Im definitely looking into an airbrush video with before and after, and probably another with airbrush and traditional makeup side by side. So, keep watching!
EnKore is always so informative, researched, and has all the technical stuff you need to know without all the time wasting flare. Love him!!!
hey Jojo - yep, eventually, I will have quick demos on how to apply airbush makeup to certain parts of the face. So definitely keep watching.
hey Neatz - Thanks! and yes there will be more on airbrushing. So definitely keep watching.
im definitely looking into that as soon as I get back. So keep watchin!
I got the compressor for $120 at Dixie Art when they were having a sale. The prices there are cheaper than most other suppliers.
airbrush makeup formulation are designed to last longer than most other makeup, so thats why airbrush makeup is prefered. It is completely safe to use.
yes, there are bottom-feed airbrush guns that are more commonly used in spray tanning.
hey superha - yeah, most toners will thin out the product as the phbalancer on most toners will counter some of the ingredients in the foundation. Its best to just use a mixing medium.
hehe it will be a comin! so keep watchin!
Koren, thanks so much for the compressor information. I purchased the Iwata SmartJet and have been really happy with it!
wow! thank you! i live in a humid part of the south...(houston), and i race RC airplanes, and i have JUST started doing custom paintjobs on them, i had no idea that i needed a coiled hose! awesome vids, keep em coming!
their GUN and compressor are by IWATA - so yes, but you can get those systems of same brand cheaper from art supplies stores like DixieArt.
Thank you! that was exactly what I needed!!
I found an air compressor at harbor freight tools for $65 and has an airbrush holder...( I didn't know what it was until i watched your video) It has the same suction cups like yours, the coiled hose the moister trap and the pressure gauge, and a handle... it only goes to 30 PSI and it does not have an auto shut off... , but I think it is a good buy!
Thanks again you are a great teacher!!!
for a personal system, its not bad. Again, its expensive! and you cant adjust the airflow for other application like eyeshadow, liner, lip color if you choose to AB those as well.
Omg thank you so much I am so happy you took the time to make a video explaining how a compressor works, I found it very helpful
most of those systems are super expensive, and you can get better results from just regular compressors. If you're looking for something like a personal unit, Iwata have the SILVER jet that a bit more comparable to those being advertised on TV and such. If price is not a matter, Kett, Temptu, Dinair, and Luminess all have personal size systems youc an check out.
EnKore you did an excellent job explaining this airbrush compressor. I have the same compressor and I love it. Thanks
hey merry - yes the SILVER jet is more designed for that purpose.
great review, thanks for putting this up! I'm interested in the smartjet for painting plastic models, and I think this will do quite nicely. Whether it's makeup or gundam kits, it's so awesome to have a hobby you're passionate about... keep doin your thing man!
absolutely nice breakdown video. took too long at the begining but you got into the compressor's features and benefits and i'll give you an A+.
thanks.
you dont want to use more than 15-18 psi, and for other various areas of the face, it can vary fro 3psi to 15 psi. So low psi is ideal.
Hey thank you for going through all the bells and whistles some great suggestions, also a great compresor for hobby work model kits miniatures etc.
hey sass - not at all, a lot of people do airbrush on their own face, and most personal systems are geared for that purpose. Foundation application is pretty easy, its the eye shading, and eye lining that can get pretty tricky when doing to one's self :) But practice always makes perfect :)
Thank you for this video, b/c I have been thinking about purchasing an airbrushing kit and had no clue where to start. Thank you so much for the informative video! Hopefully I will save enough to get this compressor you recommended.
hey man! I've made my own with a refrigerator pomp. your guide helped me to improve my own. thx man!
I was nervous about purchasing this because it looked so difficult but I am going to buy this now!
hey superha - definitely Temptu S/B makeup line.
hey monstermash - MAC airbrushes are by Iwata, although MAC prices are pretty high and you can get better prices on airbrush equipment some place else.
Thanks EnKoreMakeup! I am actually looking for a better compressor for my scale model building painting. I don't do make up LOL! But this video was VERY WELL executed and informative! I am going to order this AC as well as the Iwata airbrush! Thanks for the info! You're GREAT at presentation and should continue!
absolutely!
Koren, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us! Your videos are articulate and informing. ;)
I learned a lot from this vid. I just bought this air compressor. you gave me the deatails I was looking for. thanks!
Excellent video. It is exactly what I needed.
Thanks for your tips. I have bought one compressor and don't know how to use. I will watch yours videos before to use.
Thank you so much Enriko for this video even old but still very usefull!
as I got the TC2000 compressor form Su-Do and just using it for tanning but really looking forward to use with Dinair products. I was struggled with the pressor...Well done! xxx
I hope you realize you just saved me 3 hours of research and $300... Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Very informative! Thank you for making these!
holy shit!!! this guy is truly a character!!!
thank you so much man. great video. I got the compressor but had no idea how to hook it up. thank again :)
wow your the best i have seen here. i am looking forward to learning more from you!
Ok so i got the pressure thing fixed. lol I love it and thank you for everything.
OMG!!!! all the stars in the world for u !!!!!i loved it!
No, you will need the air compressor as that is the source of compressed air which is what you need to make the Airbrush work.
hi enkore.. i was wondering if you could do a look using airbrush makeup. i am very intrigued about airbrush eye makeup with mascara
thank for this video because it really helped me alot to buy pick one out,,,, but is the compressor a plug in
Hello Koren,
I love your videos! I was wondering... I am not a professional makeup artist, and only do my own makeup. Can you recommend a smaller compressor/airbrush makeup system for home use? There are many available on-line, but I wasn't sure if they were reliable. Thanks for the information!
Wow! Thanks for the information! One last question... do you prefer the Iwata Silver or the Luminess, or are there comparable?
Your new entrance music reminds me of Mario Karts or what not. I love it! :D
Hi Koren! I'm really interested on getting an airbrush gun and compressor. I was just wondering if you can show how to use the airbrush gun? With liquid foundation, etc. Thanks! You're like a big book of knowledge...Thanks for sharing with all of us!
I love all the info on airbrush. How did you learn how to airbrush? I want to learn.
This and the last video on the gun were sooo helpful!! I've been looking for info on air brushes for painting and your vids have honestly been the most helpful!! I never even thought of using it for makeup. I do have one question, is it had to airbrush your own face?? Thank you again!! Awesome Vid!!! :)
Hi Koren!
Thanks for all your wonderful videos!
In light of your new airbrushing video series, I've been seriously considering purchasing an airbrush system. I had a hard time picturing myself taking the smart jet when travelling. So, I started looking for other compressors. Iwata has come out with a new compressor called the Ninja Jet. It's smaller and quieter. I was hoping you could take a look at the features for me and let me know what you think. If it's ideal for makeup etc...
Very informative! You are the best!
Just bought the Iwata Silver Jet compressor and I LOOOOVE it! Do you have an opinion on the best airbrush make-up to use with it? Presently I'm using water-based liquid foundation thinned out with toner..looking into temp-tu and kett but I feel it's too watery...your thoughts?
Thank you for your ver informative video. I just recently bought my Iwata Smart Jet but i cant seem to decrese my pressure. I noticed that yours have a nob to the side under the glass moisture glass thing that u can turn to adjust the pressure. But mine does not have that. Is it something i have to get? Right now it is set one 45 PSI.
awesome, thansk for the video!
what do you think of the MAC air brushes?
I really enjoy your video on airbrush! so usefull (:
Hi, I've really been enjoying your videos! I'm thinking the gun should be the best quality but do you think it's very important to have an Iwata brand compressor? I'm finding lots of other brands on Amazon from TCP Global and some Depot place. Appreciate your thoughts :)
very useful video and thank you for the pricing info !!
Hi Koren... thanks for all the videos.... I just recieved my smart jet compressor but for some reason the adjustment knob for the PSI is on the buttom of my compressor and I see that yours is on the side... do you know what the difference is? is there newer and older version of the compressor? thanks
Thanx for the feedback! Do you not recommend using liquid foundation with toner to thin it out? I'm presently using MAC face and body mixed with toner but I'm not getting the coverage I need...suggestions? I did order the MAC airbrush makeup, just taking a while to get here...
yes, Im a pro freelance makeup artist. In addition to doing stage productions.
Thanks this was sooooo helpful! Im about to get mine!!
I have the exact same compressor... and I'm now ready to start taking it with me on jobs. Do you recommend a particular type of carrying case (preferably with wheels)? I've been looking for one but have had no luck. Thanks! :)
hey..!i'm a new subscriber and i watched most of your videos...i'm very curious on how you operate airbrush and compressor..and actually use it...i'm planning to buy one...but i want to see how you use it..i haven't watched all of your videos so i dunno if you already have any airbrush video tutorial.....hope you can post one...thanks!
excellent video... Thank you oh so much. You are an asset to your profession.... Thanks again...
any airbrush can be used with any air compressor but some are reccomended with others and when your putting two togeather you have to have a hose the fit the compressor, as well as the airbrush.
im from of chile, super cool tus tutoriales, felicitaciones friend
Thanks for sharing Im gonna have to watch again with my handy dandy notepad :P
Question... I was looking at compressors and I noticed that there was also a smart jet pro. If money isn't an issue would you say that the pro is better than just the smart jet??
this guy is very helpful....thank you.
you are so awesome!!!! keep ti up enkore! luv yah
hi! What do I need to have for an airbrush starter kit? was the airspray gun and compressor enough and some liquid make-up to start airbrushing? or do i have to buy these cord and stuff? was it all in there?
the cords are already included in the systems. But yeah thats it - an airgun, a compressor, and the makeup -- your all set to go.
Coils and 3 to 6 psi You are the best for information thaanks!!
Temptu (dot com) also Kett, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics, and Dinair have great AB Makeup
Me too! It was so jazzy!
it would be great if you could do a tutorial on airbrush makeup i wanna see how you do eyelining and mascara
@REL1C Hey thank you for you response. I got it fixed now. Thank you.
Check IN only
I really like your compressor, does it get hot when being used?.my iwata ninja jet always gets hot after used about 15-20 minutes .I don't know is it dangerous ?*.*
Koren..do you have an updated airbrush system?? They have a lot of desk top model ones and I'm wondering if you've used any of it and if you think theyre any good. Thanks
Oh man I love you this was so helpful I live in New Zealand and I was tossing up wether to get this one noe im set, you rock, Mwah mwah.
thanks...your video helped....but i need more help :-) i got a mini airbrush compressor model AS18-2 ...it came with a airbrush kit but no hose...so what do i ask for when i need to get the hose...the 2 you said it comes with...i'm totally clueless...but i would like to learn...or do you have a ebay site that i can check...please help thanks
Hi Enkore I have a question - Are you able to to carry this onboard a plane? Or does this need to be checked in?
Thank you very nice overview
Very helpful, thank you very much for the information :)
hi! can you use an ordinary liquid makeup on an airbrush gun?
your new intro makes me feel like i'm playing a sega game! haha
How does it sound when you turn it on? Is it a quiet or loud machine?
can you use it with painting and make up ?or should you have 2 different ones
Me too. So how did u fix that problem?
thankx for the idea
Hi pursebuzz thank you for your recent video too...very helpul, just ansioux for another hair tut.. :)
