemy out of hopeful X3 purchasers. footage online did not prepare me for the disappointment.
Honestly those people didn’t bother to learn how to use the camera properly. The stabilization is perfect, but that still won’t fix reckless camera work. I cover this in depth in my 360 Video 101 course in the description 👍🏻
wonderful tutorial. Whenever you are coming to india. Just Come to Himachal Pradesh. I Live in Bir_Billing, Best second paragliding site in the world. We can have wonderful paragliding experience and wonderful landscape as well. however I am following your videos as iam lear ing insta x3 as i am owing one and want to explore Himachal Pradesh through Blogging. Excellent video! But why does nobody ever mentions the advantages/disadvantages with respect to holding the camera? Meaning: Recording with the lenses facing up and down (or front and back) or sideways left and right? Only one reviewer recommended facing the lenses towards you when recording yourself. This will avoid the stitching line you will see in your face if you had positioned the lenses sideways. I guess there are many more instances where it matters how to hold the camera. Great if you could elaborate.
To be fair, since you show a clip of Citizen Kane, Olson Welles in Touch of Evil gives a masterclass with the one continues 3 minute tracking shot in the opening scene. But no doubt people have the attention span of a nat today. Imagine what Welles would do with an Insta360 camera.
Has anyone figured out how to use the extended selfie stick (9 ft one) hands-free? Is there an accessory for that? Don't want it to look like I'm holding my arm up awkwardly in 'drone-like' shots. Thank you!
I screw in the tripod at the base and hold it just above at the handle. Basically you want to try to balance out the weight on both ends as much as possible
Question: I know you only do tiny planets how come you don’t make 360 video I mean show how do it on TH-cam show how easy to set up?? just saying we never gone beyond 2d format.. just swish there was more just to show how powerful 360 video is
Hey- I actually do so much more than just tiny planets 😁 that said I understand your question- I think you’re referring to interactive 360 video for VR? I don’t do it much as reframed content gets far higher engagement than VR content. That said, I do love the immersive medium and will be making more of it in the future (as well as tutorials covering it).
@@BenClaremont that’s why I said it.. hehe but just thinking I mean TH-cam took out VR mode that’s reason I said that.. I mean I wish people use 360 videos more and encourage to learn that they can use iPhone to tablets in TH-cam 360 to scroll around because I mean we in 2023 should we be pass flat mode format already? That’s the thing it’s sad really how slow filming is in advancement and no one really pushing it..
Hey Ben, i have watched a bunch of your videos as a new insta 360 x3 owner, i would have benefited greatly by your course but $150 is just too much, after spending $600 on the camera and extras who has anther $150 sitting around. I know your time is valuable but I was guessing the course was going to be $50 or something. JMO. Larry
Hi Larry, we have nearly 500 students already- if price is an issue then I’d suggest joining my email list to be notified about my upcoming Black Friday sale 👍🏻
Sorry but my style is my style and I’m not going to make the video much longer than it needs to be by keeping all the filler words and silences in the video.
Place objects in centre??? Since when that is the good advice? No movie that's fair enough never had omitted the basic rule of placing interest on crossing the lines of thirds... Not even one.

Hi Ben, is your course video edited on a Mac ? Which laptop do you edit your 360 videos? I'm looking to buy one, not a Mac person. Any advice? Thanks

No as it would be a nightmare to stitch a video that is out of sync on either side. You can just use a weighted monopod instead 👍🏻
I love adult video too

I’ve said that many times in many videos- but I can’t say it in every one. This one is about cinematic techniques as opposed to beginner tips.
